  • Thanks for doing this ... really great work. Song and your footage works superbly well. Thanks, again, for doing this.

  • hehehe before "The Cure"

  • Fantastic vid, great job. I love this song and The Clash. I lived on the Noth Peckham Estate for years and kow the Aylesbury and the Heygate estates you show. I also spent a lot of time in Brixton/Loughborough. My sister lived in the big block opposite the westway the next one along from The Clash. So this song means a lot to me and that vid really goes with it. Cheers

  • NIce one.

  • nice vid

  • so relevant with regards to the current unrest in London

You cant live in a home that should not have been built

by the bourgeois clerks who bear no guilt

  • well done video. very nice effort for a great song.

  • your video is great

it goes with the song very well

    cool post mate .

  • good job ....thanks!

  • Railton road is Brixton, I've lived a road down from there, the blocks are a mix of Camberwell, Stockwell, maybe Hackney n' Brixton by the looks of it :) The Effra pub is the local boozer

  • Great stuff, but can someone please post "The Equaliser"

  • They quote a verse from an obscure Phil Ochs song, "United Fruit" at the end:

    "Allianza dollars are spent

    To raise the towering buildings

For the weary bones of the workers

To go back in the morning

To be strong in the morning"

  • @notthebannerboys They changed it up a bit. The Ochs lyrics were:

    Allianza dollars are spent

    To raise the towering buildings

For the weary bones of the workers

So they will be strong in the morning

    to go back again.

And it is a bit strange that lyrics from such an obscure song landed here. Ochs has never been a household name, but even amongst his biggest fans, United Fruit isn't particularly well known.

  • Amazing video and Briliant band love the Clash i m Brazilian and sandinista is my favorite album love England !

  • Great job!

  • Great video

  • I Think, The Sandinista! is the best album of this band, actually, my FAVOURITE band. Sorry for my bad english, Im From Argentina but I love the Clash more than my mother haha. Im Serious...

  • jail houses courtesy of le fuckling corbusier and the usual greedy bastards :(

  • great song, and great images.. job well done. love this song, been replaying this all week.

  • Great song, and excellent job on the video. The scenes at 1:07 remind me of some of the interview footage of Mick Jones from "the Future is Unwritten".

  • I Love The Clash - This song is one representation of why.

  • es un enorme halago escuchar esta melodia de uno de los mejores grupos de toda la historia del rock and roll, gracias the clash , si la CANCION ES VALIENTE ES CANCION PARA SIEMPRE

  • I spent the 1st yr of my life in North Weezy.

Luck I was adopted by Americans and got The Gift of a better life. I have been back to visit family and count my Blessings I did

not grow up in an "Estate"

One of my Favorite Class Tunes

    BTW Nice Video

  • I can listen to the radio today, but it never moves me, I wonder if anyone can ever do what these and the Beatles done. Being real, raw men, making beuatiful music, to lubricate the world.

Theres music down here (not only up in heaven), but I say it's all in the past, and on discs.

By the way, great video you put together. Fits well with the music, real good job

  • Apart from the Beatles, I think the Clash were one of the 20th centuries greatest romances. Theirs' being a dirty, honest, meaningful romance, with truth and substance to their words. I f-ing love them.

I just wish there were some art like this around today, modern is bland and brain dead in comparison to these real live musical angels.

  • First, thank you !

Actually, I found the old footages on the Web, searching things coming from London and its estates. So, I don't know exactly where did the "Jesus Saves" come from but it's in London ! (maybe Brixton ?...)

  • @RottenAndVicious haha your youtube username is ill

  • I don't usually enjoy fan videos, but this is an exception. I like how you've spliced together old footage with what I assume is your own original material. My only question is, where did the "Jesus Saves" image come from? It looks to have been painted across the face of a barn, which I assume couldn't have been in London.

  • Thanks for the effort - a fantastic song and you have put together an excellent video

  • Thank you :)

  • Good job. My favorite of the Sandinista songs.
