imagine the LOVE his grandmother must have felt when her small Americanized grandson showed her HIS love for her home country's music that she adores by learning how to read and speak her language. I'm sure she felt a bit isolated in the States even after all those years, so his reaching out to connect with her in that way is so beautiful. that has to be the best gift a child has ever given their grandparent.
