  • I own a ranger and love the boat, i could give a fuck if the allison is faster. rangers are still better

  • The troll motor has steel plating under the fiberglass for extra strength,no wood so the boat will never rot, after it fades you can buff it more than boats with metal flake. I mean I could name 1027371938 things that make an allison all around better built boat. It's all in what you like though..as far a speed. It gets no better so put any bass boat next to it and I'm sure you would still have the same results given 225. Allisons are rates for 3 litre motors..suck it up and just accept what ha

  • My dad recently bought an xb2003 and I fished out of/and rode in for the first time a xb2002 last weekend..placed second in the tournament and took 1-1 1/2 foot waves like a dream. I personally favor gamblers over any boat, they have speed, take rough water just as good as any other bass boat/and look a hell of alot better than all other bb's IMO. But back to the point all this bullshit about allison being cheaply built..you need to own one/work on one before you speak.

  • @xb21bass. I agree that hull design plays a major role in performance. I don't believe a 90 on an Allison drag or any Allison would achieve 80. I was implying that you can't just bolt on a run of the mill 90 production outboard on the Allison and run 80. Would take lots if set up, seat time. Money and experience. As far as the gas guzzler big blocks, When they say 700 it's prob more like 400 in reality.

  • Guy in the Ranger slowed down because he knew there was a sand bar coming up. Allison guy has no clue what's about to happen.

  • only on slick water.

  • @eyefishalot. A production 90hp outboard regardless of make DOES NOT have the power or gearing to turn enough wheel to achieve 80mph. Simple as that.

  • @TheDogdiggidy

1958, a 60hp outboard held records of 100 + mph. Achieving top speed has to do more with a boat's hull not horsepower. Look at all those flat bottom, gas guzzling V-8 blocks with 700hp + only doing 60-70mph. Explain?

  • What would have made this video cool is if the Allison was actually fast and the other boat being past was somewhat comparable in speed ..................

  • Thats hands down the gayest fucking video I've ever seen on this website. Its like posting a video of an adult beating up a child, which is always a fair fight. Oh, and the insecure little dicked Allison driver oughta have his self righteous face caved in for cutting off another boat. I know I know, your totally the coolest guy ever cause you drove an allison past a fucking snail but lose your hard on for yourself already.

  • @MrJon1550 eyefishalot is right, he can ride the chops. i dont own a allison nor have i rode in one but i own a bullet 17vee i do it all the time. they say that about a bullet. but like he say ,for people who think those high performance cant ride chops havent rode in one. i also own a ranger 360v dam good all around boat, but i love speed on water. if you get a chance ride in one of the two on choppy water it will change that thought that they cant do it. ranger is a very good craft

  • rangers are slightly heavier, thus handling rougher water much better. Lets see your allison outrun a ranger in 3 ft rollers

  • the point is it's two completley diff boats. Ranger is old mans caddy for fishing and allison is the porshe

  • Comment removed

  • The allison had the Mercury High performance racing outboard 225 hp. The Ranger and the Mercury 150 xr6. How can you compare this?

  • Comment removed

  • @jkmoto46 Wouldn't matter, swap motors and with the XR6 on the XB2003 it would still outrun the Ranger with a 225PM. Ranger builds a FINE boat, they excell at fishing. But they CAN'T hang with the A-boat whenever the motor is running and that includes rough water as well...

  • @eyefishalot, You obviously dont know a damn thing about Ranger bass boats or Allison bass boats. True an Allison will out run a Ranger on water like glass, but give it the slightest chop and a Ranger will run off and leave his ass. Allisons have never run well in rough water. Also calling Ranger out on the foam spray of their boats and saying they become weak and absorbent is like saying oxygen will kill you. I have a 1993 482 Ranger Comanche and its strong as the day I bought it.

  • @reidoconner

Funny? If i recall, I owned a Ranger z20 before and currently have an Allison xb21 Bassport. If I recall, my ranger did have a slightly bigger fishing platform but when its comes to running through chops my Ally is a lot more comfortable. I'm mostly riding ontop of the wakes and the sharp keel seems to spear waves like butter. I run through 2-3 chops without any problems. Both boats has its advantages. btw, the water in the vid, it was not like glass. sorry buddy.

  • Was in an Allison 2002 with a stock 150 Evinrude Intruder, and broke 80 fully loaded. Ultimate fishing rig!

  • Love how ya spray him lol... guess he can't beat ya ass ir he can't catch ya lol. GO ALLISON!!!!

  • héhè_ì_sìgnêd_up_ät_füll_tïlt_pøkër

    _usîng_refèrrãl_còdé:_you600_ând_gõt_ä_600_Ð0llar_bønûs

  • The only way to truly compare would be the same length and hp.

  • Allison xb2002 & xb2003 models will not be the best in 3' waves but the XB21 Bassport Pro model is up for the challenge

  • now do the same race in 3 foot waves

  • apx weights, xb21 2000lbs and z21 2500lbs. How did you estimate 10 times lighter? wow, where did you go to school? Allison racing boat? They have many models get your facts straight. Flimsy? Your 519 cannot perform on rough water vs any 21 footers. I'm not saying Allison is the best boat in the world but they have many models so get your facts straight.

  • Lets just compare Z21 vs Xb21 Bassport Pro both w/250 Merc Pro XS. Z21 weighs 1900lbs, man + full gear = apx 2500lbs, 52 gallon tank and outputs apx 170 mile range. Xb21 weighs 1400lbs, man + full gear = apx 2000lbs, 30 gallon fuel tank and outputs apx 200 mile range and do 90+mph. Good luck at the pump and don't say the Allison xb21 Basport Pro sucks in rough water b/c obviously you've never been in one. Can't say the same for the xb2002 and xb2003 weighing 800lbs.

  • Stop lying to these people. You do not get avatar videos. You get a sunk'n ranger which is supposed to float. Foam filled? Did you know that spray foam in time from vibrations and condensation it will become weak and absorbent? I'm not saying cookie cutters aren't great fishing boats, all are great fishing boats but aren't built to last. Allison do not have spray foam but High density PVC foam core in hulls.

  • @Eyefishalot shut up i owned a ranger 185vs and we forgot to put the plug in an never noticed it until we was getting on plane

  • doesnt take much to run down an old three series with a tired omc on it

  • Custom weld cobra se 51mph top speed but can go up rapids!!! Jet Boat For life!! Prop less!!!

  • Every boat is sinkable. Yes, even Rangers! With the weight, it'll sink faster. Forget the ranger company test video, its balony. Check out this ranger in the real world test. Cut and paste, "167_6707.AVI"

  • @Eyefishalot first off, when you cut and paste that, you get avatar videos...wtf. second, the newer rangers CAN'T sink because they're foam filled, and the foam itself floats.

  • Here's my question. Why do you launch so damn far from where you fish?

  • @fixitman21 one it takes longer to drive to were ever he wants to fish and he might fish spots on the way there

  • Wow. An Allison passed a Ranger. Big deal.

  • @pearldrummerbt123 Come on dude, it'd be easier to just admit you are a 16 year old. Lol, you're not fooling anyone. I have no doubt that you have fished out of a ranger before but seriously man, you're still a kid. If you had of been more constructive in your criticism towards Allison boats, you might have been more believable. But I'm sorry man, your TWO initial post gave that away.

My best is 9.5 on good ole' Sam Rayburn.

  • @pearldrummerbt123

You're not 41 and you don't own a lead sled. You are a 16 year kid who happens to be good on the drums.

    I have an 07' XB-21 Pro, 250 XS...best speed to date 95.4.

  • @TheAeroncachief I'm not saying Allison makes a bad boat, but in tournaments, I FLY past skeeter's, allisons, and the other "fast" boats in my 07 z21/250 merc proxs. You know why? Unless the water's absolute glass, they can't run flat out. the medium/large sized lakes around here get rough. I can run flat out in my more solid/heavier ranger while they're taking a beating in their "fast boats"

  • @pearldrummerbt123

Nobody likes little boys pretending to be experts. Thanks for playing.

  • @pearldrummerbt123

    LOL!!

Is that the best you got little boy? You have proven time and time again that you do not know a DAMN thing about Allison bass boats and yet you continue on like you are some bassboat/fiberglass expert. Besides, when someone as ignorant as you has to flash their "fishing prowess", it usually means you are nothing but dumb internet warrior and have no relevance in the fishing community.

If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.

  • @pearldrummerbt123

Are you kidding me? Your post show how much your 16 year old brain doesn't know. Allison Boats are not mass produced, quite the opposite actually. I believe they put out less than 70 boats a year unlike your cookie cutter ranger. Pros don't run Allison's because the company doesn't sponsor any of them which means no contingency money in sanctioned events (BASS Federation). As for you fishing the McDonald's tournament, taking your daddy's boat doesn't mean squat.

  • Faster or not faster .that was not classy at all..if i was in the ranger i wouldve followed the allison and broke sumthin

  • Triton!!!!!! My tr21 is fast as hell and when u get 70 plus its fast enough

  • btw, Ranger first bought their mold from Allison when they first started their company. We sometimes forget the God fathers who started it all. People need to lower their pride and appreciate what others have b/c if it wasn't for them you wouldn't know what an allison was, what a z21 looks like in person, a basscat and so on....gesh people. Some of you keep saying, "He must have a small pen*s b/c he drives a porsche". Guy, you have a small pen*s and you still don't have porsche.

  • You can throw a 90hp on an allison and it will do 50's. The SS models with 90-135hp can do 80 - 90mph. A 115hp on an XB2003 will do mid 60's. Its a combination of both, Hull & Motor but 90% hull design. Comparing cars to boat are two different things. I find it funny how people always say things like, "that guy must have a small pen*s b/c he drives a porches", "Money doesn't make you happy", "My boat will smoke that boat" (I haven't seen a stock basscat top 80mph - it did, its got a 300hp)

  • Rude driver of the filming boat.

  • This video is retarded.. It is not your boat that is fast it's that merc on the back.. You can put a LS7 in a pinto and make it faster than lambos ferraris etc.. but it's still a fucken pinto!

  • For all the negative commentary: There's no point in buying a fast boat if you ain't gonna go fast. Just sayin'.

  • Who cares, lets just go fishing

  • ranger all the way who cares if you can go 90 mph fishability beats out speed anyday and allison sucks on fishability! and in my ranger i can take out three easily and have had five on my boat before and still gets on plane fine so allison in my opinion sucks!!!

  • what size motor do you have on it and what size is the boat bc my 17ft with a 70hp johnson on a calm day will reun 55 to 60 and on a rough day run 45 to 50

  • I have a 97 Cat with a 3.0L that will smoke either of these boats and still fish like a dream.

  • This is what folks do when they can't catch fish.

  • take down ur seats wacko

  • hate these fucking nub camera operators that dont think its worth the viewers ears and sterio equipment to fucking put a piece of tape over that mic..... jesus christ... i think i just blew a subwoofer.... and btw, both your boats are pieces of shit. get a whaler or go home.

  • @SpAwNTRiAD just bec all u can afford is a whaler(assuming u even have a boat let alone a whaler) doesnt make all other boats that are more expensive bad

  • I hope you knew the guys in the Ranger because if that was me and somebody cut me off like that I would be PISSED!!!!

  • why does it matter ranger vs bullet vs skeeter and so on and so on!!! Its a fuck of alot better than standing on shore!!!

  • my buddy has an 02 22 fot gambler it is the best boat ive ever been in and has all the featured u need

  • Allison Bass Boat vs Ranger Bass Boat! This title is not very fair and miss leading. The ranger is much heavier ( more durable hull) and does not have a racing motor. Change the title to race boat vs. fishing boat.

  • Not to pop your bubble or anything dv6000hp but the rangers hull is no where near as durable as the allisons. An allisons hull is top of the line, in both speed and durability. That's why they have a life time warranty on them, because they are confident in their hulls. But I will agree with you on the comparison ratio. It's not fair to compare an allison to anything but an allison.

  • yea we all know rangers r heavier and slower than a allision so chill i wanna know what motors they both have

  • i would think a ferrari would outrun a lincoln

  • i wouldn't say a allison is a ferrari but a ranger is a cadilac

  • ranger is definetly a cadilac of the sea

  • @rrengineer1

anyone thats ever been in both ranger and champion brand boats knows that Champion made the best all around hull on a bass boat. Champion is the caddilac of rough water...certainly not ranger.....driver input also makes a huge difference in rough water. sure chapm doesnt have alot of the knick nacks that a ranger has on it but they are the superior bass boat hull....they always have been.

  • thats not a fair race lol. atleast race a bullet. it would take that allison alot longer to catch it.

  • I find a canoe does a nice job. Doesn't disturb the fish and will hold literally hundreds of beers. Now stop watching boat videos and go catch a lunker.

  • March 2009 Amistad coming in to Diablo East from old Mexico wind howling 45 mph... a 21 ft Allison w/ 300 XS passed my 521 Ranger w/ 250 XS. Quartering waves were giving me a rough time (incipent chine-walk) - from 50 yds away he looked like he was taking the waves well. I ran out of steam at 75 gps (propshaft fixed @ 3+ inches below pad) and he just kept going.... my new dream.... son=college grad=521 owner..... dad=Allison BasSportPro owner.... best of both worlds.... fishing and flying!

  • 1st I am a fan of the Ranger in this clip. This Allison is a 97 and has handled major storms(V Hull) on Pickwick and Lake Lanier. The driver is key. You can't just jump in an Allison an go (it takes talent and two hands). The great thing about this boat is it will seat four guys behind the glass and roll 90 mph. How many times have you wanted to take a 3rd or 4th fisherman with you? Granted Decks are samller then most but the biggest large mouth I ever caught was in a Jon Boat.

  • Guy, you obviously dont have a clue about Bass boats or you would know that an Allison is what everyone wishes they had. There is not a stronger built boat out there, There is not a faster built bass boat out there. Im not going to knock the other builders, there are a lot of good boats out there. "Very cheap built", "Mass produced" Not one piece of wood in an Allison, lifetime hull warranty, Hand built one at a time per order fool. Go ahead, lets hear some more of your drivel.

  • lol i do this with my allison a lot

  • i have. and have repaird a shit load my self.

both boats are pretty well built. each has there pros and cons

  • My 1993 180 Procraft's Transome finally crapped out with a 175 efi beating on it all these years, I'm amazed it has lasted that long. Guess what though! I found a 1977 Allison 18' in the weeds with vines growing over it. Everything out of the Procraft and into the 32 year old Allison, including the 2.5 175 Mag EFi and she is going to run like a raped ape. Take your cookie cutter home kid. My cookie cutter just crapped out.

  • i would have fixed the procraft...

  • dont bother man... they will never understand...

  • i had a allison back in 1997, got it brand new, 19' with a 175 evinrude. 2 years later transum failed. my sons has a 1987 ranger 19' with 225 pro xs beating on it, never had any problems, and it sure rides better than my old allison, and loads better on the trailer. Allisons are nice boats that arent mass produced, but they sure aren't built as well as ranger.

  • Comment removed

  • all of it, i have a champion now, i wanted a z comanche ranger but they are pricey, still have my old allison. I only se it to ride around in on a calm day. Allisons and rough water, not good

  • You must have been knocked out before you were thrown out b/c there is no Ranger that can do 80.

  • No need for a bassboat to do 90mph. My bassboat does 50 with 150hp. MORE than adiquite. It troubles that any moron can buy one of these 255hp bassboats. No need for that much hp. for anyone but a profesional fisherman in tournament conditions.

  • ... Its fun to go fast. That is why people buy bass boats with big engines. Its not your money... so why are you complaining? Most bass boats are also built to go fast.... so calm down.

  • We should probably leave driving cars up to professionals and walk.

  • Yes,we should leave driving cars up to professionals and walk when they start to sell 850hp. minicars to anyone with a checkbook. I can drive and you might be able to drive but the general public can't they are idiots!!!

  • @FastRebel it takes no talent to drive a bass boat tho lol lol they are as easy as it gets

  • @FastRebel lol no, but we SHOULD leave driving cars 200mph up to professionals, which is a more accurate comparison. I have a ranger z21 with a 250 proxs on it, does about 72ish, plenty fast for me. it might not be 78 like a skeeter, but it is FAR better when the water's rough, NO COMPARISON. also, ranger's shine when the trolling motor's down - can't beat fishing out of a z comanche

  • @rb2268 I got some Zebco gear to go with your 150. Nothing like 110 on the lake at 4 AM.

  • @rb2268

    That's not even the point.

Some of us LIKE to go fast AND fish too...pro tourny guys should be the only fast guys huh? Do you even have a clue what little it takes to CALL yourself a "proffesional tournament fisherman"? Entry money you numbnuts.

  • @rb2268 not true its impossible to go over 75 if you cant drive

  • @rb2268 bro you are dumb

  • @rb2268 Wow you sound like an Obama supporter!

  • @rb2268 whatever dude, i love high performance bassboats, granted it takes common since but nothing is more fun then hauling ass across a lake to get to a favorite fishing spot. have fun with your 50mph!

  • you mean street mile ? ok that sounds more real :)

  • i doubt the 90 knots ....

  • how much is 1 knot in kph?

  • 1 knot is 1.852 km/h. It is a nautical mile in an hour. Reason why a nautical mile is 1,852 km is because it is a good compromise between equatorial and polar great circles.

  • 90 mph not knots. The boat will do 97 mph all day but we had four dudes in the boat.

  • i have a very fast allison

  • SMOKED.

  • its not the boat really, its the motor and prop set up, i got a javlin with a 225, 30 pitch prop, i can pass any ranger stock ranger setup with ease

  • Ranger better still. I mean... Do they even have the same horse power? maybe people in ranger were fatter or something. IDK

  • ha, maybe this will open up some of those ranger boat owners eyes! Allisons are better they just wont admit it, nice boat by the way

  • longvilleguy - Somebody else that don't know what the fuck he's talkin about.

  • Merc' power!

  • ally boats is the only boats thats every got n front my bullet 1990 built 225stage one weight reduction 0 to 88 with fishing gear in 9 sec flat. i race any ranger any day and not ben beat by a nother bullet yet 3 an 0

  • Great video!! Love Rangers but when it comes to speed Ally all the way. video speaks for itself.

  • it doesn't matter if you got 20 lbs of largeheads in there how fast you run! allison or ranger

  • TOO BAD..that RANGER was old the Z Boats would KICK ASS............

  • longvilleguy - Rangers are great boats! Z boats are great, but still can't match the speed. An Allison with a 90 hp will break 60mph.

  • Quality wise, a ranger is gonna blow an allison clean off the water, but definetely not with speed.

  • Comment removed

  • I older boats are actually a little faster than the Z boats with an exception to Z520.

  • Nothing like having a shit ride either

  • 175optimax - This Allison rides good. If you experienced a shit ride ride i would blame the driver.

  • Nothing like smoking every other bass boat made. Priceless

  • Thats great.. I do that every time i see a ranger...Let them have buyers regret..Only i like to cross there path after , to give them a little more wake to eat.....then when i out fish them its really sweet!!

  • outrun me if you want.....but drive your roostertail across in front after?.....you got to come back to the ramp sometime....lol

  • True...But when you carry you don't worry about it...

  • Me carry too....see ya on the water....lol

  • Hope so....springs right around the corner !

  • pretty good!

    Allison's are great!

  • dam were can i get one

  • i would be pissed if a guy got that close to me when i was runnin

  • wifisherman - appreciate your concern! The guys in both boats are friends. I don not think you will ever have to worry about someone passing you if the wi in your username stands for Wisconsin. Wisconsin lake speed limits. Beautiful State sucky law. Fortunately for us TN, MS, AL and AR don't have them.

  • yea thats wisconsin for ya.. but i wont have to worry about breaking many laws with a 90 merc.. hah.. and yep its beautiful up here!

  • u guys were flyin
