That last catch on 6:22 was AWESOME. It somehow got coaxed? out of its hole and the skindiver caught it...Like the way the sand and ink was all over the place and the diver was fighting the tako and finally he got his prize...one of the best tako vid catch i've seen.

tako is an infinite resource because they eat grow and only live for about 2 years so ther is no wiping out the tako species

Tako is not the name of Hawaiian Octopus... "Tako" is Japanese for Octopus.

a little gamey sometimes, but you got to boil it first and then do what you want. It makes it tender.

he dude, where i live, in barbados we call octopus "seacat", and we have some traditional dishes using them that go back from the slave days, so i was just wondering, how do you prepare them over there in hawaii?

I like it smoked, or boiled then deep fried with Cajun seasoning, hmmmmm goood!!

Actually I don't have the eye like some guys. As you can see, most of da Tako were already out of the hole. Impossible to miss.

hey where do you stab your tako cause i always bite behind the eyes but i dont have the techniqe down pat yet so sometimes it dont work but the knife looks like it does a good job can you tell me where you stick him at ??

Stab right between the eyes knife up and down. My jaw is dislocated so weak bite. I have to stab, it kills instant.
