  • One could make 10 god songs from the melody of this one, it´s so rich!

  • great song :)

  • الله عليك يا بنت الجزائر اسم علئ مسمئ

  • its a 40 years old melody and aaliyaa utilized it in 2003 that prouve the beaty of the arabic music

  • chef-d’œuvre

  • Genius.

  • This song is my favorite, even though I have no idea what she is saying. I still love this song, and I'm an African American.

  • you idiot up loader this song was released in early 1990's u stupid

  • so ramantic!!

    i likeeeeeeee!! <3

  • umm what do u mean the arabic version??? LOL Aaliyah's song was sampled from this!! This goes back to the early 90's!!!

  • @ssokkar origin arabic version dont miss original meaning this is where Aaliyah's song was sampled. dnt take opporunities to make a smart remark when its clear started what this is and you can't intrepret what it says in the description bar.

  • @jwings84 I'm not trying to make any smart comments. I'm not even sure what you're saying!! All I'm saying is Aaliyyah's song was sampled from the Arabic song batwannes biik and not the other way around. I don't understand why you're trying to start shit on the internet :)

  • @ssokkar on the internet?if i was right infront of u i wud say the same thing but really wtf was i saying loool but eiter was this sample doesnt define the craftmanship still put in aaliyahs song. people just thing oh the samples there and thats all they need.

  • tous jours ma prefere

  • I remember this song <3 my mom loves this singer!!! I do too !! She's amazing!!

  • I love this song so much, I don't know what it means sadly but it just sounds so beautiful. Could anybody explain general what she's singing about and what language this is? I thought it was Arabic but I wasn't sure if it was a specific dialect or if I'm just completely off my mark lol

  • @marmartica Yes it is a specific dialect; it's Egyptian. She's basically singing to her man that his presence comforts her. Everything about him; his voice, his soul comfort her... When he's away, every part of her calls out for him. Crowded places become empty and dull in his absence. "Batwannis beek" means "you comfort me" in Egyptian. :) Hope this helps.

  • La musique comme les paroles sont égyptiennes

  • Who could dislike this masterpiece?

  • to sharon

  • first melodie .. cheb khaled and melissa ( benthi) niceeee!!

at 2:34 timbaland and aaliyah (dont know what you tell ya) nicee!!!

  • j'adooooooooooore cette chanson, mais j'aurais préféré voire Warda , elle est belle tout comme sa chanson

  • Love this song! Arabic music is the best!

  • beautyfulllllll masallah!!!

  • First off sampling is never good. I make rap beats and if I feel like there is a song that Id liike to incorporate into a hiphop/r&b beat, I take the time to learn the music and actually play it. Not copy and paste like todays artists do. And to think that someone would tarnish this song by sampling it saddens me. This is one of the greatest Arabic songs ever made in any Arab country.

  • @javadbonyani sampling is essental to hip-hop, Pete Rock Diamond D. Premo all sample, but they create new compositions from the samples not just copy and paste like Timbaland. This song is classic, but non-arabs like myself would have probably never heard this song if it werent for sampling. So in a way its good, if people purchase the original recording, yet still bad becase we all know that Timbaland didnt pay a dime for this sample.

  • @eih312 you are right that in a way it's good that samples are being so people who never heared of the original can look it up and check it out. BUT when you steal and don't mention the original artist/composer than how would people ever find out about the original? When Aaliyah first came out with this song I did recognize the sample immediately because I'm originally from Morocco so I grew up with this kind of music.

  • اللله عليكي يا وردة الفن صوت دافئ وحنجرة الماسية واحساس مرهف زمان يا فن

  • NSsiTo MaRoC

  • timbaland sucks

  • associated with "souk ahras productions"

  • amazing amazigh

  • associated with souk ahras productions

  • Hi hi Aaliyah c'était rien qu'une petite voleuse !!!!! :p

  • God this song is amazing. And warda is an awesome algerian arabic singer.

  • this is the only reason why jayz succeed was because of this song... black people don't know how to write their own stuff...steal steal steal.. weak ass joke

  • @Johnnyboybravo Jay Z didn't sample this song. Maybe you're thinking of 'Big Pimpin' ' which Timbaland sampled for that Jay Z record...and there's no reason to bring race into this, what's the need. There are plently of talented Black musicians who make and write their own music, without 'stealing' others. You bringing race into it, is weak.

  • @BlackStarLeo but alot do and don't credit them... all the way back with tupac... if black musicians would credit those I would like it more because I can say they are redoing someone works to make it modern... instead of thinking its their work.... big difference.... leo

  • @Johnnyboybravo I agree not crediting them is wrong, but I guess you're talking about Arabic samples. Usually, when Hip hop/R&B musicians sample soul musicians (Marvin Gaye, James Brown, etc) they're always credited. As long as the original artist of the sample is credited then I don't see a problem. I was just saying there's no need to bring race into this, that's not the issue. Anyway I do think Arabic samples go really well with R&B/Hip Hop music, it usually sounds great

  • @Johnnyboybravo Also, sampling has always been a part of hip hop. I don't mean to go on about it, but I forgot to mention that in my other post..lol

  • wonderful singer

    wonderful voice

    wonderful song.......

  • beautyfullll

  • I love this thing, but I love Timbaland better.

  • i love this, its so beautiful. i love you all for showing us true music from the heart.

  • الله الله الله

  • Amazing ! God bless whoever wrote or contributed to the creation of this music.

  • wtf is everyone on about with timbaland and aaliyah! this woman was there before their time! shes a legend n this song is a classic!

please people get your facts straight!

  • @haneen91 Lol the reason why people are mentioning Timbaland and Aaliyah is because that's where most people heard the sample in the first place..it's not a bad thing, good samples (like this one) usually teach people about different types of music :)

  • @haneen91 Because Timbaland sampled the beat from this song! lol be happy, a lot of non-arabs listen to her music now because of that.

  • @ScoobzStah If someone steals something from you and makes a ton of money from it, you should be happy. Remember that if that happens to you.

  • @QueenAnime99 I think you're taking it way too personally, this is by far one of the greatest songs and one of my favourite tunes too.

It's about if Timbaland respected her (or whoever produced this song) enough to ask permission before sampling the beat.

    LOL at your comment though...

  • @ScoobzStah I don't think that I'm taking it too personally, but I agree with what you are saying. That is the point I was trying to make. I guess I misunderstood what you were saying and for that I apologize. Good day.

  • @QueenAnime99 Okay, no problem. take care.

  • @ScoobzStah Thanks. Take care, too.

  • @QueenAnime99 Get your brain checked and re-checked after that comment.

  • @hoozulooz I'm sorry, but I'm not understanding what point you are trying to make. Are you trying to make one? Otherwise, I don't see what is wrong with my comment, which does make sense.

  • @QueenAnime99 People should be happy if they get something stolen and the thief makes millions? How is that fair and in any way gratifying for the victims? Shouldn't they get some sort of profit?

  • @hoozulooz Thank you for clarifying. I agree with you and I was responding in a sarcastic manner to another poster (ScoobzStah) whom I had misunderstood. Good day.

  • @haneen91 erm your point is,are you disrespecting bot aaliyah's and timberlands work? this is sampled timberland used a particular prt of this 9min long song why is so long is beyond me but he has a good ear and no1 else could of picked out the sample and made such an amazing song from it.

  • @haneen91 Actually this is indeed timbalands beats, however im sure they went through the proper legal channels in order to use it

  • @kandikokane This beat belongs to arabs. This beat is orginally arabic but timberland used it in one of aaliyah's music videos. Not sure if timberland gave credit to the arabs ,but all i know is that timberland did not create the beat of this song.

  • absolutely loooooove this song, this is really the best version

  • @tehhandyman I agree with you 100%, I wish @timbaland007 would've been prosecuted further than a small fee of which is (now) nothing big to him. Although he did consider suicide over a 2Mil watch his "step brother" stole haha

  • 2:43min i love it!!!

  • This song has nothing to do with either Timbaland or Aaliyah. You are (mostly) all idiots and your thoughts are the only thing connecting this song with those two people.

  • @kayslay2k Everyone know if anyone stole American beats, they whould be sued and sent to Jail. While the Americans can steal Arabic songs and everyone else, with out getting in trouble. Thats what i call double standard. FUCK YOU TIMBALAND

  • still she is half lebanese. so perfect mix.

  • timberland aint that bad

hes bad whit his (WORK) and lisin im sorry that i hurt u i understand u are a fan but do not acept his work

  • timberland thief just wright it up there

  • @ilic5314 hm ..and what if she knew that it was 'stolen'?!

  • Absolutely beautiful

  • ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyywa!

  • this artiste should bring the algerians and egyptiants toghether , and make a stop to the stupid disagreement over a stupid soccer game

  • Ok, seriously, I've been looking everywhere for the full version of this song to the very end, and for once, I can't frkn find what I'm looking for. Super frustrating. Anyone have the full song, one that doesn't cut the music off at the end??? T_T

  • @Ethyogptn euh, buy the cd maybe?

  • @chantal215 My parents have multiple copies of this song, but none of them are 100% full. :( But that's okay, I'll live. :>

  • man these are what we call songs, close to 10 mins where ur listening closely and enjoying it over and over again, like warda, oum kolthoum, abdel halim etc... than these new 3-4 min songs that bore the hell out of u after listening to them more than once

  • Batwannis bik wanta ma3aya <3 omg this song is so close to my heart

  • This is for you Honey i'm X i'm the one loving you 4 ever i miss you

  • Beautiful song! but during that violin bridge all I can hear in my head is 'I don't know what to tell ya" lol

  • I believe it is spelled "Batwanes Beek".

  • @VidMasterZ are u actually being serious?? i usually never reply or participate in these comment box stuff but i saw you comment and it just got to me.... u r seriously telling us how you believe it is spelled??? like what r u expecting the guy change it or smthn? u wanna go around all the different spellings of batwannes beek on youtube and comment?? i might just be having a bad day, but u should get a hobby or smthn dude. seriously this cant be healthy...

  • @fadz0087 I could say the same thing about you. Mine was just a passing comment, but you wrote a whole freaking essay. Calm down, it's not that big a deal.

  • algerians and egyptians!!!! listen what we can do if we stay together.... this song is a masterpiece!!! Allah ye7mi al jazayer we misr!!

  • w ya7mi kol dowal l3arabiya ya akhi amiine

  • Warda a une voix inégalable, superbe

  • Masterpiece

  • ihre lieder sind einfach super

  • Magnifique ....

  • since it was only a portion of the song it is sampling and totally legal.

  • this track is beast man. Indian singer, orchestra, sitars in the back and tablas man oh man. Im late. Darn timbo and his theft

  • La meilleur!

  • great song with great lyrics !

  • its a indian hunterz band song jst 2 listn type in youtube sanu challa mor de r hunterz

  • @jamshed767 No, it's just a cover, I am more than sure that this is the original, it has at least 30 years

  • Perfection... period

  • @haksnd super das lied

  • there is no lubnan in it.. its not from lubnan .. its an algerian singer.. this arabic beat is the original .. copied by timbaland ..

  • from lebanon with love

  • aaliyah's is a theif!!

  • @bawain stfu and stop talking shit she is not a theif she sampled this both of them sound great

  • @bawain It's called sampling. As long as they gave the original song credit for where they got the sample from it's legit. Something like "contains samples from (song name by artist)"

  • @dealmaker007 where did Aaliyah do tht???

  • @bawain I dont know man, maybe they didn't cite it properly or something but they should have given proper credit. However take that up with the producer and people who released it as the song was still unreleased when Aaliyah died. The song in question was not on her third album but a posthumous album that came out in 2004.

  • @dealmaker007 excuse me but i dont think they did,, they probably thought that Warda is in a faaar away land that dont know anything about copy right and that they can take what ever they want and no one would know

little did they know that something called YouTube would be invented ,, and now ppl know where Aaliyah got the tunes to her song

  • @bawain What I am trying to say is that you should consider the producer usually is the one who samples the beats, they are supposed to clear all of that before letting the singer use it. usually the singer is the one who buys the beat from the producer, but if the producer was unethical the artist may not know this. I did some reading up on it, and Timbaland has a habit of not crediting people outside the U.S. properly. HE WAS WRONG. I respect the original artist!

  • @dealmaker007 yeah i already know tht about wats his face Timbaland ,, Jay Sean made a song about that too,, he mentioned him (or was it Timberlake?) anyways yeah he's a big thief too ,,, and what pisses me off is that he compliments himself as a producer THAT THEIF!! :@

as for Aaliyah ,, well i didn't know this info ,, hehe sorry Aaliyah (if thats true)

  • Well, he only sample a couple of bars... so it's legit. :D

both songs are great, and the song lifted a perfect sample. :D

  • ALLAH !

  • gah at all these people screaming " IT'S stolen!!! It'S stolen!!"

Stuff a sock in it already, both versions sound great....damn....smh.....!

  • The Aaliyah's sample is 5:38 to 6:01, Timbaland is a genious!

  • @TheAaliyah190 Hell yeah I don't know what to tell ya is my jam but now I'm paying attention to this song here, which I never would have known about if it wasn't for Timbaland lol so I wish people would stop complaining.

  • @TheAaliyah190 thanks for telling me where it was cause i did NOT wanna listen to the whole thing and yeah i heard it!!! i agree he is a genious, for sure!!!

  • @TheAaliyah190 The sample is also from 2:42 to 2:55 :p and he should have given credit. He also did not credit a sample he took from a Turkish song that he used for Nelly Furtado's song "Wait for You"

  • The best voice= an algerian woman, I'm proud! What a deep and beautiful song...perfect to dance bellydance and candles around

  • The best voice= an algerian woman, I'm proud! What a deep and beautiful song...perfect to dance bellydance and candles around.

  • aliyah - dont know what to tell ya, is stolen from this

  • There is no comparison. This is my favourite song in Arabic, even above Oum Khaltoum. Is that heresy?

  • @shakiestalocachica no it is not!!!!!! mozart was "the most talented" classical composer, but yu can prefer hayden or haendel!! it depends on everybody's taste!!!!

  • amazing

  • @TheVeryLegendary he used other music do to more than a woman?

  • @xanicluvsspongebob i meant Aaliyah "i dont know what to tell ya"

  • Algerian voice + egyptian music = wawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!

  • @oranaise311318 wow this is egyptian music? i didn't know. i like it :] it's sounds really catchy and hypnotizing xD

  • @misterfreehugs yeah, like most of classical egyptian music pieces!!!! it's always sensual and hypnotizing!!!!!!

i don't know if yu know about egyptian classical music, like the Diva oum kelthoum!!

  • @oranaise311318 no, i don't know about egyptian classical music. i'm asian :]

  • its algerian not egyptien :)

  • @oranaise311318 but sung in egyptian dialect...cant even tell the difference

  • @oranaise311318 No algeria in this

  • @razzovibb88 lol Warda is :))

  • The rich instrumentals and ever-changing melodies make the original Warda number far superior to Aaliyah's overdose of electronica, in my opinion. I think this gem is more comparable to J.S. Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor," another masterpiece of contrast and juxtaposition.

  • I used to hear this one even when I was 15 and I'm just some guy in the Swedish forest.

It's very special composition because it holds off for like 2 minutes before giving us the candy... if you understand what i mean... makes you go a little wild at 1:43

  • @Komsip ....I do understand...you are right!!!!!

  • @Komsip yeah exactly!!!

  • My Fav...I just love her.

I can dance forever to this song!

  • amazinggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

  • THIS is the original version, PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAASE !

  • thank you for uploading it ... i love it

  • es una cancion fantastiva y la melodia......... que melodia adicta..... es una de cancinces inmortales!!

  • infamous because aaliyah is dead. not because the song is bad.

  • @kittycatcarley the original melody is from Warda !

  • @Leela589 yes? i know that? your point is?

  • Comment removed

  • killer

  • This is one of the most sensual songs I ever heard. Warda’s warm voice and tone, the moving rhythm, the lyrics… the whole thing is just oozing with sensuality!

  • lol infamous means famous for a bad reason. Either way, great song.

  • yalla WaRdA yallaaaa ! batwannis beek wentameaa... selam min TurK (*

  • Timbaland have the rights of all Warda's songs now. That why he used the sample of this song for AAliya...

    Warda is the original:-)

  • @Morphielnvasion are you kidding me..i mean us..this is the authentic music and lyric of Batwannis Beek, probably older that you!!! Get educated better about the greatest world singer. If some people do not know about her and other famous Arabs singer is just due to the Eurocentric education that the students "enjoy" in this and most European countries..What a shame..total lack of knowledge..how disappointed I am..
