Eat some more food and drink. Play a web game. Play another web game. After you do these stuff Tomorow... you will get $15000.00, an iPhone 4, and a brand new Nintendo Wii!
What I can't figure out is, if the software is streaming the media from your LAN to the WAN and back to your WAN. If that's the case, this method is terrible. If it's just streaming it on the LAN then it's a good method.
Too bad there is no real media server application that can be used to stream video from your PC straight to your Wii without going across the internet.
@ThisisBambi it's really good for me while my desktop pc is downstairs the wii is upstairs and I still want to watch stuff on my desktop but through my huge tv and wii upstairs, without having to burn everything to a disk first
uhh yeah about acouple of months ago nintendo changed the wii internet channel for free, and if you purchased it with cash before you get one free 500point games, haha
@CookymonsterPwndU Wow, why so many thumbs down? It's a valid option. Although, definitely for more advanced users, and something you shouldn't mess with if you don't want to void your warranty.
It's a bit of a fiddle to set up - but I've been using Orb for a couple months now, and I am pretty stoked with it.
If you downloaded the original video / audio from the web - there is no further degradation by streaming over flash / mp3 / whatever.
About 20% of the files that play ok on my pc just won't run on the Wii (and I can't work out why) - but that still leaves a lot of stuff I can now watch in any room in the house.
This guy seems to gloss over the matter of the 500 Wii points. What exactly do these points buy you and for how long? Anyone have experience with this over time? Do you have to keep buying more Wii points? BTW, what exactly are Wiii points?
Wii Points are the currency you use to buy things on the Wii online. You buy them using a credit card and then use the points to buy games and apps for the Wii. Its kinda a stupid system(why doesn't Nintendo just let you buy the items directly with a credit card), but X-Box has a similiar system. Once you buy something its yours forever, you don't have to rebuy it later unless you delete from your Wii.
PLEASE DON'T READ THIS you will die in seven days if you don't post this comment on at least 10 other videos in the next hour, if you do tomorow will be the best day of your life.
How do you get to manage to play internet radio by following on simple basics? Can it work through shoutcast and icecast under internet radio from orb?, also can it support ogg vorbis?
neither, i'd go with tversity or weezo, seems that weezo has a better on-the-fly .avi to .flv algorithm than tversity. And weezo seems much more wii friendly also, and has so many features... See some tubes of weezo the FPS and quality of the vids seems very good... i have to try it out by myself to find out i guess, why not kawa? no mp3 or on-the-fly encoding, plus its like 1 year old. Does orb has on-the-fly conversion?
try a few times, i had problems too. I had to deactivate windows firewall. Also, be sure to type your ip then /flashlib at the end in the wii. I tried all the pc streamign software, i have to say that tversity throws the best video quality and decent fps. Just keep refreshing and turning sharing on and off

@MarkoMatic369 as an extra note:
use filezilla for ftp streaming
use ftpii or wiixplorer for ftp on the wii
that is if u dont want to go through the process of sending media to ur usb or sd card.
