OK OK a spaceport with only one destination...the same place you took off from. I think its more glamorous to call it a spaceport...but if planes are only peeping into space its really more of an airport that has spaceplanes...

A real spaceport to mean means you show up to buy a ticket to go into orbit, the spacestation or the moon, or mars etc..

@xpez Wow, very clever! The same story with the airports...they also need to be in the air. Virgin began the construction of it's spaceport a few months ago. No terminal has been built yet. The runway is nearing completion. This footage doesn't belong to America's Spaceport.

This is fake guys, look at the upload date September 2007, LOL. Gerald Martin Construction Management from Albuquerque was chosen in December 2008 to build the spaceport.. In 2007 they did not even have the construction company chosen. FAKE VIDEO. =)

This project seems a bit interesting for a person supposedly concerned about the environment. He just seems to talk about environmental concerns but does stuff like this which contradicts those concerns. Maybe he means the average man is supposed to conserve so rich people can continue to play.

Ummm, this looks like a hoax. I think this is just a mall under construction. A few reporters went out to New Mexico, just sand and a small pad and trailer. It's indefinitely delayed in red tape and viability issues since the fatal accident in Mojave last year. Last I heard the White Knight 2 was being marketed as a areal tanker to fight forest fires. Sorry.

Don't know where you're getting your information, because I've never heard anything remotely similar. After reading your post, I looked, and I still haven't seen, heard, read, etc. anything about White Knight 2 being marketed as anything other than a first stage for a space vehicle.

I live in New Mexico where the spaceport is being built. Some people are complaining that the state government is financialy backing the construction...but I hope it works.

This is my first time posting a comment, and I have been using youtube for awhile. This clip is an inspiration to me. This is a major step forward for us. I am a 24 year old graduate student now, and I am far away from the funds currently necessary to buy a ticket to space, but before I die I hope to be a part of this truely wonderful vision.
