@Mrmohdsajjadashraf well... in ice hockey, the game is much more fluid and fast, here in field hockey it seems like it is filled with long passes that just end in the other team taking control of the ball. a lot of standing around with the ball here also. in ice hockey, u have maybe 2 seconds to make a decision before someone is trying to take the puck away.

@lampliter25 Yes, you can say ice hockey is much faster. The rink is smaller and they are skating on ice... but more fluid? I disagree on that. Much of the time I watch ice hockey they are just body checking each other, getting the puck, going to the other half, missing the net, than the other team turns over etc.

@TheYvdW by fluid i mean the puck and players are constantly in motion, either skating with the puck or passing it while moving. body checking increases the speed of the game, otherwise it would just be a bunch of people standing around like in this video. i did not see once in this game where there were more than 2 passes while people were moving, or anybody who got the ball and created offense by themselves. search; canada vs usa junior Jan 05, for great ice hockey.

Good onya from Australia .. Field hockey is actually very friendly, a fast game, needing extreme fitness, and is a very international game. Not many games are as widely distributed, Soccer is widest played; but hockey less prone to faking penalties = more truthful outcome. While Australia has 'tyranny of distance' in Southern hemisphere (e.g. can't interact like Europe) we are still current Kings of field game. Great players need great opponents. : -) keep smiling. Amen 2.
