Well guys, got in 2 jumps Sunday, first was a practice throwout and the second one I threw my own pilot 'chute. No freaking out this time.....going for 4 to 6 jumps in a couple of weeks. This chick I brought with me was TERRIFIED but now that she has seen it she wants to go. Go figure! :-)

Quake 120 is RIGHT! I have 3 tandems, 8 solo jumps. My last one was a "clear and pull" and I was so scared I had a full on out-of-body experience and saw myself pull out the pilot chute! Perfect jump though and I will do it again!

Doubt you actually have jumped considering you don't even know the appropriate jumping altitude. You'd freeze to death before you'd get even close to the ground at 40,000'. Also, there aren't many pressurized civilian aircraft that are capable of carrying jumpers and releasing them, which means they can't even go above 13,000' or so.

When i saw the door open, although i didnt yell "no no no" like the girl, i definately was thinking "no no no" But the second my feet left the plane, i felt at such peace. When you land on the ground, you are just so amazed that you just jumped from a plane.

I'm sure i've done stuff you would hesistate too do. Different people have different tolerances to what bothers them, if does not make you brave if you have no phobia of heights to do a sky dive. Go and do something extreme you fear and then call others names.

I have done 2 tandems now, first one I was nervous on the ground, but felt better in the plane (the adrenaline started to kick in!)

Second one I was stoked, but still a bit nervous!

"Without hesitation" doesn't mean ANYTHING because the instructor was jumping out FOR you. I guarantee on your first AFF jump when you are going to be with your own parachute, you will be shitting your pants.
