  • One of the best superbikes available.

  • im not impressed.. and if looked carefuly then i see many "other producers" parts wich are NOT from bwm itself.....and for engine, japs can make too liter bike wich turns 15,000rpm and delivers 200hp... not a problem for those guys..this is only question of image between people who likes to, oor try to be more then the rest, nothing more nothing else! simple human competicion enwy...

  • @jigibao

Patience, this is their first attempt.

Wait, screw that. This is a fabulous bike and needs no apologies.

Your knowledge of motorcycling can't be too great if you're questioning the use of Brembo brakes and Akrapovic exhausts...

  • unlike a suzuki.. fuck you

  • the coffee shop guy at 1:15!! wtf? proud to own so you wouldn't be proud or happy with a 2010 zx10 r1 gsx1000 triumph or whatever else?

  • Wow, it has a chain drive and telescopic forks. DAMN, that's like.......alien technology!

  • @ninepound wow... you dont listen to well do you

    he said STANDARD

  • Total doucher comment at 1:20. If you're buying this bike to ride it to Starbucks you need to re-evaluate why you are buying this bike. It is designed as a track/race bike and not a Sunday cruiser.........just like the rest of the sportbikes are.

  • Some survey said that less than 10% of sport bike owners take them to tracks but thats beside the point. He's talking about the mystique of the bike. People are more interested in exotic bikes, like an MV Agusta over a Suzuki. This is an exotic bike to me and I'm an Airhead rider so I'm no stranger to BMW's designs.

  • I could not agree with you more, but this bike is intended for more than just track/race, it can be used to commute as well. Like my old FZR originally built to race, and I hauled tuckus on it when ever I could, yet I used it to haul groceries more than once. Plus back in the day it looked great cruising Mill Ave in Tempe AZ. The S1000 RR reminds me of those great times.

  • I want one and dont plan to race it.. maybe let it loose on a highway STRAIGHT away but fast turns scare me

  • You have no business being on a motorcycle.

  • I can do as I please who are you to tell me how to live my life? bike nazi

  • Have fun being scared on a bike that was designed to go quickly thru corners on a racetrack!

  • I was scared to play football until i started to in middle school.. I was scared to take on mechanical engineering degree in college and now Im almost done.. Im sure once I get a hang of it I would be fine

  • It sounds to me like you have very little experience on a motorcycle. At least not enough to be confident in taking the controls of a 1000 cc superbike. I hope it doesn't kill you.

  • your right about that... but hey we all gotta die somehow atleast it would be doing something I always wanted to do... thou I hope I wouldnt die but im deff buying this as soon as I graduate college

  • Something you've always wanted to do is die from stupidity? I don't get it. Why wouldn't you want to start on a bike that will be more forgiving to a new rider? You don't even understand the basic fundamentals yet you're going to buy the most powerful production liter bike ever made based on the fact that you're going to die anyway. Wow! It appears that anyone can graduate from college these days. Good luck!

  • I never said I wanted to die I just said I always wanted a sportsbike... and If BMW came out with a 600 that looked unique and cool like this one I would buy it. but they dont so I want this one.. Im not gonna die Engineers have fast learning curves =)

  • BMW may not make a 600 but there are plenty of other good manufacturers who do. On a side not a 600 isn't really recommended for a beginner either.

I honestly believe that you have no clue on how powerful a modern sportbike is. The problem is that it's harder to learn on a bike that will require so much of your attention. The rate at which you learn will be slower and more than likely you will never be able to learn as much as you could if you had started on a smaller bike. Good luck.

  • I use to have a 100cc dirt bike... but I flipped it.. but that was a long time ago

  • @a2birdcage

    AMEN start on a 500cc!!!!!!!!!

  • There has been quiet a lot of magazines & websites complaining about reliability & durability issues of beemers built 4rom past 2-3 years or so.1 of them even reported BMW having acknowledging this fact.R these issues sorted out with S1000rr,if there was any?

  • Holy crap, that last reviewer is NESBA's resident tire guy, Derick Leslie! Damn, Derick you're a lucky man.

  • Gotta agree with the video, been waiting for BMW to develop something like this. Mines being built now, one of the first 3 scheduled to be delivered in Nor Cal in February. BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER

  • Already put my deposit down. Can't wait till I get home in June to ride!

  • I'd love to put a deposit on one now, only thing that's holding me is the possible first year production 'quirks'. I'll let other riders give real world feedback on actual production machines, not this hand built pre-production unit.
