In March 2010 I bought a horse I said i was gonna barrel race her and everyone but my mom and a man that had been teaching me almost everything I know, said a 15 year old would never be able to make that horse do anything. the part about Billy really hits me because a year before my graduation. i was in a crash. the car rolled and my legs got pinned under my seat. when the paramedics got me out i couldnt feel anything below my hips. the doctors told me i wouldnt get to walk across the stage if ever. i was determined enough and when they called my name on graduation day i was able to walk across the stage to receive my diaploma. it was the first time i had walked since the accident. i graduated in spring of 2010.
this song means so much to me. i listened to it almost every day after my dad passed away after a heart attack my sophomore year in high school. now every day of my senior year i'm reminded that the impossible happened. now i've learned, and i realize that my friends and family are the only thing i really need. thank you for this reminder.

When I was born, Drs told my parents I wouldn't survive the first 24 hours; after six months they told my parents I wouldn't survive my first year. They kept telling my parents I would die every year until my 5th birthday. When I started school they told my parents I would never graduate high school. I graduated in 2009 and I'm in college now. I'll be 20 in April. :)

When I reached my second birthday, the doctors told my mom I would never walk and talk. I was born three months premature and spent a year in the NICU. Now, 23 years after my early arrival into this world, I'm walking and talking.
