Awesome video! I have a 13 month old and we are still going strong with breastfeeding. I am wanting to wean him at 24 months. We shall see how that goes. :) Hubby wanted me to wean him at 12 months but I told him 24! Do you nurse to sleep also?
hopefully your not like that mom on youtube who wanted her kids to self wean and thought it was fine. Her kids are now 8 years old and still breastfeed. My limit is when my son can ask me clearly for my boob. Lol
@mandjandc 2 years minimum as that is what's suggested. Children self wean 2-4 years of age. We'll cross that bridge when we get there. 13 months is far different than 8 years of age. :) Good Luck w/ your son :)
@sierrabreannnn it's a personal choice, we are just going to let him wean his self. Natural self weaning usually occurs between the ages of 2-4, they start to loose the ability to properly suck in order to draw hte breastmilk out of the breast, leaving them to think the milk is "gone".
@joelface Haha not corny :) Yes we did leave him intact. We debated it quite a bit when pregnant w/ him, wasn't sure what we wanted to do, what was right as my husband a man who is cut, as well as every single male in either of our families. When all was said & done, there was just no reason we could fathom to justify genital mutilation. I know that sounds harsh, to each their own, that is just how WE felt about it.
@xxxjoelpolexxx - that's such an awesome story!!! :D would you consider making a video explaining how you went from being unsure to realizing that you didn't need to do it... and how easy/difficult it's been as a new parent to care for it, etc.
A lot of new parents think if they don't do it it will be hard work, or they think they need to..
I think you have a great way with words, so you could really help people on the fence realize they don't need to do it.
@joelface Hard work? Seriously? haha Getting circumcised is MUCH harder work than being left in tact, at this point of a boy being one year old. There is nothing to care for w/ an intact child. You NEVER forcefully retract the skin, leave it a lone till it does on it's own, you clean the penis like you would any other. How ever w/ a baby who's been cut, you have blood, and usually waiting for something to fall off. :(

@justinecalgary Nap times he'll nurse through the entire nap, switching breast every 30 minutes or so, and he usually naps for 2 hours, twice a day. Other feeds depending on what he's nursing for, 5-20 minutes.

My Dean has that same shirt. I think its the "king Crad" one? I love crazy 8 but there stuff runs kinda big. The 3-6 month stuff wont fit my littile guy for a while.
@xxxjoelpolexxx My goodness! You co-sleep still right? If you do then you must never get a break from it...LOL...but it does go by so quick so even though I would get frustrated at times...I wouldnt want it any other way.
awh so my lil one is only gonna be a month old eh on monday and she always wants to get her hands in the way. she sometimes grabs my shirt..ALREADY! its cute but i hope she doesnt go nuts w like grabbin pokin and prodding me like some piece of meat lol

I haven't seen a video of yours in about a year. I'm pleased to see he looks big and healthy and full of energy.
I think it's really great that you're going to breast feed until he self-weans! :D I really think that's the most natural way to do things!
As well, I believe judging by your video tags, you chose to leave him intact. (not the point of this video, I realize) I just wanted to say: Hurray!
