gladys had a very big hit "midnight train to georgia" in early 70's. that song was written by country songwriter jim weatherly,who wrote quite a few hits for country artists also.

OMG!!! I haven't seen this video in years. I would say over 10 years. This was one of my favorite songs from Rhythm Country and Blues albums along with Patches.

WOW, what a blend of voices.

Plus, that incredible lead guitar, that is him playing there also. His chops are unmistakeble when you hear him on an album. They say he has played on over 300 albums just picking away. Often you see him in the background, uncredited, playing in music videos.
