PC and Tablets have completely different experiences it is not a good idea to make a single UI, when you sit in front of a computer you want your shortcuts and keyboard accessibility and not screen touching, your hands almost do not move (since you don't want to destroy your joints).
I guess that I will go 8 before I go touch... I get, that they are exited about touch-devices, but it would have been nice to see how it works with mouse and keyboard :/

You do realize that "app" is just an abbreviated form of "application". And applications (like Office, Photoshop etc) are what you run on your PC. This is an alternative to starting them with icons. Calm down. It's actually a nice change from the norm.

@Randyvdmeer Yeah I hope so it would come.... becuase in a desktop mode where mutliple windows are open and cascaded upon each other it's important to have a widget like GUI where users can glance for a second any essential info...
