I'm with FMHammyJ--that's a "shack!" This is the stuff of great music; writers and musicians giving the best of their craft. I hope I'll be listening to this 40 years from now--I'll be 89 then.
@Chet1333 Ill be 91....but Ive always been an optimist.....LOL...seriously, I was raised on the Beatles, Stones, Stewart, Doobies, Fleetwood Mac, but I thought these guys were the best to come out of the nineties....saw them live at the height of their fame, and they blew me away.....
talent.....what a concept.....Lord deliver us from the current crop of "musicians"....where its all about the look, autotune, synth, and vapid lyrics.....Call me an old fart, but Ill be humming this song 40 years from now when no one can remember the first bar of Teenage Dream....LOL
a VERY good drummer. Bands don't get to an international level unless the drummer is rock solid. Randy's not only solid but an interesting player as well. Drumming is not only the hits you make but also the hits you don't...and timing of each. Space, surprise, predictability. Great drummers use all three.
That "lapsteel guy" is my former guitarist from about 8 years ago when he was in my band 3 Penny. Johnny Hawthorne....aka Johnny "Midnight" (inside joke)...a great guitar player.
That would be Randy Guss. He (I believe) has a deficiency that caused him not to grow to full potential. He is quite small and more frail looking than a normal man his age. I assure you, it's not woman - Randy is a good man and quite a good drummer.
Damn! How I enjoyed this band!! Im so lucky that bands like these were from my time... What a good song!
