@Nasumisan Windows has a program installed while installing left 4 dead (1 and 2) that doesn't allow you to have it.

You have to manually uninstall that program; DO THIS:

Open 'My Computer'

Go to 'C:'

Go to the 'Windows' Folder

Locate the 'System 32' folder, select it and delete it.

Probably a warning will pop up, it's just the program trying to save itself, disregard that and delete the folder anyway.

Now enter a game and press the key on the left of 1
