@gmonet46 I read an old Andy Williams interview recently in which he talks about how the vocal director on his show (George Wyle, I think) taught the Osmonds more modern and sophisticated arrangements in the Four Freshmen style. If you watch old clips of the boys on Andy's show in chronological order, you can hear how their vocal arrangements evolved and became more complex rather quickly.

@35diamondgirl That is wonderful to hear. The last original 4 Freshman died recently. They brought about a number of "spin-off" groups like the Kirby Stone Four and the Hi-Lo's. In any case the arrangements fro Willliams' show were superb, and thanks for the information.

The problem is, too many people of today can't enjoy music like this. It just sounds like Lawrence Welk to them, which I never understood the meaning of. Cause I've always liked Lawrence Welk.

I wish they would release a DVD or CD of all the songs they sang on the Andy Williams show. I prefer the DVD of course, with all the great dance numbers!!

I have gotten a chance to see a lot of them here on youtube, but they seem to have sooooo many more, that I am missing out on...
