  • love how this is a legit worship tune and an ubercrazy metal tune

  • Also, I just noticed Octavio (black guy bassit) in the far back and it looks like he is singing at the end? LOVE THIS

  • Why don't you ever see Coery Steger screaming too? I have both COTP and AOD and they credit Coery (guitarist) as a back up singer/screamer and you can tell the difference between him and Dallas on the cds

  • i will miss old underoath

i will miss how metal used to b

  • 2:32

  • this is just my opinion but i like the new underoath before aaron left there music doesnt sound the same after her left

  • 90's underoath = FUCKING EPIC.

Jeeze this song had to been released at time when backstreet boys were popular... so long ago LOL!

  • Jesus Christ i love you

  • are you guys are true Christian?

  • Jesus Christ i love you.

  • I have to say I love all of UnderOath's work. To keep a band and make them sound they same all the albums, is like me telling you, "never to grow up". Musicians grow and thats what they did... :D

  • @TheFreeListener i know its weird that they keepthe name. i just not used to see these guy im used to see todays underoath. the thing that got me wondering was if it was them is i couldn't see aaron lol the underoath rock i wsh i was like them then but i think i like4 or 5 then

  • TOO FAST IDIOTS!!!

  • You're crazy. I hated Dallas. Spencer is so much better. He can actually scream ON KEY. lol Plus he is so bomb he can get away with wearing girly pants and never showering... Plus... Dallas only had one sound. And literally NO range. What so ever. Every song could be completely the same with a different beat and no one would know the difference.

  • @Rockonjen1 I have to get at you....You are so, wrong. Dallas had so much more passion, the love he expressed is speechless...it shows in every song he wrote. The new band has sold out, plain and simple. That's what attracts fans like yourself, simple follow along words, with less meaning. I'm not what-so-ever hating on you, i'm just trying to draw a picture. Think about in a deeper picture, and maybe someday you'll realize what i'm trying to say. Until then, much love and God Bless.

  • @TheFreeListener, Do you still listen to them? their music has a place in every part of my life. They are musical geniuses. Their passion pours out not only in their lyrics but in their instruments as well. Spencer is just a little more abstract. You have to feel their words before you can understand them. Tis true my friend. It's art. lol

  • @Rockonjen1 No I do not...I stopped listening after the album "They're Only Chasing Safety" or something like that came out. I did really like "Some will seek forgiveness, others escape". I was really only stating my opinion that I don't think the Underoath today, is Underoath. I don't disagree with you at all, all music regardless is a form of art. I do prefer the old heavyness more than the new age stuff. Just my opinion and what I prefer, I wasn't attempting to bash on you at all.

  • @TheFreeListener - My favorite song is Casting Such a thin Shadow. Not only does the music itself feel like it's radiating from my soul, but the Lyrics pretty much complete the package. That song is from their Define the Great Line album. Actually that entire album is SO intense. Have you heard of For Today? You MUST listen to them if you haven't already. But you HAVE to have good speakers... Otherwise you wont get the full effect. Their lyrics will blow you away.

  • @Rockonjen1 I have all the time in the world right now...I can't sleep, so yea i'll definitely check them out. Thanks, keep spreading the love. :)

  • @Rockonjen1 I have to say though, my all time favorite by Underoath. Would definitely have to be "And I dreamt of You". I've yet to find a song as beautiful as that, anywhere. If you know of one, please do tell. As always, spread on.

  • @Rockonjen1 By the way, I do have that song on my chan. If you so happen want to check it out, lyrics are there as well.

  • @Rockonjen1 I did check out "For Today". I have to agree the music and lyrics are awesome, though I don't really like the screeching scream. To each their own though, right? Great message and music though!

  • AL Q NO LE GUSTE NO LO ESCUCHE Y LISTO ¬¬

    SIGAN CON MIERDALLICA!!!

    MIERDADETH!!!

SE CREEN MUY SABIOS NIÑOS SOLO X ESCUCHAR MIERDALLICA Y BANDAS CLASICAS...

  • @PEPE12345METALERO HAHAH! totalmente d acuerdo!

  • so this is dallas taylor? right

  • @tobi5390 Yes, this is the original "Underoath". Everyone you see now under this title, are not originals. There is not a single original Underoath member left. Why do they keep the name? That's my question not yours :). lol...I vote for band name change, the so called Underoath you see today, Is not what-so-ever Underoath.

  • Old underoath is best Underoath. I wish they still made Satanic sounding songs about Jesus n stuff. They're new shit is bad.

  • as i lay dying was at this festival as well i think.

  • Jesus crist i love you !!!

  • the lead guitarist in this live is just sick, he does so much more than just the studio/album version of the song, he makes almost all the riffs even more complex and crazier...

  • this song (if u listen to like 1 minute of it and point fingers) sounds like devil music. but then u dissect it and read the lyrics and understand it, its true worship to god :')

  • @stilllife0000 Exactly what I say. I mean they could make a satanic song that sounds like sunday morning worship music. It's not the music style that makes the meaning of the song. It's the lyrics.

  • @DracoAzule yup its the lyrics plus the inspiration (the heart of the writer behind the lyrics)

  • They don't show aaron at all!!!! hahahahahahaha nice stage dive by dallas!

  • Jesus Christ, i love you.

  • Underoath used to be so bad ass!

  • fuck! yeha man!

    i love this fucking shit!

  • sic @ 0:53

  • Christ, old Underoath gives me such chills. They were so amazing, so creative, and so full of talent.

  • Old underoath n dallas made christian beliefs the back bone to there music while new underoath n spencer only make it the bckbone to their life.

  • pioneers of christian metal! absolutely amazing

  • i cant believe its been 10 years :(

  • The only thing that ruins these bands are the singers.... sometimes the riffs are so good...and then they start to sing.

  • I love it how Dallas involves the crowd, like he did at the end.

  • dallas was not horrible it was the beginning of 2000's what do you expect him to be perfect back then so stfu up idiot before you hurt yourself

  • I wish they'd do this song again with Spencer. Dallas was horrible

  • dam i miss the old underoath they were insane

  • p.s. underoath is about as good as going to church on sunday instead of sleeping off a hangover

  • i miss old underoath act of depression was there best album ever now there gayass upbeat music just blows

  • @Gandaar2

I agree, but I like Cries of the Past as well.

  • fuck yea brother i agree

  • @Gandaar2 straight up agreed

  • @Gandaar2 Dude totally. New singer made the band gay.

  • @Gandaar2 no way They just evolved staying the same is boring

  • yes it is this is underoath a decade ago when they had almost a whole different band the only original band members left are octo the synthesizer and aaron the drummer, but yes this is underoath when they were good now they are queer

  • is that band Underoath?

i dont THINK so. but is it?

  • Yeah. Duh. Back in like 2000.

  • this is the best song of underOATH, i really FEEL this song.

  • someone screams FUCK YEAH!!! at 6:57 lol

  • cool ass stage dive

  • The Crowd surf at 0:55 is just epic.

  • spencer is better

  • no he's not

  • epicness

  • The old underoath was awesome! The ending of this video is just epic. I love how the crowd sings along. just, plain epic.

  • Their newest album is probably the worst, the lyrics aren't even close to as good as when Dallas ran the show.

  • Comment removed

  • well the underoath we know today is more like Underoath 2.

When Spencer came in and they started writing, They're Only Chasing Safety, They almost changed their name because they they reinvented their sound and wanted to scrap their old material. Possibly explaining why they never play these songs anymore.

  • Now only Aaron Remains :\ What a shame...Dallas is a much more talented screamer and song writer then spencer.

  • @RicRam76 im sorry but no...

  • yeah...i heard he left too

  • what kind of guitar did corey use anyway? the one in this vid looks pretty sweet and i cant find any info about the gear they used back when they played these old albums...

  • maybe a jackson... I can't tell. ESP?

  • Chris is not, unlike many people believe, one of the founders of the band. He joined in 2000, the band formed in 1997 with Dallas Taylor, Luke Morton, and Aaron Gillespie. Luke Morton actually came up with the name Underoath from the bible somewhere. So this was filmed somewhere between 1997 and 2000, Chris was on the record, but like I said, the founding members are Dallas, Luke, and Aaron. So thus, it's Aaron's band. And this IS Underoath, back then. They're nothing like this now.

  • i know i CAN'T STAND their new music

  • This is Underoath from Act of Depression, in 1999. The only original band member left is Aaron, the drummer. Underoath belongs to Aaron, if he leaves the band, Underoath has to change their name. The singer is Dallas Taylor, now of Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, yeah, his style of singing and music has greatly changed since then. If you don't believe me about anything, then look it up. Act of Depression. I have the album, these are all the band members that were apart of Underoath then.

  • teh poo? NOT underoath!!

  • LOL epic fail scene emo boy XD , they are UnderOath from the 99'

  • @FckinHollywood there not gay emo Fag

  • @FckinHollywood STFU you little flaming fagget ppl like you try to wreck good music like this go back to listening to the new mainstream UO fag

  • @SlipknotInside9 how is underoath mainstream?? they're so different from all those other post-hardcore bands. if anything, this sounds just like every other fucking song by evey other band.

  • @SlipknotInside9

    Would Slipknot be considered mainstream?

  • @thundersnake1 Yeah of course how do you think slipknot got famous because they sold out to the illuminat Rockefella same with the New Underoath the Old Underoath was'nt Mainstream or any thing like that or sold out.

  • @SlipknotInside9 how is new underoath mainstream i dont hear them on the radio everyday.

  • it loox like those 2 guys in boots were taken from mushroomhead like they were paid to play or sth lol

  • yeah, kinda is.

  • yes it is way back dude they had band members quit plus it sounds so evil its fuckin sweet

  • haha this is VERY OLD underoath.

  • hehe yes now i know ! but new underoath is 100x better !

  • haha yeahh newer underoeth owns this XD

  • a message for adrienne- underoath

    is prolly their best song.

  • I LOVE IT when scenies don't know the real Underoath.

  • im sure they're glad about that.

  • its sarcasm.

  • I know.

they think they're only chasing safety is their first album.

  • no its Act of Depression is

  • @crazymatt117

    dude. I know it is.

    READ CAREFULLY.

  • i've seen em live with the chariot, hopesfall, and fear before the march of flames and they realy sucked, thier old stuff is way better

  • I lol'd when they started jumping off the stage XD I wouldn't want all those people touching me XD

  • This is the original Underoath. Fuck that new shit they sound like a bunch of whiny emo kids

  • .l.

  • aaron should have kept the dam china!

  • and who the hell are those bald statues?

  • this was not underoath right? are u kidding me they looked like a doom thing no styel yuk

  • You got no style

  • wow they really changed!! and what was with dallas's hair?

  • 0:50

    woah

  • they looked so wierd

  • old underoath was way better. much more screaming

  • they did not rock out they looked like statues

  • NOPE!

after dallas left is when they got REALLY awesome! love the old stuff, tho :P

  • ♪ JESUS CHRIST I LOVE YOU... ♪

  • I love dallas taylor!

  • simple love..

    I love OldUnderoath!!!!!!

  • MAN! Dallas Taylor is my freakin idol! His lyrics are so clear and easy to understand. Spencer in my opinion ruined the band because now I have to think deep to understand some of his lyrics. I just wish Dallas would get back with the band (even though i dont think it will happen) :( Plus I miss there old deathcore/black metal sound. I think the only remaining member is Aaron Gillespie sadly. R.I.P. Underoath. God Bless!

  • i agree they should have never kicked out Dallas

    Spencer ruined the band

    and his lyrics were great

the first song i heard from them was "you're ever so invited"[[sorry if i said the wrong name]] i got so sick of that and tried looking for more underOath and found out the original lead singer was Dallas, and fell in love with their old stuff. Dallas is GEART! Spencer's screams are weak, and Dallas's voice is so WOW!

  • not to mention spencer is a breakdown killer

  • what are you ass suckers talking about? spencer is a god. but i have to admit dallas has a more in your face type of scream

  • he's alright, but that's it he's just alright i wouldn't call him godly

  • breakdown killer, what do u mean. in a good or bad way;p

    underoath ftw

  • no... chris the keyboardist is from the beginning

  • i mean since Act of Depression

  • aaron writes too though so it wasnt all spencer's fault and the only remaining founder is aaron, chris the keyboard player has been there since 2000 (cries of the past cd) so i guess you could say the only remaining members are aaron and chris.

  • yeah i see what your saying

  • lol i cant believe he jumped into the crowd at 0.55 and kept singing!!

  • i <3 Jesus Christ

  • Praise God! We have the gospel in all areas of music

  • yeeeeah!!!!!!

  • jesus christ, i love you.

this is why i love underoath. they put everything toward God. the burning passion for him. this is what makes old underoath so much more special. if you agree, click thumbs up!

  • 6:19 - whenever

    when he talks about god.

    i love underoath for that

  • fuck!! didn't know they hav this song on live

  • same

  • dallas taylor, god of the vocals.

i love how God blessed him with his vocals.

    so much energy.

  • simply they talks about to the god's love...and i love underoath...in this way..

  • Jesus i love you

  • you know this song? its for god

  • yeah underoath is realy religious

  • Yes real members

  • is that the real members?

  • dallas brings amazing energy to this band. he was incredible

  • haha i didnt know what octavio fernanzez looked like lol heslooks intense cuz hes so big.

  • Octavio is the smaller blackish dude...possibly latino..the huge bald dude is Matt Clark and Corey Steger is the dude that you see with his back turned towards the camera most of the time haha.

  • Jesus Christ! I LOVE YOU!

  • got this song on my ipod :]

  • HAHAHA studded bracelets old UO sucks IMO

  • Jesus is hardcore!

  • I thought this was a cover until I saw Chris around 2:00.

  • yes is underoath en 1998

  • omg!!! this is soooo old school underoath!

  • yes, is underoath !!!

  • no its not underoath

  • thats called original members, idiot,

  • THIS IS UNDEROATH??????????

  • damn right it is :)

  • The end ALWAYS makes me cry. I LOVE Jesus Christ.

  • lol @ defending this band. i'm glad some idiot bought their first 2 eps off me on ebay for $120+ dollars.

  • 8:45

  • bluesBro18 how dare you to say that shit and if you cant understand the lyrics why do you still listen to this, you better go listen to something that your tiny full of shit brain can understand... you idiot

  • The golden years of Underoath.
