I also think that 'Presto' sounded great live on this tour, as did 'Entre Nous' on the last tour but perhaps it took them this long to figure out how to make those two songs compelling enough in big arena settings to hold an audience. I also love the rearranged 'Digital Man' they brought out a few tours ago.

@ultramanhayata1 A good quality live version of Prime Mover exists on the Show of Hands laser disc and a few boots of that era. @rockerfromhell32 they have never played 'Second Nature' live, nor 'Open Secrets','Tai Shan', or 'High Water'. Probably the album they've played the smallest % of, which is surely a shame. I often wonder if we as fans are biased toward songs they have never played live- I know 'Losing It','Available Light', and 'Alien Shore' are in my top 20 or so of all their songs.

Regarding RUSH missing notes: Stay home and listen to the album! The beauty of their live performances is you get to hear this great song made greater by higher fidelity and "a little spice" thrown in by the guys that created the recipe! Why not enjoy the show, vs. critiquing it? Fukkas! ;)

I've read a few comments on here about Alex Lifeson, and all I can say is he co-wrote all of this magical stuff and he can therefore play it how he god damn pleases!!

Not much that can be done about the hand for the first half of this, eventually it disappears... gotta love how Alex stretches the song out for a minute during his solo. Hope this is a mainstay of sets from here on out (they hadn't played it since the Presto tour prior to this summer).

This just In...Rush has announced they will be extending The Time Machine Tour through 2011 from March until July with stops in North America not reached on the first Leg and will also be Including their first visit to Ireland on the European dates...PARTY ON RUSH!!!

@ieetemos4breakfast What's even cooler is that they're filming a DVD in Cleveland on 4/15! I hope they keep this, "Time Stand Still" and "Stick It Out" in the set that night!! I think I'll put the DVD at the top of my next Christmas list!

@ieetemos4breakfast NICE!! Thus far, my favorite Rush DVD is R30! "Mystic Rhythms"(WAY underrated!!), "Force Ten" and the acoustic version of "Resist"(GORGEOUS!!) in the same set?? Gotta love that!!! Notice the first four songs in that set list are the opening songs on their respective albums?

Alex's solo sounds pretty damn good to me! Personally, I'd hate to see exactly the same performance everytime and all of the best guitarists play their solos as they feel them on the night so they're never going to be identical. Don't know why people get so up tight about it. Still a great band after all these years and a brilliant track.

I listen to Rush all the time, but don't notice many noticeable mistakes by Alex in his solos. He's definitely adjusted them on the fly every now and then, but nothing that sounds bad. Not in my opinion anyway.

Scimastergeneral. You are entitled to your opinion, fuck knows you seem to make enough of them across YouTube, particularly about Alex Lifeson. At the end of the day I am not seeing or reading that people are slamming Lifeson , or his solos. You list yourself as a Rush fan so why don't you just enjoy and appreciate the fact that they are still out there and playing for their fans.

EXCELLENT!!! They haven't played THIS precious gem, since the Presto tour twenty years ago!!! I'm relieved to hear that Geddy Lee can still sing it in the same key!!! I was afraid they might take it down a few, like they did with "Temples Of Syrinx"! I hope they start bringing back more songs from Power Windows and Hold Your Fire with each future tour!!! @SciMasterGeneral not really sure what you mean. His playing is the same as ever I caught this show on july 5th and he was in top form. The marathon solo on this particular video is played exactly like it is on the alnum so, i don't undertsand what you think is amateurish about it?

If you think he sounds amateur, well, thats your opinion - it's a free country. Maybe he does . I don't know . I had fun at show 1 and will have fun at show 2 regardless ........I'm just glad they are touring yet again

@pm3181 I'll admit Alex is a little sloppier with the solos in his older age, and sometimes he'll hit a bum note or something like that which kinda gets me down cuz Rush is the only band where the solos move me. So it's upsetting when he doesn't do it right, but at the same time, I'm just happy to hear be there seeing them live and enjoying the realness of the experience, and knowing that theyre human like anyone else. Take it for what it is and love every moment, instead of complaining. Right?

Lifeson is always fucking up the execution of his solos live! I can name a thousand instances! Funny thing Alex never use to fuck up in the seventies.
