  • Hello,

I just recieved my locos today. They run great and sound great. Did you have any issues with the bodies vibrating? Mine do and I have to find a way to correct it to clean up the sond. Love the layout!

  • Not too enthused about the toy like wide opening in the front pilot. But overall they seem to perform very well.

  • @BlackWolfessUSCM The locos come with covers if you want to remove the coupler and close up the openings.

  • Any documentation that the Broadway ever ran an A-B-B-A E8/E7 power consist? I have an A-B-A consist myself, and the research I've done indicates that they'd normally run A-A, but would expand for longer consists to one E7-B unit. But if you have info to the contrary, I'd be interested.

    BTW...nice train!

  • Sound is pretty dynamic. The bell sounds like the brass types often found used on EMD locomotives up until the 1980s. What is the horn sound scheme? Is it a Nathan M3?

  • Very nice!

  • Very nice how big is your layout?

  • @ewsdneax61eaxe10 Not very big. Essentially a table-top design about 17x12ft. Wish I could do larger, and a walk-around design, but I'm sharing space in a finished basement. The table-top design, while not the best, afforded fairly broad curves in a small space. My minimum radius is 40".

  • sounds nice. are all 4 units powerd and with sound?

  • @2005GLI Yes, they are all powered with sound. The bell is turned off on all but the lead unit, but I leave the horns active on all units. Makes a nice, rich blast when activated.
