  • I can't get enough of bluegrass, which of course has sparked an interest in banjos...being a guitar player, I feel it would be pretty easy to switch over to a five-stringer...of course, I may just get a guitjo like you have, it sounds pretty good and the switch in instruments would be seamless (they're tuned the same, correct?)...I guess what I'm tryin' to say is awesome playing, you've inspired me...

  • @clwacdc I play guitar and 5-string banjo. I suggest you go for actual banjo not guitar banjo. That way you'll get the banjo perspective for making music and turn off your guitar aproach. The result is lot of new kinds of ideas, plus you find more interesting banjo notes/tabs for 5-string banjo. Bottom line is learning a new instrument not a same one with funnier sound ;-) I hope this makes some sense. Nothing against these guitar banjos though. New sound inspires new ideas too.

  • I love the "pinging" sound of this banjo! it really sounds like it's from the far south. It's a great instrument - played by a great musician - playing a great tune! Awesome ;)

  • I just got a six string banjo, and they are wonderful to use for blues and ragtime! Keep on picking!!!

  • I love the sound!!

  • Yes, proper and real banjo, but more specifically; a banjitar.

  • Six-string banjos are a separate instrument in the class of banjos in the same way that 12, 9, and 7 string guitars are separate instruments within the class of guitars

  • the tuning is the same of a 6 strings guitar? :o

  • Hello!

Yes, it's tuned like a regular guitar!

  • Very cool! Are they strung with regular guitar strings?

  • Thanks!!

Yes, the strings are regular ones, almost, these have loop ends.. I think it's 0.10's to 0.48's on this one now.

  • Awesome!I loved it!!

  • Thanks!!

Yeah, it's a nice old banjo!!

    5***** Cheers, Frans.
