Taiwan could become the next Philipine pretty soon if not united with motherland China. Philipine was the 2nd wealthest nation in Asia in the 50's and 60's, then all downhill.
i certainly don't think reuniting now would make anything better. it's not good for Taiwan, and not good for Mainland also. we can work together in the future and close the gap and the uncertainties which had been there since the Japanese occupied era, but uniting now is a no no....only will make things worse.

满族与汉族同化，是自愿行为。而且满汉之今无矛盾，也无太大差异，满汉通婚到处都是，请一些"民主"人士误挑拨！
