This plug with the charger is the safest plug in production and it´s the new model implemented in brazil in the last two years. There is no way to have a shock with it... =)

this walkera radio is not the kind of radio i like, is like a 14mz, i dont like this radios, resistive screen is dangerous in my opinion, but looks of nice quality, buttons sounds good, nice radio any way

Tony: I read that this transmiter use DSSS technology , this mean that it use something equivalent to Spektrum DSM2 technology? if this is true then is not a true frecuency hoping like Futaba/Frsky or the new Spektrum DSMX , can you confirm or not is this is true?

I thought I saw some options for additional mixes in there somewhere but can't seem to find it again. I really doubt that there would be a 12-CHANNEL radio without the ability to do any custom mixing. There certainly aren't 8 additional switches on the thing...

@gooniac33 DSM2 is a Spektrum thing. I say the chances that this will work with the Spektrum Bind-n-Flys' is slim to none. The next question is: how much are those fancy Walkera receivers? Probably about 20% of the cost of the radio...:-P

This is a very nice radio. It looks as though Walkera will lead the pack with this offering.

By the way, DSC stands for Direct Servo Control. JR and Futaba have used this technology for many years in their high end radios. It allows you to hook directly into the aircraft via a direct connection so that you can make adjustments in the pits without transmitting. The futaba radio uses the receiver battery to power the transmitter so you don't have to turn the transmitter on.

Cool video and great looking transmitter, but ..... it REALLY needs custom mixing programmability to be of any use for more adventurous r/c model flying.

Am I right that even a simple delta mix currently isn't possible? It needs program mixes! The first thing I'd suggest Walkera to update.

What's the estimated price for this transmitter?

@PHeMoX Actually, it does come with 8 program mixes for the Devo 8. Not sure about the amount in the Devo 12, but I'm sure it has some additional mixes.

Also is the screen a capacitive type like the iPhone or resistive as in you have to press it?

Tony you just need to google "dBm to watts" and you will see that +20 dBm is 100mW of output power. dBm is standard units to measure RF level in electronics.

Also, should implement channel delay. So you dont have to buy a servo slow module for retracts. And EDF guys can emulate spool up with a slow throttle channel.

Im pretty sure all countries use 12 hour time. 24 is definitely used in aviation, so I believe its appropriate.
