  • what did use for a bell housing and clutch, very nice btw.

  • How many hp are these I'm looking at putting 1 in a 58 mercury m100.also how much rpm do the run

  • @SANTACRUZDRIVER8 It's about 47 H.P. normally aspirated, I'm going to turbocharge it, not sure how much H.P I will end up once turbocharged. They turn 2800 RPM and that's about all you can safely get run them at.

  • The truck has the GM 5 speed trans adapted to the Kubota and a 3.73 rear end. Not sure if the 3.73 is going to work yet.

  • What tranny and grear ratios?

  • @91yotapick Running 3.73 rear gear and .83 final drive in the 5 speed trans.

  • I put a V2203-DI in my 88 Ford Ranger base model truck, (no options). I used the newer direct injection version engine for best fuel economy, and easy starting. It's kind of underpowered, but consistantly gets 44 miles per gallon. Had to use taller rear end gears for best economy. If anyone else wants to do a Ranger, I can provide some helpful info.

  • Megawireman, do have any pics or video of your truck you can put up? I have one of the DI engines but choose to try the ID first, I have a turbo I'm gonna try also. What gear and trans are you running? Power wise, Is your truck acceptable running down the interstate?
