Y'know, Dunbar is falling away from popularity in the literature classroom. Poetry as brilliant as "The Party" should dissuade people from allowing that from happening, but, alas, it keeps happening. This video has just become part of my literature curriculum. Thank you! Nice reading with appropriate caesura and variety in vocalization, and it's not an easy poem to read. Excellent.

I have had the name Paul Laurence Dunbar in my head for years...I only remember it because the person who mentioned his name was utterly incredulous that I'd never heard of him. Today, for some reason i decided to look him up and yours is one of the first I have come across...what an introduction! Thank you!
