What kind of amp are you using, and what effects, if any?

I have a Kustom 65W amp which I got really cheap off a part-time job. For effects I just use Boss MT-2 Metal Zone

Okei~ Cool.

The reasons I asked is that during the chorus (if that's what it is--I'm a little weak on musical recognition atm) the sound of your guitar is really low and heavy. Even with the overdrive and a down-tuning, my guitar doesnt do that... XD

Oh well, that's what I get for sticking to a starter set.

Overdrive isn't going to get you that low, growling sound typical to this kind of metal. Also, you'll need a bigger amp than what you get in a starter set usually, to get better bass and presence. And I think my amp has bad presence =P

Aw~ Lucky.

I wanted to get an F-250 since I couldnt get a copy of the E-jf-x or the Jeune Fille Blanche (pretty much the same guitars, just that the Blanche has two pickups, and it's an older model, not from Edwards) but both are ridiculously expensive...

...and the F-250 is still out of my range. T^T

at least, until I get a job...

So my only choice is the F-50 (trash compared to the 250)..

hmm that's a good idea, I once did a throughout tab of all the instruments in dead tree, but it vanished when my hd broke down. Wouldn't be a problem, and it'd actually be a good opportunity to show out my new camera =P

Most all covers I see on youtube are pretty good (aside from MdM's Unmoved...lotsa crappy covers, but a few good ones..), but all of their cameras have bad audio. D:

Hm.. now that I think about it though, if you're stuck on what to do a cover on, I have plenty of good suggestions; maybe even a few people havent really done. =p

hmm... Ur using a F series or Forest (I can't tell). Are those any good? I personally like the shape (unlike everyone else), but is the sound good? Also, is it difficult/painful to sit down with it?

Yeah, it's a F-250. Really comfortable to play with, standing or sitting, and the passive EMG pickups give a very good tone, it's a pity that I have a garbage-class camera.

Mm, I just take the strings one step down from E tune and the lowest string to drop from that, that's two steps
