All I see when I see Zelda is the fear inducing F-air and B-air that can make or break amazing kills, unlike the knee which can be used to start a gimp if you miss the sweetspot, the kicks have very little if you miss, but god help me when you can get a hit its so satisfying.

@MBlueFlame Actually, they do fight, you just have to know how to get them to fight without being teamed on. I can be both. (I fight, but if there is 3 taunt party people there, I guess I go with them.) I fight great so it doesn't matter which side I'm on. I'll tell you this, if you are looking for fighting, you might as well exit and re enter Basic Brawl until you find more fighters, because I wouldn't suggest hitting a taunter. Half of those taunters are f*cking good at fighting. xD

@MBlueFlame Also, if you want to get RID of a few of them, I would suggest playing offline till you get great at 3 vs 1. Then all you have to do in NEVER quit, no matter HOW much they mess with you. I fight taunters(only the ones that can't even taunt right...) and I fight the person till they leave. Sure I get 3 on 1'd, but I no eventually they will get tired and quit. I'm just giving an easy example of what happened yesterday online with me, hahah.xD

Sigh, did you ever play Zelda 2? The first 40 seconds are the music of the Great palace which is the final level in Zelda 2 whereas the "original" is the music used in all the other temples. Granted this version hasn't done the original Zelda 2 Great Palace theme justice but it's still a good song.

Because, mathematically speaking she's not the best character. If you break down her attack speed, recovery, priority on her attacks, and etc....she just isn't as good as most characters. Zelda is just meh.

BUT, you have to understand that people respect people who use lower tier characters. It takes more skill to be good with them, and you didn't just chose the "easiest" or "best" character to earn your wins...you used your true, hardcore skill. So be proud!

@PonineTeazerBlaze I hear ya! She's my best too, she and Peach XD. I never undersrtood why she was put bottom tier in Brawl and what, Low tier in Melee?? Her Brawlcoming was an improvement. At least 100% and you just need to dash attack, jump, fair or bair lol. She has some sick combos, her fireballs can lead into combos, or end combos, and she's wayy better than Sheik. All in all, Zelda is totally underrated.

Zelda has NO approach options. The closest thing she has to pressure is Din's Fire which can easily be reacted to and shielded. Play any character that has a forward tilt that isn't laggy and decent range (MK is a good example) and a percent lead. Zelda will be forced to approach (she has no options to do). Keep your eye on how the Zelda moves and react to make sure not to get hit by any of her stupid stuff. Just f-tilt to keep her back, that's it. GG, you win.

@KirbysDreamLand3 That's what sheik is for, you wear down the other guy with her quick arsenal of attacks and when their at a high enough percentage switch to Zelda to lightning kick them in the face. Zelda is for the hard hitting and sheiks for the damage racking.

Her spacing and projectiles make her what would be a solid character except for the fact she lacks practical kill moves and her best kill move is her tipper upsmash which isn't reliable. Some people switch from Sheik to Zelda to get the kill when your opponent is in kill percent, but that's all Zelda is really for... Kills. XD

Zelda has no approach options, bad spacing, is laggy, etc. Sheik's okayish, Zelda's just bad.

@KirbysDreamLand3 To be fair, Zelda wasn't ever meant to be an initiator. If you want an initiator, play Sheik. Zelda is designed to force her foe to approach her, which is accomplished easily with Din's Fire and Nayru's Love forming a rather attractive poke and defend combo. Once close to her, Zelda's attacks and throws all have very nice knockback and damage, and most of them initiate rather fast, her throws in particular.

People suck with Zelda because they try and mount a pressure offense.

I main MK and all I have to do is get like 20% on a Zelda then just stand in place and laugh. What can Zelda honestly do? I can just shield Din's Fire and when the Zelda finally gets annoyed and loses their patience, Zelda's approach can easily be reacted to and I can just f-tilt/fair/Up-B to keep her out. I win.

There's a good Zelda, and then there is a "good" Zelda. "Good" Zelda's will never start an offense, because of the fact that too many characters can get a clear upper hand on her. If she needs to start an offense, she should start one as Sheik instead, which a lot of people forget.

@BigBenClockTower This is why there are few "good" Zelda players. Learning to play Zelda means you also need to learn to play Sheik, as both of them have a very different role. It takes a certain degree of patience too, as because you can't approach, many opponents will try and force you to do so so they can get the upper-hand.

In the hyper-offensive Brawl meta-game that currently exists, Zelda is low-tier because she can't play a good pressure approach (unlike, say, Dedede or Meta Knight).

The only good Zelda players are Riot and DarkMusician (I don't even know if DM plays anymore, I rarely hear about him nowadays).  And also, she HAS to start an offense if I have the percent lead, or she'll get timed out, that's how Brawl works. Also, you can't just change to Sheik whenever you want, changing is very slow and equals a free punish.

While I disagree with it, percent determines matches in which time expires and stocks are equal as of recent tournament rules. I do have several disagreements with this "percentage rule", but you guys decide, not the general populace.

This is an unfortunate occurrence, but I can see why people would get upset at that sort of thing, and will respect their view on it. This sounds great, but it's still a bit disappointing that they added some of the music from the regular temples.For a really authentic Zelda II experience, listen to 0:00 to 0:34, skip 0:35 to 1:11, and keep repeating from 1:12 to 1:44 until you get tired of clicking so much.
