I am under the impression that Hamel used aluminum cones. It looks like you are using 26 gauge galvanized sheet metal - which of course has different magnetic properties.

All in all, it looks great, though. A lot of good work in here. Please keep it up.

i'm just gonna guess at this but i'm guessing that it is some kind of engine or propulsion system for a small space craft, using this to replace the rockets is what i'm guessing.. kinda basic i guess.. i mean compared to what i see in my dreams it is.. what i see in my dreams is a bit bigger, and gives off a possible worm or black hole to transport the craft across the universe.. i have no idea how i know this stuff, all i know is i went sleep one night and woke up with the designs

Great work. Don't give up. And watch out for the real men in black! I don't think the top compression magnet will cause rotation. It was an unequal magnetic field at a certain RATIO. You have two equal magnets on top. Just a thought.

If thats the case then you need to look up George Green. ( if you haven't already) and he can shine a light onto what you do, or do not know. And maybe it can help you get the "ball" rolling! :)

Its taken a great deal of time, energy, work, and patience to create this device. I have had to spend a lot of time measuring things out perfectly, so that everything fits together perfectly. :-)

@BellaItaliano2009, Are you suggesting the magnetic field from that magnet at the top is reaching out far enough to attract all three cones? It's not. Plus, the two magnets at the top are in repulsion, not attraction. I've built these three cone devices and getting them to stand on top of each other in such a straight line is very hard.

@Belloltaliano2009, Place a magnet on a table with north facing up and try and balance another magnet above it, with north facing down but not touching. It's next to impossible. Now glue a bunch of magnets to a cone rim. Then glue a bunch of magnets to the support ring. Have the cone magnets repel the ring magnets. Balance them so the ring stays centered. Not easy. Sit the bottom of that cone in another cone and that one in another. The bottom cone is also on a movable platform. (continued)

(continued) With some work you can do it but it'll take a lot more work to make it all line up as straight as this video. Get some magnets and play around. They're very slippery beasts.
