  • Hi Ross, I'm a Japanese fan. Thank you for posting the great footages! They make me happy. All of your 4 albums are my treasures. They inspired me to learn English. Thanks to you, I've been working as simultaneous interpreter. I met you at the EMI party in London on March 29th, 1977. You were very kind to me. I hope you remember my oil painting of kimono-clad Ross. I miss the unrealized world tour of Strapps. I hope to see your live performance someday in future. Thank you! Take care!

  • I saw strapps in the 70's at Leeds and Wakefield also supporting at Bradford Uni, brilliant lets have some more !!!

  • Down to you must be one of the greatest rock songs of all times...circus big tops gorillas....thrillers.....See them smile!!

    Love it

  • Ross stagg is my teacher at Nirimba tafe, and he is awesome.

ROSS STAGG IS THE GREATEST!!!!!!!!!!! Nuff said

  • Ross Stagg, alright!!! Let's not forget to celebrate the beautifully eccentric marriage of streetrock, strutting funk and SEX that is. . .STRAPPS FIRST ALBUM!!

  • What a treat to see this. Ross, you guys were brilliant and it was a travesty that you did not reach the heights of the other bands at the time. I bought Secret Damage in '78 when I was in Germany serving in the Army. Blew me away and still does. I like to think that in some parallel Earth, you guys achieved worldwide success and have just been inducted into the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame...

  • Ross Stagg teaches me at TAFE NSW, he's a great teacher, one of the best I've ever had, today we had a teacher's gig, and I tell you what guys, HE'S STILL GOT IT!!!

  • Hi Ross, Strapps were the first live band I saw. You opened for the Gillan Band at Middlesbrough Town Hall, I think it was 1976. My ears were hammered but it was a great experience.

  • Hi Unforgivingvoid I'm just arranging to buy a new 100 watt amp - so heavy I can hardly lift it but the sound whew! Thanks for your comments re the first 2 Strapps albums - were they ahead of there time? I keep getting more positive feedback these days than ever before -so come on some crazy multi-millionaire we'll reform and tour if we can cover our costs - we were a happening live act! Rock!

  • @rossstagg must be talking about your new Vox amp Ross are ya? :) you gotta show it to me soon! much love!

  • I'm Japanese your old fan

Are you real mr ROSS STAGG??

    If you are real Ross・・・

I'm very suprise and very happy!

    sorry I can't speaking

    Only speak japanese

    Very cheap english sorry~

  • ROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS STAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! he is my music teacher in nirimba campus tafe nsw! he is so cool! ;)

  • Fantastic stuff, I loved Strapps and bought the first two albums as soon as they came out (still have them and they are mint and treasured!) I understand there were a further two albums as mentioned by Dreamspiderkev, can anyone list the details and are they available anywhere?

I see the great man himself has posted so if your reading this Ross, many thanks for two awesome albums and what are you doing these days?

  • hey Ross, it's veronica from your c2 performance class at TAFE. You fuckin rock legend!!! loved the video, is there anymore videos to put on here??

  • 1977 oh yes what a great year for Hard Rock !!!.

Hey Ross an old Strapps fan here to say i still listen to Secret Damage, i love every track...Did you guys ever play in the States back then ??. A dream gig would have been Legs Diamond, Angel, with Strapps headlining !!!. Rock On & Keep It Heavy !!!!!

  • not the rose stage i knew and loved at the greyhound, fulham?

  • Oh my God who are you? You would be one of very few people on the planet who know about that 'poster faux par". Loved that gig! Are you Lee?

  • Nah! Lee ditched at Newbury watermill.

  • THE Ross Stagg?

Strapps, at last! This is brilliant! Love the Secret Damage album but never heard the 3rd and 4th releases. Keep 'em coming Ross.

  • Yes indeed I am THE Ross Stagg - Secret Damage was our best album by far - am going to try to sync sound for my favourite Strapps trk "Down to You" next - I think it was the best hard rock song i wrote in that period.

  • Indeed, Down To You is the best track and my favourite too. The album was bookended with two classics though......"Violent Love" is my second favourite track. I like the first LP too but feel it was let down by the production. Can't wait to see some more footage. I had heard that before the Rainbow CD was released, a DVD was in the offing. Is that still a possibility 'cos judging by the quality of the first post, it would be worth buying.

  • @rossstagg Hi Ross, remember seeing you guys at The Mighty B'ham Odeon way back when promoting Secret Damage, did you play support a couple of times? Anyway, enjoyed your music so it's good to find you on youtube. Best wishes to you all.

    BM

  • @rossstagg respect. rediscovered Strapps recently. Happy days... D

  • at last ! fantastic-- now to release all the albums!!

  • Hi witchwolfe

Glad ya like it - haven't gotten around to sound synching

any of the other tracks from that concert yet

  • Dang! Never thought I'd see this! I'm a big fan of Strapps, even though I never got to see you guys play. Used to listen to your albums over and over.

  • Wow! At last some REAL Strapps footage
