@sephiroththeman It was just in case he switched to something that resisted fire blast. and also, he had the occa berry, so it wouldnt have killed metagross in the first place. Plus fire blast can miss.

GG Rik. I think you played zeus198, if I'm not mistaken(only guy I know whose in-game name is ZAT). I personally like a mix of OU and UU. Ubers would be cool, but I think everyone just kinda stays away from that "tier".

I have tons of boxes full of Pokemon, I take a few walls, type coverage synergy Pokemon, some sweepers, and call it a team. Use it about 5 times and repeat.

Although when I make competitive teams I spend a month perfecting it usually.

I don't pokesav, I make legit, non cheated painstakingly bread and trained pokemon. So I don't make many teams because of the time involved.

@devilmaycryagency Regardless of what most people like to say, It's tampering and cheating. I'll pass. If I can't play the game without doing that then I simply wont play. There is little to no satisfaction in winning with a team I created using some stupid computer program.

it's just being smart as far as this situation is concerned,

because it's not really cheating if you come up with a legit team,

all you do is save countless hours of grinding and breeding,

it would definately be cheating if you make a team like spiritomb with wonder guard or a lucario with 999 on every stat to get cheap victories, but heck we all look at things differently, if you have too much honor as to not taking a shortcut then that's you man and i respect it

@devilmaycryagency And I do too. I used to breed my own stuff back in the day as well, and being the perfectionist that I am, it often took ages to get the right IVs on the right poke and whatnot. I know what it's like to breed, and I respect everyone who still take their time and do so.

@devilmaycryagency It IS Cheating because you are not playing the game the way as it is meant to be played. It's using an outside program to modify your game file. A team of designers and programmers spent a lot of time developing the game and perfecting the system. Yes it saves time and yes its fair if someone does not use illegal moves or stats, but what's fair is not the same as what's cheating.

it would definitely be pointless to cheat your way through the main game which is pretty satisfying to do it as intended and which i value the most

As for how I make teams, I usually choose six Pokémon that go well together. Sometimes I might be trying out a team, so I will use the same team in a string of battles.

I especially like everything except OU...It's just too predictable. There aren't enough pokes in 4th gen. I make a new team every so often. I only play on Shoddy though. I don't have the patience to EV train. I mean, I like trying new pokes. I don't want to use the same guys constantly. Of course, I have a favorite team. It works better, and has some good pokes, like my expert belt Zangoose and swift swim Gorebyss. I love them so much!
