this was the most terrible video i have ever seen. The guy clearly has no idea, doesn't mention size, wheel base, or even shape. All trucks are definitely not the same, they all turn heaps different they don't just weigh different amounts. Also your not just paying for the name of a board. ummmmm, obviously you know nothing about skateboards(the guy in this video) skateboards have hue differences! such as pop concabe and width and way more. Trucks are nothing alike! some trucks weigh more so that you can grind wayyyyyy easier it doesn't have anything too do with the kingpins. and if u spend 10$ on barrings they are shitty walmart ones reds barrings retail for about 25$ and they are like the best on the market, also he is prob reading a script cause he studders like a bitch.

Expert Villiage, get some skateboarders to explain things properly, rather than retards who say that just about everything is the same. Wrong. The difference in trucks weights that you mentioned are a big factor. Decks? Your not just paying for a brand you're paying for a width amoung other things, my board is 8 inches across, which is fairly wide, riding a board even half and inch thinner feels completely different. Wheels can be hard or soft too. If you're going to do something, do it right.

Yes, I completely agree that size and weight do matter. I had a very heavy and relatively suckish hand-me-down deck, that I could ride quite well. Then for my birthday my dad decided to get me a skateboard, its (obviously) brand new, light, and I am not quite yet used to it. Its shaped different and everything.

Repsonse to your comment: There is also how tight you want your trucks, some people like them loose so they can turn easy. I like them tight so I don't wobble as much. W/e you want.

EVERYTHING is better with certain brands. Blanks are poorly constructed from what I have used. And truck brands are definitely different. If you get crappy trucks they are going to be heavy and hard to maneuver.
