Type R's vary in cost depending on which model you buy! in the UK the standard version is 17.6k, and the GT model which comes with air con, sat nav etc is 18.6k. I know because im looking at a brochure right now!

You're only partly right there. The GT does not come with Sat Nav...that is another optional extra, but its about 1500 quid or something stupid. The GT gets air con, cruise control, automatic lights and wipers, extra airbags amongst other things. I know...I've ordered mine!!!!

Depends on your definition of fast. 0-60 in 6.3 isn't that quick (in my book). The Quattro which is quicker does it in 5.5 which is fast but we're talking about the roadster. 6.3 is ALMOST average, you have to Ion Redline, Cobalt SS/SC, VW Gti etc with similar run times. I personally think anything in the 5 second range is considered quick.

Everytime I see someone driving one of these $40k Type-R in the street, I would laugh at them. Honda is not a luxury car for one and that price is way too expensive for an economy car. Second, it's not even that fast with 197hp. You're better off getting an Si and calling it a day. The same amount of power and you'd save more than $20,000.
