She does or doesn't, depending on certain things done in the game... In the regular ending she doesn't, the good ending she does, and the perfect ending, which requires 100% completion of the game, she finds him and the fayth also confirm that he's now real and there to stay.

Nope. Short haired girl is Yuna. Her outfit gives her memories of a famous singer/summoner who was sent to war. Singer's lover made a gun to kill people so they won't send off Singer. Yuna's lover Tidus looks exactly like Singer's lover. In the end of FFX, Tidus goes into Farplain(land of dead with the lights). In FFX2, Yuna finds a recording of Singer's lover and thinks it's Tidus and tries to find him. Yuna goes into the Farplane and Singer's lover thinks Yuna is Singer.
