  • this is jd lwtua album version!

  • Y es Joy Division, no Joe, jejeje...

    («Escuadrón de Prostitutas», literalmente).

  • NOT Nick Cave!

  • vALE,VALE

  • @limbojazzvideo

Nick Vail is an amazing Tricker from Colorado.

  • this is ian....bad joke.

  • erf ! it's not nick, it's ian curtis, joy div, love...

  • Not Cave, no way. Cave's covered plenty, but he's always made the songs his own. Not likely that Bad Seeds guitarist Blixa could ape Bernie that note-pefect or that Cave would use the exact same synth arrangement. Would the poster of this video pls comment about this.

  • Thats not Nick Cave.

  • its called not being slowed down..

  • who is that people on the video?

  • this is joy division but its not from the single with the 4 songs on it anybody know wer to find it

  • ahaha itz a joke or what?!

  • great song, stupid joke!!!

but i would like heard it 4 thru

  • fuck this is ian curtis

  • fuck you.. suck's pussy!!!!

  • this is clearly joy division and to those people attacking nick cave! stfu, u dont know what you are talking about..And why bother! Really !because no'one cares.

  • it's the single-version of joy division(there was the fast version-this one-together with the slow version and these days;seems they couldn't agree wich one to use,so they put both versions on the record-luckely for us!)

  • No.

  • This is just the original slowed down.

    Kind of funny.

  • It wouldn't surprise me if this WAS Nick Cave using a JD soundtrack. Cave is less than a mediocre "artist". He impersonates singing styles blatantly, and steals material from his betters. He is a poser, a charlatan, and employs pseudo artistic elements in a desperate attempt to appear original, but mostly to make easy money!

So who is it, and can you prove it?

  • " He impersonates singing styles blatantly..."

Of course he does. There hasn't been a truly original singer since Elvis. The Beatles ripped off Elvis, The Rolling Stones ripped off old bluesmen, punks ripped off The Who, post punks (like Joy Division) ripped off punks etc.

At least Nick, like Ian Curtis, brings a new approach to the lyrics.

Say what you want about Cave, but I haven't heard too many lyricists tackle what he's tackled.

  • Totally agree!

  • Wow blatant is the word i would use to describe your ignorance. Ian curtis himself is quoted as saying that he impersonates old crooners like sinatra and old school punks like Iggy. Go read a book

  • Ok clever c*nt! Tell ,us all whether this is Nick Cave or Ian Curtis! You can't can you? If it is the infamous imitator Cave, then he needs to apply his own interpretation if he can! It is actually Ian and JD! Cave as his name implies abides in his own arse! Wherever you got the dodgy quote from, Ian modelled his vocal style on Jim Morrison. he did admire Iggy too tho, but Ians style is many miles away from Iggies! He was probably takin the piss! Do you get it?.. If ur not a Manc, probably not!

  • Oh, and what book would you recommend sonny?

  • Hmm maybe touching from a distance, the book written by his wife of so many years, which is riddled with direct quotes and opinions. I can tell you now that this is ian, as Nick has a distinctive sound as far as I am concerned. If you took the time to listen to his albums like murder ballads or dig lazarus dig, you would probably, if it wasn't too much of a stretch, be able to recognise this. Sure Cave might be derivitive, but the material he derives from is often literal, not musical at all.

  • This is Ian. No doubt about that.

  • magnifique version , aussi touchante et belle que l'original...j'"adore.

  • To set the record straight...... no it isn't me singing, it is in fact Ian Curtis, and this is the Permanant Mix of LWTUA. I am tempted to put our version of LWTUA on here so you can see the difference (if there is one!!!). And it certainly isn't Nick Cave.

  • Joe Division.

  • i hope he isn't nick cave xd

  • joe divicion?

  • It is Nick Cave.

Ian Curtis only sings in the chorus with Nick.

  • You mean Ian Curtis only hangs around the kitchen with Nick...

  • This isnt Nick Cave, just another verison of LWTUA form Permanent album.

  • Right...it's Nik Kershaw...sorry for all the confusion!!!

  • this is not nick cave.

  • PROVE IT!!!

  • This was on the B side of the 1980 single along with "These days", I think. It's not Nick Cave. As for Ian Curtis lip-sync-ing, that maybe explains the suicide before their flight to America: the yanks would have spotted that.

  • This is Ian Curtis singing.. people who who say different don't have a clue.

I have 3 versions of this song..

There's this one, by Joy Division. I am told that this was the original but it was out of tune so they did:

The next version, the most famous one. Used to be on youtube. Hosted by mrotweiller. Sang by Joy Division

Then the new version, first version when you type the song title on youtube

  • clexico have one version to

  • Oh, aren't you just the teacher's pet...

    SOD OFF!

  • hahahaha

    that rules

  • ): i was excited. but it is joy division. i think is the permanent mix

  • yes,yes i'know this

  • Terrific song, but it's Joy Division!

  • Definitely not Nick Cave but it's another version of the song.

  • LOL. This is not Nick Cave.

    This is definitely Joy Divison.

Love will tear us apart has more than one version.

  • well, i didn't know that Nick Cave was once Ian Curtis

  • ya,ya,ya algo he oído por ahí.

  • It's Tim Jauncey singing there!!!

    He's fucking ACE!!!

  • It's Ian Curtis !!

  • I still say it's Tim Jauncey...do you even know who Tim Jauncey is??? If you don't know who Tim Jauncey is, how can you be 100% certain it's not Tim singing???

IAN CURTIS WAS A LIP SYNCHER!!!

    Never sang a bit...fact...you can't deny it...but you'll probably try...

So...have I laid it on thick enough yet???

  • that's funny...

  • I'd bet my left nut that 'Thepaybackriot' is American and thinks that 'Blue Monday' was written by Orgy... :banghead:

  • LOL....Nick Cav3?

    Oh dear oh dear.

Next time your sister is on her moons, and therefor not available for you to sleep with....find something else to do, PLEASE.

here'a an idea......use shazam,,,,,dial 2580, play this "nick cave" track down the phone and see who it's fingerprinted by.

NICK CAVE....with Steve Morris drumming and Peter Hook playing bass??????

Did you parents have any children who LIVED?

  • This isn't Nick Cave...

  • SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT!!!

  • This is definitely Joy Division - they put out two versions on the 7" and 12" singles, cat no. FAC23

Ian Curtis and Nick Cave sound completely different LOL

  • Que burro dá zero pra ele!! Q nick cave o carai, essa voz é do Ian curtis

  • there's no c k e or a in joy division. 0/10 for spelling.

  • how could that NOT be ian curtis.

    it's quite obviously him.

    vincent, you witch.

  • Thats a recording of joy divisions love will tear us apart, which was on joy divisions 'Permanent' disk.

There's more than one recording of this song.

This has nothing got to do with nick cave. Probably some video uploaders attempted to get profile views.

  • this isnt nick cave!!!! i have this on cd!!!

    aggh

  • Alright. You Have It On CD.

You Win. Now Quit Crying About A Useless Youtube Arguement You Tool.

  • Actually, I don't think that's Nick Cave...I believe it's Paul Young!!!

    WOOOOOO

  • What does this have to do with Nick Cave...being that it is in fact the alternate version of Joy Divisions Love Will Tear Us Apart? Joy Division...NOT Nick Cave...
