it's a real bassline played by nick fyffe, the music was recorded to computer for editing and arrangement purposes. synth bass was used on canned heat, planet home, destitute illusions. that type of sound.

Actually, if you compare these lyrics to any of the songs from their last 2 albums, this song is gold... if you look at it that way. And lyrics aren't just about content, they have to fit within the restrictions of the rhythm and be infectious enough to sing along with. So in that case, they succeed. But anyway, like some other people have said, this song does kick you in the netherregions if you're not ready for it. That breakdown is the sickest one they've ever done.
