  • was there one that let you play 3 in one system bombo

  • this guy needs to SHAVE his eyebrows

  • SHOULD i get this or the FC 3?

  • @alberto4991 retron 3

  • uhhh well...HOW BOUT WE SEE HOW THE GAMES PLAY!!!! kinda left that part out

  • now you have to point down

  • I Have to Get one of those! I had a NES and Genesis. THEY BOTH BROKE AFTER LIKE 3 MONTHS!

  • i bought 1 that looks basically brand new and it won't cooperate when hooking it up (i got it with the ac adapter as seen in this vid, and those composite cables) what should i do?

  • Like I said to the person shopping the GEN X console, I find it curious that you don't demonstrate that the 16-bit & 8-bit games ACTUALLY WORK in this GEN Twin console.

These 2-in-1 consoles are not endorsed by Sega nor Nintendo. They are lightweight, which means cheaper materials for the components & from listening to the reviews of both systems, I suspect that one part will play fine and the other will be problematic. Afterall, you did not show us the games working. It's just you talking

  • can u put a super nintendo games in it???

  • does gn twin have blast processing?

  • I am very unsatisfied with all the reviews I have seen about the NES/GEN combo systems out there. Most of them have their own custom controllers, and you cannot use the original and official Genesis controllers. Also, the button mapping on these controllers are awkward for NES play. I am however impressed with the reviews I see for the NES/SNES combo systems. I will buy one of those. Also, SEGA has recently released an official classic Genesis clone system. Maybe i'll get one of those.

  • Also, the FC3(NES/SNES/GEN) has the same unsatisfactory feel. they use the same type of custom controllers, and the button mapping just does not work well. It's really bad for SNES more than it is for NES. You also CANNOT use original Genesis controllers on it. As I said, I will either buy the re-released genesis clone(licensed by SEGA), or an original Genesis console. Having 3 systems in one if really not all it's cut to be, if 2 of the systems cloned work badly.

  • it plays the Japanese Mega Drive games right? by using the O/J switch..

  • i lost my power supply, where could a get a replacement one?

  • also the d pad broke off of one of my controllers so be careful of that since you only get two

  • 2 controllers? im planning on buying this, and looking at this analysis of the system, damn!

    thats nice

lol, first time i heard a system called sexy

  • Should bought the GenX :-P

  • I just bought a GN Twin yesterday and I tried a few Genesis games in it. I was surprised that the Genesis games do not fit like they should and are wobbly when I move the system around. Is this what it is supposed to do or is there something wrong with the system itself?

  • I have two Game X Change stores near me.

  • Yes you can.

  • you can see these on eBay for 44.00 i swear

  • Hey, is there going to be a playtest of this thing? I'd like to see it work with Virtua Racing.

  • Nes and Genesis are over a certain age which means the patent is out i do believe.

  • does this work with Genesis original controllers

  • yes

  • videogamecentral will you do a Review & Setup for GN Twin?

  • We sell these in the retro store i work in.

  • does this thing play euro nes games? does it support euro snes controllers?

  • it might play euro games, but it will not support any snes or nes controller, because it uses a genesis controller hookup.

  • How is the compatibility for this one compared to the GenX or the Retro Duo?

  • why is it nes and genesis instead of snes and genesis?

  • I found some that play nes, snes, and genesis.

  • yeah you're talking about the newly released FC3. Much better deal except with compatibility compared to the Retro Duo.

  • I went with the FC Twin because I wanted to be able to use the Super NES controller.

  • Yeah thats another drawback from the FC3 if they had standard SNES ports and standards Genesis and NES ports it would be the best one out. And if it worked with C3 and some other games that are hard to work with.

  • Here's a tidbit of information for you: while the system has Genesis-style 9-pin plugs, they're nothing but modifed (Super) NES controllers. If you were to modify an NES or Super NES controller to work on the GN Twin, Gen-X and FC3 Plus by either making a (Super) NES 7-pin to Gen-X/GN Twin/FC3 Plus 9-pin converter cable, or by replacing the 7-pin plug on a (Super) NES controller by a 9-pin plug(the DB9 variety, like on computers), you'd be able to use them on the 3 units.

  • Also, Genesis accessories can only be used on the GN Twin and Gen-X, but it requires dismantling of the console and soldering wires. This will mean either:

-the addition of 2 extra controller ports

    -the addition of a switch

Because (Super) NES and Genesis controller signals are different, you need to add either extra controller ports or rig up a switch to switch the controller ports between the Genesis and (Super) NES controller signals.

  • Do You Have To Order It.

  • actually, i no a place called Level Up right next to the pep boys and they got aLOT of stuff there including a gn twin.

  • how do u make the game genie work?

  • I order one its coming soon

  • It would be more interesting to see you guys testing the GN Twin with NES en Sega games.

  • I hope the GN Twin works with other Sega Genesis controllers, unlike the Gen-X.
