  • Our choice was taken away from us. Is there a sign for that? I got one.

  • @RuniScience I was commenting to someone else not to you. I didn't say anything about the sign language guy it doesn't bother me.

  • fucking bullshit doco, we never even landed on the moon, what fucking bullshit

  • The man standing is annoying, better to chance videos

  • These videos would 4738473434873487348 times less annoying if there wasn't a guy occupying 1/4 of the screen with his arms flailing around.

  • Considering that fewer than 1% of people are deaf, and far fewer % of deaf people would even be on YouTube (unless they somehow knew this vid existed), then we have to suffer this distraction for political correctness. Subtitles would be cool, and FAR less distracting for 99.9% of people viewing this vid. No disrespect intended, its just common sense...

  • That dude is gravitating in front of the screen :O

  • Alright, the sign language thing is no biggy but there's something a little strange about the host... is he trying to flurt with the audience? I wonder what this dude would sound like in prison... like when bubba's violating him, asking him to talk about the universe because that turns him on. Bubba: "now talk about the hole... and the milky way."

host: "yes, it has a tremendous force of gravity, and there are many in the universe"

Bubba: "tell me more, I think i'm about to go supernova"

  • @1988AVH British sign language is not like English, it is another language - I've learnt it for 2 years so I know what I'm talking about. If a deaf person uses BSL then it doesn't necessarily mean they can understand English. Usually if a person is born deaf they learn BSL. If a person loses their hearing later in life, which is something i sincerely hope doesn't happen to you, then they may not learn BSL, and use subtitles and lipreading to understand English.

  • I don't understand why subtitles were not simply used? Is this a joke?

  • @AnduinX >> OH GOD NOT ANOTHER ONE

  • @RuniScience maybe put something in the title that indicates this is for DEAF PEOPLE.

  • @AnduinX Some deaf people use sign language, which is their first language, and its different than English. Some deaf people prefer BSL, some prefer subtitles. Why shouldn't deaf people be able to watch and enjoy this amazing programme too?

  • @TheLadySomerset Gosh, luckily I have my hearing ... but finally SOMEONE who does not slag this for its completerness...

  • @TheLadySomerset > Its bizzarre ... Some people might give-up, but this upload with sign language (I only have two) only strengthens my resolve to post more... Next time I'l post a video for the blind...

  • @TheLadySomerset: Alright, I can understand if it's a preference thing. I can see that some people may prefer to watch sign language rather than read. I would suggest adding 'sign language' to the title of this video though. So those who want to watch the original can avoid the distraction and so those who actually want to watch the sign language version can more easily find it.

  • @TheLadySomerset Because subtitles are less anoying.

  • @AnduinX BBC programmes after midnight normally have this. If you don't like it, watch it before midnight

  • Lol that translator is distracting

  • The translator is really annoying, wouldn't subtitles be enough ?

  • I now hate all deaf people. I'm going to beat a deaf bitch until he hears himself cry.

  • @ssknight7 You Chose the wrong day to confront me ... yes, you're deaf and more than you belierve ... BYE (You need sign language?) ...

  • I don't understand BRITISH SIGN LANGUAGE!

  • @Coffeeisnecessary i dont understand british english :DDDDD

  • could do without the guy in black doing his thing, there are systems for the deaf in 2911

  • @ponkey32 ... "Systems for the deaf in 2911 ?" ... You must be joking... I guess you mean that the whole of Humanity will be institutionalized... Well beats being extinct (I guess...) ... Cheers

  • Ah the richness of knowledge and profound insight that can be found in youtube comments.

  • @nikanj No idea how ironic/sarcastic this is meant, but if U know your subject I've questions that I've accumulated over my life time .'1) if the Universe is ever expanding from some microscopic form, what then is it expanding into ? 2) If we look into the begginning of time itself, most telescopes are looking out into deep space, right ? How come? I mean sholdn't the beginning of our Universe be centered to some small area wherever all began? How come???, thats two questions .

  • @RuniScience Well, if the universe is expanding (space itself is expanding) then looking out where-ever is examining the same thing that was once the small thing: anywhere one is looking in everywhere, that was once that small form, and you are examining it by looking at any given thing.

  • @RuniScience The big bang happened at a point, but back then the universe WAS a point, therefore the big bang happened everywhere in the universe. Beyond the universe we assume to be nothing, but if there was, it wouldn't be part of the universe. Problem is that one definition of universe is 'all that exists', so according to this particular definition there can be nothing beyond it.

  • @RuniScience Your questions is an opportunity to watch all the documentary series here about the Universe. One of the best is History channel;s "The Universe", almost all episodes were here, and fortunately I watched them before YT started to delete some. But many were also re-uploaded :) So, make your personal schedule to watch the series (I suggest 3 episodes per every cold winter night) :) Be prepared with coffee, pipe, skandinavik tobacco and relax to the world of knowledge and wisdom :)

  • @hrbear > 3 Episodes per "cold Winter Night" ? Here in Berlin I should be done in no time ... ;-) Cheers, will follow-up ... Myself in Molecular Biology & so much happening, that my spare-time has suddenly shrunk to a pre-Big Bang Situation ... the pipe is a good idea though ... Runi

  • @RuniScience Well yeah, but did Marx lead a country? Nope.

Communism is the only proven case of dictatorship with atheism.

Nazi Germany wasn't lead without god.

And no, theology and physics can be combined but not with any know diety since they're all a bunch of bullshit. I'm not saying anything against the existance of a non-known god, i'm just talking about the muslim, christian, pagan, jewish, thelemic, satanic, Hinduistic etc. Gods.

There can't be a god that's known by man.

  • @dadov > Actually Nazi Germany was very involved in Theology (a sort of pagan Celtic revival effort...) ... not that I excuse the darker aspects of what really happened there ... Marx is another story altogether (See my series on "Berlin History - Matt Frei Culture Documentary - Dangerous Ideas") ... I think we agree on more than that which we disagree, except maybe the last "There can't be a god that's known by man" - If this is so, then the existense of God defeats its own purpose...Thanks

  • @dadov I 100% agree

Science makes no statement about the existence of god(s), but these ancient scriptures are so insane...perhaps there is a god, but probably not that insane and mean as I had to learn up from sunday school...what a waste of life time!

  • Ignorant atheists, this knowledge is innate. Brainwashed zombies

  • @unknown0310 are you calling non-religious people "Brainwashed zombies"?

    What a fucking joke xD

  • @dadov another victim.. you are brainwashed as well just like 99% of the population

but of course you haven't a clue what i am saying because your brainwashed

your the only fucking joke here wake up you sodomized sheep

  • @unknown0310 99% of what population's atheist? Sounds like a great place.

It's funny how religious people always are the biggest assholes.

    "Sodomized sheep", lol.

  • @dadov We tried states that where completely Atheist. It never turned out well since the role of God always seems to be replaced by the State or a Charismatic Leader in peoples lives. Ex. Soviet Union, China, etc. So the idea that all these problems you hate about religion will disappear is kinda false, they just evolve into something even worse in a society that has no God/Gods. In a Democracy there's freedom of religion so it's impossible to completely dissipate in that system also. IMHO.

  • @363Magi Tell me one state that was based on the existance of no god?

Give me an example of a state that denied the existance of god.

god doesn't make people better, It's just a good way to control idiots.

  • Brian, we live in an Electric Universe, not a gravitational universe. Black Holes, gravity waves, dark matter, dark energy and all this other conjured up stuff do not exist. We need to stop wasting money searching for new particles and forces invented by mathematicians. A good measure of a theory is its ability to predict the outcome of new observations or explain them without introducing additional tailor-made concepts.

  • @vlatin1 Um.... Gravity does exist. Gravitational waves have been proven, and are used regularly, at labs like LIGO to observe distant events. Dark matter can be detected through gravitational lensing, among other things. Yes, the electrical constant is much greater than the gravitational constant, but to deny gravity is not doing the universe justice.

  • @nhmllr725 Of course gravity exists. But gravity, which is the weakest force in the universe, is not responsible for forming and shaping the galaxies, stars and planets. What drives and shapes everything in the universe is electricity and not gravity. Take a look at the standard sun model. Our sun is not a self-consuming, hydrogen fuelled thermonuclear engine. The Sun is a ball of plasma.

  • @vlatin1 Just because the gravitational constant is weak does not mean it is unimportant. The reason that universal structures are so big is because of gravity's "weakness," there needs to be lots of mass in order for it to really matter. However, without gravity, stars couldn't form, it's the gravity that hold it together. Planets wouldn't be collected from smaller fragments of matter. Without these things, life as we know it could not arise.

  • @nhmllr725 Furthermore, are you suggesting we stunt scientific progress? Mathematics has a huge history of predicting physical phenomena! Dirac's equation predicted anti matter before anyone every observed it, and sure enough it exists! Einstein's general theory of relativity predicted gravity waves too! On a smaller scale, Newton's equations predicted that the earth wasn't perfectly spherical due to the centripetal force of it's spin before that was observed.

  • @nhmllr725 I don't understand what you're trying to get at here. We're on the cutting edge of scientific progress. You seem to be denying gravity of its importance-for whatever reason (all of the four known forces are important) and you're suggesting that we don't build expensive labs, like at CERN, just because you're asserting that it's not important?

  • @nhmllr725 > Hear hear ... I agree

  • @nhmllr725 You are misunderstanding me. I agree that Gravity plays an important role in the universe. But gravity along with the nuclear forces are manifestations of electro-magnetism. They will not find what they are looking for at LHC, which is the existence of a particle that only has mass and no other characteristics, such as charge. All normal matter is composed of electric charges that respond to electromagnetic influences. Quantum theory will never be compatible with gravity theory.

  • @nhmllr725 I am not suggesting we stunt scientific progress. But we are not on the right track. We need to start with the assumption that gravity has something to do with electro-magnetism. Look at the similarities. The electrical and gravitational forces both diminish, with the inverse square of the distance. They are both proportional to the product of the interacting masses or charges and both forces act along the line between them.

  • @vlatin1 It turns out to be more complicated than what you are suggesting (don't forget that both gravitational and electromagnetic waves both travel at the speed of light), as Einstein _did_ try to unify them with those pieces of information. He failed, though, because you'd be ignoring the two other very important forces. These things are HARD. Very few people really understand it. All you've really done is make a bunch of assertions that you're right and haven't demonstrated it.

  • @nhmllr725 If its answers you are looking for, then you should research the Electric Universe theory. A good resource is found at the holoscience web site

  • @vlatin1

string theory and all these other theories that attempt to conflate the contradictions of physics and the natural universe are just that: attempts. I would argue that such said attempts are a sort of religious will to "truth." Which is to say, it's not going to happen. Paradoxes, complexities, ambiguity, and so on are multivalent by nature. There is no "origin"...

  • search simasher for a version of this without the guy

  • Rename this shit to What on Earth is Wrong with This Guy 1 of 5

  • ya tell this guy to take a fucking walk .if i had a paint ball gun and i could shot him from my monitior i would ..lol lol

  • When they figure out the cause of MASS they will find the key to knowing what gravity is. As with Galileo’s, Newton’s, and Einstein’s concept, the key is MOTION and just what it is that is moving!
