  • I just changed my plugs in my 2006 Cobalt and want to say thank you...your video was a great help!!!

  • Thanx for the video man, this sparkplug layout is identical to the 06 ss non sc model too

  • Cool video, but are you sure that the Cobalt in this video is a 2007?From what I know is that the individual coil packs were not used until the 2008 model year. I worked on plenty of 2007's and they had that enormous cover that was one whole piece with all 4 spark plug boots.

  • @suburbanator91 Yes I am 100% sure this is a 2007 model. I bought it brand new at the dealer. The tittle says 2007 and also when the insurance or anyone else would checked the VIN #, it would come up as an '07.

Maybe the individual coil packs only came in the LS model which is the base model. Since the whole piece cover looks nicer, Im guessing they kept that for the LT's and SS'. Maybe IDK.

  • @IrvingLudwig, the individual coil packs have nothing to do with the trim of Cobalt. That ECOTECS used by the Cobalts were the "Family II" The individual coil packs mark the beginning of the 2nd generation block of the family II's. I looked into it and they did start using the 2nd generation blocks in the 2nd half ofthe 2007 model year. There is a lot to explain but just know that te one whol piece coil is crap, these are better.

  • @suburbanator91 Cool. I did buy this towards the end of '07 therefore its a late model year and that explains why it has the individual coil packs. Thanks for the info.

And too bad my cobalt is totaled. Now I bought something else but I stuck with Chevy =D

  • @suburbanator91 my 07 cobalt ss has the individual coil pack also 2.4

  • Thanks for the vid man! gonna replace my spark plugs today

  • excelente vid man :D... amm i have problems whit my 2006 cobalt ls :( it doesnt speed up and some times its sounds like a lawnmower :/ ... i think it needs a full tune up... my dad says its the transmision :/

  • @Narugir Yeah you should deff. get that checked out. I have another video that shows how to change the fuel filter. Maybe your fuel is not running well through your fuel lines and filter which is why it may take a while for it to speed up. Becuase the fuel is not flowing properly.

As for the lawnmower noise, Im not quite sure why man. Get it checked and do a tune up for sure.

  • thanks, saved me bucks from the dealer.Plus upgraded to a premium plug, runs well.

  • very helpful thanks

  • @futbolfan84 no problem! you are welcome

  • Good Job on this video man!!

  • @Evylnsyde1 Thanks man! I hope to bring more videos soon, unfortunately a lady hit my car yesterday on the passenger side. She messed it up big time, therefore it had to be towed = ( .....hopefully it will get fixed soon
