I'm not going to pull out my electrodynamics book because well... very evil math. My guess is you've found a unique way to transfer the mechanical energy (created when you spun the rotor) to the magnetic fields, which at some point reach saturation and begin to release energy back to the rotor (i.e vibrating magnet at the top at 1:09) causing acceleration. Try proving it spins longer with the three external magnets than without. You'll need to put it in a vacuum to remove viscous air friction.

Magnetic motors like this do, theoretically, work. And with no additional energy input. Theoretically free energy. Except magnets wear out over time, and making them isn't exactly free (the metal needs to be heated glowing hot and allowed to cool with a magnetic field flowing through it). The only way to get a 'permanent' magnet is to use an electromagnet, and that uses electricity (duh), so this would never result in perpetual or free energy.

If it were close to being real, one would only have to give it a very slight spin and the force of the magnets would accelerate it up to its balance speed. But since these devices simply can't work that explains why it was given such a hard spin at the start.

Beg or borrow one of those cheap hand held tachometers and you'll see the speed drops straight after starting.

I sugest the use of a software that simulates this project.

A good software is Algodoo, (i use it for myself).

With this software you may simulate gravity, magnets, lasers, etc.

When i see a REALLY creative idea, i test it in Algodoo and i see if it works, without having to spend any money buying parts.

Unhappily, most of the ideas about gravity/magnetic machines i test with Algodoo don't work.

I think that it is possible. Before you guys start in about perpetual motion, etc, I do not believe that it is over unity, or perpetual motion. Rather, the energy is being released from a yet unknown source.

if theres no anomaly here, then the efficiency of this motor is excellent. you need less energy input to run it, and output could be higher than the input, what about making a generator that uses gasoline only for startup then use electric motor prime mover to run it continously w/c is fed by its own generator. The power will be consumed by primemover will be less than the output of the generator because of magnets, then we can use the excess to powerup our appliances. Do I have A point here?

That noise sounded like a bearing ball cage going unstable. While the rotor certainly coasted for a good long time, I don't think it actually speeded up. If you put an optical tachometer on it you could show more conclusive results.

as far as I an see its this: like Guff316 said it is the magnet at the back tat is inducing a flux hange whic in turn is giving energy to the rotor. However, the flux change would have to be tuned to the same freuency as that of the rotor magnet flux change (about a stationary point ie the magnet at the back). e could not do this wit his finger BUT i believe there is a system (either motor or solenoid based) under and behind the base at the back that oscillates te magnet when he says "speed up"

The magnet at the back is being moved slightly with the finger. This is causing a slight change in magnetic field, similar to an electric motor. This gives it a bit of energy. With all the wonderful bearings in this, it would accelerate it quite easily. Watch the video very carefully!

Yes, they will do, since operation creates an alternating B-field (acts like degauss coil in an old CRT TV-set). Phase of opposing B-field increases with load. The heavier your load, the faster your magnets wear out.
