If the Jews wanted to kill Jesus, they would have stoned him. The priests were Roman appointed and Roman collaborators and it was their job to keep the peace. If Jesus had proved himself to be the great leader of prophecy, they would have banded behind him and the Romans would have been tossed out. If Jesus was God - God cannot die, therefore it cannot be called a sacrifice. If Jesus was a man, then sacrifice goes against God since human sacrifice was forbidden. The bible also states that every person must pay for his own sins.

There are some problems with that, dog. Check Matt. 27:15 "Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release for the people any one prisoner whom they wanted." The problem is that they DO read their bibles and ONLY their bibles. History contradicts the bible stories on many fronts. Because they take their bibles to be inerrant, they feel that they have the "truth" whereas all they really have is a book so badly doctored, edited, mistranslated and misinterpreted that it is almost worthless in terms of relying any history.

Absolutely, the bible is an inerrant history book too. Physics has a bit to say about it too. At 450 feet in length, the ark was outside of natural limits for a wooden boat and would have leaked and sank within a couple of months. As far as the red sea, picture the sea being parted for long enough to allow 140,000 people to pass through, walking through the mud.

The Louisiana was 350 feet long, 100 feet shorter than the ark (taken from measurements given in the bible).

By the way, in order for the waters to have reached the height of Mt. Ararat for the ark to rest, the rain would have had to come down at 15 feet an hour, enough to know a B52 bomber out of the sky but somehow, the ark made it. Another miracle?

If the Jews wanted to kill Jesus, they would have stoned him. The priests were Roman appointed and Roman collaborators and it was their job to keep the peace. If Jesus had proved himself to be the great leader of prophecy, they would have banded behind him and the Romans would have been tossed out. By killing him before he proved himself, the threat to them was removed.

Deuteronomy is quite clear that one person cannot atone for the sins of another. God states that he abhors human sacrifice and uses the example of the pagans who do just that. If Jesus was God - God cannot die, therefore it cannot be called a sacrifice. If Jesus was a man, then sacrifice goes against God since human sacrifice was forbidden. The bible also states that every person must pay for his own sins.

@aviyahu01 The Jews may not have assimilated to Romanism but they did have to abide to Roman law. The incident at the Temple really is what sealed Christs fate. Jesus was protesting against what was happening in Gods house. He was ultimately crucified for that reason for not following Roman. You could also say Christ protesting against Judaism.

Christ ultimately was killed because he broke Roman law with the incident at the temple. Christ was protesting against Judasim conforming to Roman law. A few Jew Professors tried to absolve the Jewish people of responsible, but in the end they were unable. The Gospel spell in out in black and white, and for the record, yes I know when they written, I know about Q and I know some were written in Greek. Despite that they ALL accord the responsibility for Christ's death to the Jews. It was Paul who changed most things.

However the fact that Dec. 25 is not the date of Jesus' birthday changes nothing about its significance. As a Muslim Jesus(pbuh) was never killed. God raised him before they got to him. God replaced him with someone and made it look to them as Jesus(pbuh). The reason some "Christians" believe the Romans killed Jesus is simple..... they don't read their Bible. It's like saying " the Jury isn't responsible for the innocent man being put in the electric chair, the guard that pulled the switch is." The jury condemned the innocent inmate to death, and the Bible stats very cleary that the Jews were the Jury in the case of Jesus. Their edited bible states clearly that Jesus was crucified. Crucifixion was not a Jewish punishment. Stoning was. Crucifixion was a favored method for execution by Romans for a period of 700 years and during the time of Jesus, the Romans only became involved in cases of sedition or treason. Jesus was not a Roman so that leaves only sedition.

There are some problems with that, dog. Check Matt. 27:15 "Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release for the people any one prisoner whom they wanted." History shows that there was never such a custom practiced either by the Romans, nor the Jews just as the dead saints didn't go marching into Jerusalem at the time of Jesus crucifixion.

@FUCKyouANDyourDOG 2) The second problem is that historical writings show that Pilate hated Jerusalem and made only one know trip there and that was in connection with an aquaduct scanal where he had misused money and there was a rebellion by the people. Thirdly, his camp was 120 miles away from Jerusalem and there wasn't enough time for messengers to notify him and for him (and his wife) to be back in time for a trial the next day.

The law stated that town criers had to go out for 40 days to announce the trial, giving witnesses on behalf of the accused to appear. Trials were never held outside of the court building (like at the high priest's house) and never at night. Too many holes, dog.

The problem is that they DO read their bibles and ONLY their bibles. History contradicts the bible stories on many fronts. Because they take their bibles to be inerrant, they feel that they have the "truth" whereas all they really have is a book so badly doctored, edited, mistranslated and misinterpreted that it is almost worthless in terms of relying any history.

Absolutely, the bible is an inerrant history book too. Physics has a bit to say about it too. At 450 feet in length, the ark was outside of natural limits for a wooden boat and would have leaked and sank within a couple of months. As far as the red sea, picture the sea being parted for long enough to allow 140,000 people to pass through, walking through the mud.

After that, with movement of the water, the joints are dislodged by the constant movement of the water and the vessel starts to leak, hold water, and sink, even if buttressed with steel as the largest US wooden ship, the Louisiana was. The Louisiana was 350 feet long, 100 feet shorter than the ark (taken from measurements given in the bible).

There are many more problems associated with the story and I am of the opinion that those who keep on believing it are simply afraid not to for fear of losing that golden carrot of eternal life.

By the way, in order for the waters to have reached the height of Mt. Ararat for the ark to rest, the rain would have had to come down at 15 feet an hour, enough to know a B52 bomber out of the sky but somehow, the ark made it. Another miracle?

and what mt. ararat? mt ararat in eastern turkey was named *after* the biblical story in the 8th century CE. while the bible actually refers to the mountains of urartu. in all other sources the mountain of descent is mount judi.
