Flood, Worlds Apart, Like A Child, Love Song FOr a Savior, Liquid, and the rest would all make it. JOC are so creative, music that makes you think & want to sing along...This was the first contemporary christian band that really got me interested in the genre. I then bought every album they put out. I probably have well over 500 CD's that are contemporary christian. The message of GOD, love, hope, faith & charity speaks volumes to my heart & touches my soul on a daily basis. I am grateful for JOC & all the other CC bands.

Works won't get you to Heaven but they do go hand in hand with repentance and acceptance of Jesus. Just to accept Jesus won't make you a Christian or get you into Heaven. We need to accept Jesus and repent daily, turn from all unclean things. The gate is narrow and so is the path...see Matthew 7.
So works goes with it but they won't help you without Jesus. Even then God chooses who is saved. Gods mercy and grace is what matters for the professing Christians.
Are you saying then that if we receive Jesus and don't repent daily or don't always live pure that were not saved? What about King David, Jonah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses etc? I don't see evidence that they always lead pure lives.

Sorry for the poor view you have regarding "religion" (Christianity?). We are imperfect messengers trying to convey a perfect message and often our behavior gets in the way. However, I hope you will be open to hear the perfect message - Jesus Christ loves you, died on the cross for your sins, and desires you to follow him. He won't force you, but he will ask you to believe in him and follow him. Simple? It is. No tithing required to be a Christian, just believe and have faith.

Maybe because the monotheistic-God theory is not the truth. Large Systems of lies tend to be unable to prove themselves.
If an omniscient Deity needs mere mortals to give money to an organization to enable it to convince more people to give it money, then something has gone terribly wrong.

Maeon3...You can have all the riches and all the money in the world. But you will feel empty inside because you don't have God he is the reason for us being here. There will be false profits and churchs collecting money and not using it for good work your best bet is to follow the scriptures 100% I like the King james version. I guess you know something is real when you feel it and you know it! I use to feel very angry but I am very happy and I am seeing Gods blessings rapidly!

your right in some point, but what you havent taken thought in is that God and George Bush cant be put in the same category, we al need to believe in something superior, some call it God, others call it in a different way, but its clear that there is some much much superior to all that we know

The Christian church wants it's followers to be like children, that way then never grow up and realize that the bible was written by men, not by an omniscient deity.
The bible is precisely what we would expect to read from a bronze age culture attempting to explain the mysteries of their day with fantasy and superstition. Do yourselves a favor and google "Osiris" you will find a religion very similar to your own. That religion was the pre-cursor to the invention of Christianity by men.

it sounded amazing with the recorder and flute.
they write such feel-good music. I think they go beyond just those with christian rock taste and their sound can appeal to those who really could never get into christian rock, like me :)

ok my dad was dan hasseltines priest when he was a child and my dad has kept in touch with him and ive met him and hes the nicest guy. and ive heard him give talks on leadership and worship at a festival called revelation generation and he really is the nicest guy so i doubt the guy u talked to was really him
