Alright, I'm tired of reading comments on these videos where people argue over wtf Grindcore is. To explain it's a fusion of both punk and metal (usually sticking with the more extreme fields of both) and it does not cater to one side more than the other as a whole (meaning the genre as a whole). It is always dependant on the band as to where it lines up with more. It also tends to have some sort of industrial or noise music influences as well but again this is all dependent on the band.

Not too hard to get around, Hull may use a 7 string guitar but it's tuned to A# - at least for Prowler's material.

It's playable on a 6 string, you just need pretty thick strings so the drop-tuned guitar doesn't sound like arse.

I honestly cannot see how that is metal, the riffs and vocals are very punk and the drumming is so-so on the punk level. Pig Destroyer is simply one the metal side of grind core. Just as Napalm Death plays a death metal trimmed version of grind in early releases.
