@KubernetePirata Of course we owe God our favor. He was willing to send His only Son to take the punishment for our sin so that we could escape the just punishment that awaited us in hell and be spend eternity joyously praising God forever. God has offered us repentance so that we may not only be saved from the punishment of the sin, but also from the sin itself. We should be infinitely thankful. Christ's sacrifice was the greatest gift ever, and it would be a great tragedy if it were wasted
Also, I don't see why cannot God take on the form of a man if He wants to. If He is truly God, then should be able to do as He wills, regardless of what mankind may think of it.
Damn I hate it when youtube only says there's 1 reply when it's actually 2
According to you, the trinity is God, & to quote from you brother religion, saying that God is a "person" is wrong. For he has no figure, he is way beyond that. Seems you've forgot that the Bible is a compilation, written by many people & edited many times. Not every single line is true.
@KubernetePirata I see. However the Bible contains loads of prophecy indicating that it is from God. If it is from God, then God would be able to preserve His word regardless of how many hands it passed through. The ancient Jews were entrusted with preserving God's word, and were very serious about it. They would not have dared edit it.
Also, you say that God is "way beyond" being a person. Exactly what is you concept of God?
Yes it does contains prophecy, but it's actually not the Jews who did all the Bible what you're seeing it today,it's Europeans there had been some discoveries of the other gospel's scrolls (1 in Egypt, 1 in middle east) saying different than what the bible is. So did God really preserve it? Yes, God did, but does his followers accept it? No, they don't (historical & archaeological fact) Moreover, Jews don't accept Christianity because Jesus was a heretic for saying he's the son of God.
@KubernetePirata I see, but the four gospels of the Bible are the only four gospels. The other "gospels" were written long after the apostles, and thus can't be considered to actually be gospels. While the Jews do reject the New Testament, that doesn't mean that they didn't diligently preserve the Old Testament
I don't believe I understand something. If you believe that there is prophecy in the Bible, then why don't you believe in what the Bible teaches? Exactly what is your concept of God?
Of course I was about to answer you about "concept of god" but it exceed the word limit. Still, mind you the Bible the Christians have now was written by the Greeks & Romans, they compile the records & ripping off from other religions (Christmas, Easter, Halloween & so on) not the Jews. There are confirmed to be 13 gospels during Jesus time, only 4 made it. They discovered 2 more (as stated & confirmed by carbon dating). So now, Christian bible aren't gospel's work. I have exceed again
I do regret YouTube's 500 character limit, but you can always split your comment up into multiple comments if you have to. I am very interested in hearing your concept of God.
I realize that certain Christian holiday dates were borrowed from pagan traditions, but that doesn't mean that Christianity's core beliefs were borrowed.
The apocryphal gospels are not included in the Bible for a reason. They were written long after the other gospels and couldnt have been written by witnesses of Jesus' life. They also contradict the gospels that we can be certain were written by the apostles
Even if the Jews had not written any of the New Testament, that still doesn't change the fact that Jesus fulfilled all of the Old Testament prophecy regardless of who recorded His life
Mind you, they aren't written by the witnesses of Jesus, it was compiled by the Greeks (or I should say the Romans) Or I should just said 1 man compiled & wrote the entire Bible (Paul). About 300 yrs later they are revised, still those other gospels aren't included (& many parts were taken off) Now they've found more, still they don't include it. That shows how unreliable & ignorant the Christianity are. & No, Youtube will inform me only 1 reply, I don't think it will be honest to you.
@KubernetePirata The gospels were written by witnesses of Jesus and those who had direct contact with witnesses. The Roman Catholic Church did declare which gospels would be considered legitimate at the Council of Nicea in 325, but it was already generally accepted which books were and were not forgeries b/c it seemed obvious. All the council did was make it official. YouTube informs me of only 1 reply, but I always check for multiple comments. I'm very interested in hearing your concept of God.
Still, they didn't know, and there are 3 Jesuses if you didn't know wandering around Palestine (the entire region was named Palestine). Besides, those 13 gospels of your Jesus was an eye witness too, I think they'd removed the others because they didn't like it because the church declared the others who worshiped the other books to be slaughtered. I don't want to get to the obvious points because youtubers can't admit it & this entire thing will turn into a flame war. Lovely, right?
I'll bite, you can't blame me if you'd missed the other comment. So there are 3 concepts from me, 1) the 1 you'd love to hear. 2) the 1 you don't want to hear. 3) the 1 based on history (which you won't & will never accept). I am more of a Christian ( though I am a pagan) than all the Christians on this rotten planet, dead or alive compiled. I'll let you choose 1 (If I'm a normal Christian, I'll shove 3 of them in your throat in a long lecture & indoctrination). I trust your free will.
@KubernetePirata Let me get this straight. You say that you are pagan. What exactly does that mean? Do you believe in multiple gods? Also, you say you believe in Jesus and that these 13 gospels tell the real story of Jesus. Also, who sent Jesus and was Jesus divine, was Jesus the incarnate of a god or of God or was Jesus merely a man? Also, you say there were 3 Jesuses. Who were these other two then? Did they die for our sins? Did God have 3 Sons?
I thought you'd understand my Catholic talk, Catholics will call any non-Christians "pagans". The word itself also means people who doesn't follow the religion of the Bible, Torah, & Qur'an. These people are pagans to you, in that case, I am a pagan. I believe each gospels tells the stories in different aspects, in order to gain a better understanding, all aspects MUST be heard. Your relative religions (Judaism & Islam) says Jesus isn't son of God, but a man tasked by God to save us all
Here I thought you're different, how disappointing. As said, I have 3 answers for you, 1 of them is what you'd believed since childhood, 1 is from 3 aspects combine, & the last 1 is from what historians had. You didn't choose. 3 "Jesuses" was what the historians found to be what the church wrote as 1 person. 1 of them spreads the word of God & did some miracles, the other 1 did some extraordinary miracles (ie. raising the dead) the last 1 died on the cross. Limit reached.
@KubernetePirata Which historians are you using, and which gospels are you using? There is a video, if you type in "Council of Nicaea myth debunked gnostic" in YouTube's search bar, then the first result, by username Knowwheretorun1984 goes into detail about the Council of Nicaea and how the apocryphal gospels were never considered to be gospels.
Also, if you don't mind my asking, earlier you mentioned missionaries, exactly what part of the world are you in and what religion do you believe?
Legends or not, you can't deny the fact the Catholic church slaughter many people & limit their beliefs. Which makes it matters a little on when was it written, they can't deny the graves & ruins of the pagans they killed. Mind you, I didn't mention the council of Nicaea because many changes are made later, & historically, Catholic church came to be during dark age. From which sources you ask? Many, history, science, & your relative religions. Here I'm running out of comments again.
Doesn't it ever occur to you why the Christians aren't 1 & why are you hating your relative religions instead of merging as 1? You can do some readings on it, lots of familiarities & grounds for you to stand together. Won't that make your god happy? Now you're asking me about the missionaries, I know where you're heading. Where am I on the world? I am where I can say Christianity only brings death & destruction (guns & cultural destruction) Wait, that's what all Christians do.
I'm really sorry to hear that. People do twist Christianity for their own power hungry purposes, and that is very sad. However, people twist perfectly good causes all the time. It isn't limited to religion and it doesn't change the original cause. You shouldnt judge Christianity by men who are imperfect and may or may not actually be Christians, but you should judge Christianity by Jesus Christ, who was willing take the infinite penalty for your sin on the cross
I see what you're saying, but what you have to realize is that faith is only as good as what you put your faith in. Faith in a lie is no good. The truth is not relative. The fact remains that Jesus Christ is the only name by which anybody can be saved from their sin and from the holy wrath of God, and you can't sacrifice that truth or else your faith will be in vain. Christ's sacrifice was the greatest gift ever, and it would be a great tragedy if it were wasted.
I'll try to sum up my replies to fit 1 comment ere. How could you say it is bad to judge religion from their followers when the Christians are the ones doing this (& still do today)? Then you're saying it is good the Catholic church slaughtered those people because it's a sacrifice to keep faith? Then you say Christians have their faith in a lie? Stop bringing Jesus up, I'm sick of people using him as an excuse & a desperate plea for people to convert. It's not grateful, it's annoying!
I've never said any of those things. I never said that Christians had faith in a lie. I was saying that any religion that denies the divinity of Jesus is a lie. I know its important to love people and have respect for people of other religions, but it is dangerous to merge religions because then you risk losing the essential truth that Jesus died for our sin. I know I quote Jesus a lot, but He really is the center of Christianity. Without Jesus, Christianity is nothing
Since I'd just figured what Part I & Part II (Part Unos & Part Duo) really meant. Means I have some cover to do.
You said "you have to realize is that faith is only as good as what you put your faith in". So, Christians have faith in a racist, genocidal, warlike, religion full of lies. Indeed, you may worshiping a rebellious church of Christianity, that doesn't change that fact, or fixing any lies that lies in the book you're reading from. As I see, rebellious churches is getting worse.
I know Christians don’t like merging with other religions, but truth is not an opinion. When you merge, you can lose the truth that we are all sinners before God and deserve hell, every last one of us, and that Jesus, the Son of God took the penalty for our sin while He was on the cross, and that it is only by accepting His most precious gift and letting Him transform our lives through repentance that we can avoid the punishment that we deserve and spend eternity with God
Americans love to boast of their shameful bravery, but I am talking about Christians as a whole. They love to smear their religion all over the place, & everybody have to keep their mouth shut. Sure, they want the best for their "peers", but by smearing, indirect conversions, & indoctrination is not something to be grateful of. It's sickening. Moreover, Christians teach their followers to be weak, powerless, & God depending. Who are we to burden creator?
I know you probably aren't too fond of America, and you probably have some very good reasons not to be, but Christianity is not American. Americans aren't nearly as Christian as they think they are. To be honest, many of them aren't really Christians but just abuse the system. What I'm saying is that you shouldn't reject the teachings of God because power hungry people abuse them.
Jesus was a poor Jew who lived in ancient Israel. He wasnt a rich white businessman from America. I'm not asking you to believe in American culture, I'm asking you to believe in Jesus. Those are 2 totally different things. I can understand why you don't like America, but please dont let greedy people distract you from the precious gift of salvation that God has given through Christ Jesus. I’m praying for you, that you accept Jesus and that God blesses you & your nation.
What makes you think I'm referring to Americans? I only believed Iesvs existed & died, but that's all I care about him. Christians love to make his death as an excuse of gaining more converts or keeping their children as closed-minded morons. What did they get in the process? An army of idiots. It's all sickening & I want these moronic practices to be stopped!!!!!
@KubernetePirata What exactly makes you thing that Christianity is "moronic"? I understand that Christians don't want to modify their beliefs, but that is to preserve God's path to salvation. God has given us one way to escape hell and get to heaven and that way is Jesus. I know it may seem like Christians are infringing on your culture, but it's only because they want what they truly believe is best for your soul. It's not about anyone's particular culture. It's about God.
To begin with, Jesus stated clearly he is "The only way", but as you can see, there are lots & lots of ways (ie. Pentecost, Baptist, Anglicans, Puritans & bunch of other moronic churches I can't type them all). Christians are already lost, merging will only make them see views & reconsider of their "The only way", how did they know their "only way" is "right"? Moreover, they kept plummeting their "The only way" to their own children to make them close minded, Christianity is lost.
The Pentecostals, Baptists, Anglicans, ect are all different denominations, but they are not different religions. They all still follow the core doctrine of Christianity that we are all hopelessly depraved sinners who need forgiveness and that Jesus died for our sin and we must accept His sacrifice to avoid hell and get to heaven. I know we don’t have perfect unity, but we are still flawed sinners.
I know Christians aren’t perfect, but that doesn't make Christianity false. The truth of Christianity depends on whether Jesus rose from the dead. It doesn't depend on how people today live. Even if every professing Christian were evil, that would not affect who Jesus Himself was. Even if every person who believed the Earth was round was evil, that would not make the Earth flat. Please don't let the flaws of sinful people distract you from the precious gift of salvation
Yeah yeah yeah, then how come these people from different church love to ridicule the other? How disorganized, but still, boasting of their numbers. It's easy for you to say, you're one of them. As said, these little churches also done their own things as well, things that the other said is sinful. It's more of an "convenient excuse" to people who is too afraid of not being a Christian but also afraid to commit a sin. Well, good job giving God & Jesus a face palm.
@KubernetePirata Well, I'm really sorry you feel that way, but churches almost always disagree on the nonessential issues, and whether or not they get along doesn't change the fact the Jesus died for our sin. You can't let the shortcomings of people in the church or me or anybody distract you from God. People are imperfect, but God is perfect. Jesus was perfect. He bore the infinite penalty for your sin, and nobody's actions can change that. Please don't waste such a precious gift.
Merely, just what it seems Christians from other churches behaves. So what should you be scared of losing when these petty churches merged? You kept on bragging about Jesus's sacrifice & perfection of your God as the core element. Then there is nothing to be afraid of in the merge. Why? Afraid that Catholics will win & you have to eat vegetables or fishes every Friday?
I dont mind merging as long as there are no differences on essential issues. However, a lot of Catholics do differ on essential issues. A lot of Catholics believe that they can work their way to heaven. Im not saying that all Catholics do, but it’s something to be weary of. All that matters is that we rely on Jesus' sacrifice and only His sacrifice and not on our own works for our salvation. As long as people believe in that, there's no real reason why people can’t merge
We’re completely helpless and cannot save ourselves from sin and God’s punishment. Every other religion teaches people to save themselves, and to make themselves fit for God; but Christianity says that we cannot. It teaches that mankind is utterly helpless before God, and there is nothing that we can do about our condition. It is God who must save us. Christianity glorifies God, and not man. This is what you would expect from a religion that is from God, and not man.
This is why I don't like Christianity so much, always teaching people to be weak & helpless. The prob is, some people really DID weak & helpless from it. Instead of striving for a better life for their family (not a selfish goal), they simply get on their knees & pray. God won't give you a promotion you know, your efforts would. It just makes people don't want to solve problems but to seek help. To be honest, your relative religions also taught to be weak, but they are stronger.
That's not the point that I was trying to make. I was saying that we cannot change the condition that we are sinners before God deserving His eternal wrath, and that we cannot make ourselves truly good. We cannot solve our spiritual problems. However, we should try to deal with our worldly problems as best we can. There is a saying that "God helps those who help themselves". We should seek God's help, but it is important that we do put forth our best efforts in life.
So it is that when it comes to our spiritual problems that we are helpless, but when it comes to this life we usually are not. We should seek God's guidance in our worldly problems, but we should also do what we can for ourselves and for others. If there is something that you can do about a situation, then simply saying "I'll pray about" is not the solution.
Also, Christianity is supposed to change your life. The Bible says that when we come to know Christ, our old selves die, and we are resurrected to a new life. Christianity is supposed to transform us into better people. The ultimate goal is that we become sinless and spend eternity with God. So yes, people who have been transformed by Christ will resemble Christ in their actions more than their old selves, and that's a good thing. That's a very good thing.
And by that, many Christians end up leeching & pleading God for everything, and they think it is good. They think they should beg God for everything to happen, not even try to solve it for themselves. I wonder where they are now, can't answer a math problem & end up begging for God without thinking back to what they've learned, what if that question is as simple like 1+1=2? There is nothing wrong with standing on your own feet. You brought the common ground up, so the merge is good
We should beg God, but we shouldn't just beg God. We should pray about everything because God does listen, but we should also do what we can. God has given us the ability to pursue our goals, and we ought to use that. Sometimes, our abilities are the answer to our prayers. I realize what you're saying, and unfortunately there are a lot of people who think that way, but the Bible does not advocate that sort of thinking.
For example, you should pray a better job, but God has given us the ability to work to get a better job. Sometimes the ability is the answer to our prayers. But we don’t have the ability to obtain salvation. We are all rebellious sinners. We cannot be truly good, so we are helpless when it comes to that. We all deserve hell, and there is nothing that can replace Jesus taking our punishment and us giving our lives to Him. Please don't waste the priceless gift of salvation
Wow, youtube new looks makes it painfully hard to identify the comments, I spend 5 minutes to find your part I because it only tells me about part II. Yes, yes, praying is good, leeching is bad, but lots of people do it, but the way you've explained doesn't help the theory saying The Jesus spend his lost years studying Buddhism in India. Your explanations sounds so much like a Catholic priest made-ups, or some reverends which will eventually contradicts itself.
I’ve placed > on my other comment to make it easier to find.
I see, but there’s no evidence that Jesus traveled to India. It’s implied in Luke 4:16, 22 – 24 that Jesus spent His whole life in Judea. Also, Jesus was a rabbi, and it would take years of education in Judea for Him to become a Rabbi. Jesus quoted the Torah over and over, but never quoted any Buddhist teaching.
That's what the bible will say of course, Jesus was never going anywhere, he was a carpenter at childhood, then a fisherman during his teenagers, then study, then wandered off in the desert for 40 days when God talked to him. Still, things don't add up, but historically, Judaism is a racist religion, & other religion in the area teaches nothing but war & death. Only Buddhism teaches otherwise, try to find the comparison with Buddhism, it's a copy & paste
I’ve placed > on my other comment to make it easier to find
The apostles died for what they believed Jesus taught. They wouldve known what He taught. They were with Him constantly. They wouldve known whether or not they saw / ate with / touched Jesus after He was crucified and resurrected, and they gave up everything, even their lives, to spread the gospel. Some were even crucified. Either Jesus really was the Son of God, or the apostles willingly died for a lie
Don't forget the Bible changed many times (if the Buddha in India can become Barlaam & Josaphat, then anything can) Of course, apostles will believe in him, he's the ONLY person who speaks peace during violent times, it's new, it's groundbreaking, nothing is special about that, it happens all the time. The lies came later, Christianity was a good religion, but it died long ago (around 4th century) Even Paul admitted he made some stuff up when he wrote the new testament
I can see how Jesus could cause the apostles to believe in something new, but that doesnt mean that He could get them to believe they had encountered Him after He resurrected. The apostles believed that an end had been put to Jesus, but then they suddenly and sincerely came to believe in His resurrection and then went out and died for it. You cant have better testimony
But let me ask you this. What would you consider to be convincing proof of the resurrection?
Nobody could change the Bible b/c so many people had copies. The people who had Bibles would realize it was being changed and would object. Imagine if someone tried to change it today. They cant b/c the Bible is so widespread that everyone would notice. Thats why when people try to change Christianity, they do so by misinterpreting the Bible, not changing it. The scriptures were widespread even back then, so changing it would be impossible just like it is today
Yes yes, there are many copies of the bible & blah blah blah, that doesn't explain how come there's such thing called "Bible salesmen" who sales different brands of bibles & how each church follow certain bibles from certain publishers. Now it doesn't matter if it's a cross checking, they won't accept the differ writings anyways. Also, the actual bible is gone, only a couple tens of thousands remained, scribes also make mistakes.
It does matter if Jesus resurrected. If He did then that means there is a God who is concerned enough with our sin to have died for us. We’ll be held accountable for our sin one day. We’ve all rebelled against an infinite God and deserve an infinite punishment. Christ suffered our infinite punishment that we deserved while He was on cross. The resurrection has huge implications for our lives both today and for eternity.
All religions speaks of a mystical man who did miracles, & they all based on that man & his miracles. Christianity is 1 of them, nothing is special about it. Christianity was just lucky to pop up when the Roman Empire was about to get to the Pax Romana. If Christianity pops up the time the Romans are attacking Palestine, Christianity will never exist.
I see, but you’re getting distracted from what’s important. True Christianity is shaped by God alone. It is given to us by the Bible. What power hungry people do doesn’t change the Bible. There are many translations, but they all come from the ancient Greek manuscripts, which were copied, and there are many copies and they match up. We can look at them today and see if they match up with the translations, so nobody can write a translation that goes against the manuscripts
Say, this is 16th century & the mighty Catholic Spain just vanquished Andalusia once & for all, you think Spain is paradise, but what is your remarks when you saw inquisitors dragged the "improper" Christians off their houses? What were they doing? They weren't praying at the appropriate time or not eating pork for their dinner. Then you can see the dead "improper" Christians impaled & their stench all over the place. Is that the place you want to be?
I don’t understand. If you believe that the Bible is true, then why don’t you follow Jesus? That’s what Christianity is. When Jesus said that there was one way, He was referring to Himself. There may be many sects, but Jesus is the only way we can avoid hell and receive eternal life. Life in heaven is not like life on earth. It is joyous, not boring, and it is what we were created for. It what’s best for us.
It true or not, their people don't even care, what's the point of being with those who truly understands the book & spend all your lives under the attic because the majorities doesn't care? Still, Jesus said there's only 1 way, that means you can only do it 1 thing, not many things, or decided you want to do something different & make an excuse you're still doing that 1 way. That "Only way" is lost to Christianity.
As said, Greek is a complex language, there are many ways to interpret 1 sentence. What if the actual interpretation was something you don't like? Of course you'll interpret the other way. Guess what did the Muslims said? "Only god understands it, and it is our job to interpret for ourselves" Guess what? It's true! That means you can interpret any way you want, you'll never right. Why bother shoving to other people that it is? Understand it the way you do. PERIOD!!!
I can see why you don’t like the culture associated with Christianity. But that isn't Christianity. True Christianity is following Jesus. The culture may be shaped by power hungry people, but that is a culture, not Christianity. Theres nothing that any person can do that changes what Jesus did for us. Jesus (not a culture) is Christianity. If there were bad people who started wars after Jesus, then that has absolutely no affect on what Jesus did for you on the cross
Here's a hard question I was reminded by someone on facebook which no missionaries ever answer. What's so good in worshiping a god who initially implant you with a sin & why are we being grateful when that god descended to remove the sin that was planted in us in the first place? That really make Jesus & his sacrifice pretty much like a scam isn't it? I think it is, if it weren't, Christians wouldn't bother sending people on the "missions" then blind their children.
I'd been there, not again, not now, not ever. They all pretend to say the same thing, but in their minds, they are all dirtier than a muddy water filled with leeches. IF I married & live in a Christian community, I know you all will take my wife & children away from me, and will try your best to pressure me. You can take my wife, you can take my children, you can take my house, but you'll never take me. That's the far future, but Christian tactics never changed.
Please don’t let sinful people distract you from the forgiveness of your sins and eternal life w/ God. Sinful people can change the culture, but they can’t change God’s word and they can’t change what God has done for us and how we must respond. If you really do believe that Jesus resurrected, then there is no reason why you shouldn’t accept the sacrifice that He gave for you. Please don’t get distracted by sinful people. Please don’t waste the salvation of your soul
I still don't understand, why are all Christians love to whore around the sacrifice? Not even to mention what gives them the rights to bashing around other faiths as well? So what? Ahura Mazda saved the planet from destruction from his brother, Thor slew frost giants, Buddha fought inner temptations & that gave him enlightenment, ant people saved native Americans from falling sky. These people came before Jesus, and they were worship. Nothing special about Christianity.
Here's what I'd realized, your picture is a black cross over a white background, are you those Teutonic Order? Order of those people who mercilessly slaughtered & enslaved Baltic pagans? Those very people who butchered the Lithuanians who just want to create a society of religious tolerance & preserving their ancestral values? If so, why are you speaking of peace when your hands are tainted with Lithuanian blood of those people who desperately defending their homes?
Accepting the sacrifice of a man for what? So I can douching around like a "proper" Christian would do? So you can kill someone without worrying about going to hell? That's not even the very reason you should be grateful for a man who lived & died long ago. If my Baptist friend were right, I don't need to be a Christian in order to get to your heaven. I have my reasons not to be a Christian, if your god don't understand that, then that deity is not truly a god.
I know the Inquisition was bad, but as I've said it only proves that we have a flawed sinful nature. It doesn't put Christ back into the grave. The one way hasn't been lost, b/c the scriptures that show it to us have been preserved. God has the ability to preserves His word. We can understand God's word. The Holy Spirit guides to us as we study God's word. God is capable of leading people to Him.
So I checked on the 3rd century again. I'd say, cross check won't work. Because the church will lie this to you so let me tell you. Globalization is ancient, you can cross check with Albanian, Pontic, Parthian, whoever, but guessed what? They were under the Romans, they merely translated & verified by the Romans. It can only affirm you or it can also lie to you. What is true about this fairytale is that the beard man lived & died, the rest is just an icing.
Riiiiiiiight, like how the people of the other churches separated from each other? Always hardly wanting to go to any other church than their regulars? My Protestant friend don't even want to go to the Catholic church. That's pretty separated to me. I know how the church will always boast because of the numbers, but that's all they can boast about. You really think 1/3 is a lot? Christianity is just 34%, of course they won't say that because it sounds few.
It is good to worship God b/c that is what we are created for. It's the only thing that will give us true fulfillment. Many things may give us happiness but only God can give us joy. God created us love Him. Love requires free will. Free will implies the ability to do wrong. If God created us so that we could not sin, then that would defeat the purpose of creation.
That sounds really irrational & no reason. That is why Christianity is bad. The only reason to worship is to please for the sake of pleasing, no other reason else. You said the writers are witnesses, then who witnessed the creation? Other religions (conveniently destroyed by the Christians) have their tale, some of them way more dedicated & more loving than Christianity. Also, since your god granted free will, then why are your friends saying free will is bad?
Another thing is that the purpose of everything is to bring God glory. If it were not for sin, then God's holy justice and wrath would not be revealed and His amazing mercy and love through Christ would not be revealed. If we accept Jesus, then God's mercy and love are revealed and He is glorified. If we don't accept Jesus and die in our sin and go to hell, then God's justice and wrath are revealed and He is glorified.
Henceforth, the very existence of the deities will be entirely pointless, so they have to grant us sins in the first place so they can play around, and here I thought how Christians is suppose to forgive & forget. But your god can't even forgive & forget a crime done by Adam & Eve that happened long ago, but condemning their children with crimes they didn't do. So Christian god loves to bear grudges isn't it? Oh well, but their investment did paid off.
Christianity is special b/c it's the truth. Every other religion teaches that we must save ourselves, the Bible teaches that it is only God who can save us. Think about it. If we truly believed that people are going to hell for not accepting Jesus, then it would be very cruel for us not to preach the gospel. We are not out to hurt you at all, and it’s wrong for anyone to do such a thing. We (and I’m not talking about the hypocrites) are out to tell people about Jesus.
And so, their followers loves to brag than doing it themselves, it's too comfortable, & too irrational. The only reason the religion itself can strive is through blind faith & lies.
Still, that doesn't stop the priests & missionaries to stop isn't it? The very people who claimed to know best, hah! What a joke. But many people really believed non Christians will ALWAYS going to hell isn't it? Boy, so I must stay a non Christian to meet Gandhi right?
We accept the sacrifice of Jesus so that we can be forgiven of our sin and live for God. We have all rebelled against an infinite God and deserve an infinite punishment. God would be perfectly justified, but He is so merciful that He took on our punishment through Jesus Christ. There's nothing in this world that compares to that. To sacrifice everything in this life for eternal life would be completely worth it.
Because Christianity always saying how god delivered salvation on an ivory plate, so most Christians never take things seriously, & how puny humans like us are weak & helpless so we need someone to steer us. Yes, yes, eternal sin & stuff, I thought I'm not in a cathedral or abbey. No real reason, just another bombardment the churches will do. Your god gives you legs, strength, & will, stand on your legs, it's not like your god will zap it off for doing so.
Wrong or right, you're striving for your god, if that god is truly a god, then your actions are acceptable. What is wrong with that? Strengths are there to be use, not to put it to rest or use it in swinging blades or pulling triggers like what many Christians been doing for more than 1700 years.
I know there are a lot of hypocrites in the church, but they will also have to answer to God. Please don't waste the precious gift of eternal life. Please don’t let such people distract you from God’s amazing gift. If you don’t like Christian culture, that’s fine, but Christianity is not a culture. Christianity is Jesus. Please don’t let the culture distract you from Jesus. That would be an eternal tragedy.
For what? So I have to put up with them for all eternity? If I remember correctly, you'll be spending time singing the same song over & over again for all eternity. I hate musics, it's boring to me. I also believe they'll be the ones dancing over the walls, insulting the non Christians who are burning outside, crying in pain. Christianity is already a culture if you haven't noticed, I believe if I didn't told you I'm a pagan, you'd surely think I'm a fundamentalist Muslim.
@KubernetePirata That's not what heaven is. It will be like a new earth, but without pain, suffering, sin, and death. It's not like we'll spend eternity playing harps on clouds. In heaven we'll have lives far more fulfilling then this one. We'll have jobs; not burdensome jobs but fulfilling work that will bring us joy. We won't just be singing forever, but will have fulfilling lives, and everybody will love and care for each other. There will be no strife. Please don't waste such precious joy
Since when did I said you'll be playing harp on the clouds? See? You really think I was talking about the pop culture reference crap. So now you have jobs on heaven? Last time I checked, your job is to celebrate & praise your god. Though, the Catholic did talked about an autocratic style of jobs, the higher ranking ones commanding the lower ranking ones. Doesn't sound like "heaven" to me. My paganic religion can taught me to be happy in life, why bother?
Christianity loves to play this heaven trick all the time, but it's just like any other ancient religions, "Life is full of pain & sufferings, worship us & you'll find comfort in our heaven," pretty much the oldest trick in the book. We can't have "fulfilling lives" as people have different thoughts & minds, wants & needs, conflicts will eventually happen. If everybody love & care for each other, it must be really boring. Soon enough, there will be chaos in heaven.
@KubernetePirata God is very merciful. He offered us all salvation and forgiveness that we don't deserve. Jesus suffered our infinite penalty while He was on the cross. He literally went through hell for us. Our lives will be fulfilling in heaven. Things will be the way God originally intended them. There will be no chaos, strife, or boredom. Everything will be good. You have to trust in God that He can make everything good. Please dont let worldly problems distract you from such a precious gift
Defensive stance eh? Sure sure, fight in a battle you know you'll win, that's the strategies of war. Well, what would it be like to live behind tiny walls called "heaven" when it's surrounded by an endless fiery plane called "hell". It is a lot more like a threat to all the angels & princeps & cherubs & blad blah blah to obey or they'll get kick off the walls. The only way that kind of thing will be achieve is when your god messed up all of our brains. That's not human but robot
God wouldnt mess up our brains. Our brains are already messed up by sin. That is why there is so much conflict in the world. People love money and power more than they love God and that is why there is so much conflict in the world. But in heaven there is no sin. In heaven we will be what God originally intended us to be, and thus we will have what is the best for us. It may be hard to imagine a world where everyone is fully fulfilled, but with God all things are possible
Then conflicts will also going in heaven as we all retain our brain & conscience. I also found scientific facts on crucifixion & what some other gospels spoken in the bible on how Jesus DIDN'T die on the cross. Also a bunch more of evidence supported on how Jesus didn't ascend to heaven 3 after he was resurrected (but of course, even John said he wasn't) But I won't show it to you as you're now acting as a typical Christian who won't listen so I won't bother.
God can create a heaven that is perfect. What is impossible for man or may seem impossible is possible for God. If God could not do the impossible, then He would not be God.
For one, how did you know that this "God" is a he to begin with? You can't do that by using "English either" because it's a sexist language. But how can it be perfect if there's no imperfect? I think this planet is "perfect" because there are good & bad people walking about so people can see that bad is bad & good is good. You said you'll be living up there forever, must be dull if everything is always good. That's an imperfect.
I believe that I gave you some material by William Lane Craig and Ravi Zacharias that proves Jesus’ resurrection. There are many theories to explain away the resurrection, but they are all things that people have made up so that they won't have to surrender their lives to Christ, and so that they can try to be their own gods. That is what sin is. It is rebellion towards God and subconscious act to overthrow Him. It’s what Lucifer did, but we have all done it too
Right right, like it is bad to know what is good or bad & critical thinking is evil. But you already know without this Luke, Christianity would've never been this success. So you're saying these guys said Jesus is pansies for dying a lot faster than his followers who were also crucified as well? Not even to mention thousands of other rebels & slaves who were crucified before Jesus. Any religious people can do the same thing that 2 guys does, nothing is special about them.
The main difference between us and Lucifer is that we arent as powerful as him. But weve all rebelled against God and deserve hell, but Christ took our punishment so that we could be forgiven and spend eternity w/ God in joy. Please dont waste eternal life. Please look up those 2 people. Please dont seek misunderstanding to rationalize yourself. Surrender your life to Christ. Its what we were created to do, and ultimately whats best for us
Still you haven't answer how does this "eternal life" is a gift when both Christians & non Christians will also have afterlife, but different side of the wall. The age of blind faith is over, only reasons are only thing keeping people sane, & virtuous virtuous, also, your god intended all of us to be doomed by planting that tree in the first place. I still feel like the salvation is a scam. According to the Muslims, your god won't bless me.
Eternal life is a gift b/c we can spend that life in heaven. Whenever the Bible talks about “eternal life” it’s talking about eternal life in heaven. Heaven is such a precious gift. One of the main reasons its so precious is that it also gives us a chance to escape the eternal punishment that we deserve. Eternal life in heaven is a precious gift, and it was paid for with a very high price – the blood of Christ. Please don’t waste such a precious gift.
So "eternal life" is life in heaven, so non Christians can still live, but being constantly burned. But how can you sure people down here (like me) will truly suffer? Since your god gave us knowledge & adapting brains, we might be able to adapt to your fiery environments. Maybe it might be better than heaven, I don't want to work, sing, & praise someone for all eternity, hell sounds a lot more suitable place for me according to you.
I don't know exactly what heaven and hell will be like but I do know that heaven will be heaven will be far better than anything on earth but hell will be far worse. Trying to circumvent that fact is not trusting what God says and making Him out to be a liar.
God is not unjust. His wisdom is so far beyond ours. It is better to lean on God than it is to lean on our own understanding.
If so, then you would neglect any known descriptions ever described in the bible or the gospels themselves? You said the gospels are NEVER wrong, will you say they're wrong now?By this point, I am not referring to the Catholics either. But now your excuse of "not knowing heaven" is leaping to how the Muslims described heaven. You said to be "right" with god, that's the same as trying to be equal to god. Missionaries always said they're "Trying to understand god" as well. See?
Being right with God is being righteous in His sight, being fit for heaven and not being in danger of hell. Basically being innocent. If a prisoner is forgiven by a king, then he is made right with the king. Does that make the prisoner a king? No. That's the way it is. Christians seek to worship God, and be made right with God, but not to be God.
That doesn't make a prisoner an innocent either just because the king forgave the prisoner. So from all these times, you only said we should worship your god because we are supposed to be afraid of punishments for being a human is it? How does that even a faithful & rightful religion? You made Christianity sounded like those religions & pantheons your ancestors wipe them out of existence.
Christians do try to understand God, but there are some things about God that you can never understand, and you just have trust in God at the end of the day that His wisdom is greater than our understanding.
Science also tries to understnad "God" in a more sensible sense, but that makes you said we are all "rebelling against your god", and what rights do you even have to think you can understand your deity? Don't you said such actions are actually a "rebelling against god"? After all, Christianity never lets their own follower thinks, only blind faith & propaganda.
Salvation is not a ticket to just do evil. (Romans 6) We are saved by God's mercy, but God's mercy changes us. If someone says that they are saved, but they don't change their lives to follow God, then that is evidence that they aren't really saved. That doesn't mean that our works earn salvation, but that our works result from salvation. Also, it doesn't mean that we will be perfect, but it does mean we will have a new desire to obey God.
Such words are rarely known to any common Christians. Why? Like I told you before, those "pseudo Christians" are the ones who forged Christianity to its current form, remember how you said "The Only Way" is not lost? Well it is lost, there are words & books that people don't even want to bother remembering, it's just like any other religion in a stalemate (if not) dying. Why struggle? Don't you think your jihad is a "rebelling against god" then?
God is not evil. He must punish sin b/c He is holy. If He were to simply "let sin go" w/out a punishment, then He would be eternally giving up His holiness. That is why Christ had to take our place, so that sin would still be punished.
So you said you would punish your son for a crime your son didn't even commit? So you're whipping your son just because I am not agree to Christianity? Why are you saying as if a Catholic priest tried to find an excuse & ended up saying what Buddhism would said? That already shows how much Christianity lacks in its validity. So your god still treats us as toys then? Well now you're starting to make me thinks your god is a miniature nerd.
My Christian friends tried that lines already, but what you said makes it is clear on how Christianity sometimes can't answer things & ended up quoting Buddhism. So let me ask something so you could try to make your further answers still sounded like a Christian. Isn't your god is all loving, endless kindness, & ever merciful? What you stated made your god sounded like a bipolar (quoted from another Christian commenting on your god)
Im not rebelling against God. Im doing what God has commanded me and I'm trying to do what I genuinely believe is for the good of your soul. God has given you "the middle finger", He has offered salvation to you. It is your choice. Please don't waste such a priceless gift.
You ask me how I know Christianity is right. I believe I've already mentioned prophecies and the martyrdom of the apostles. But let me ask you this: What would you consider to be proof of Christianity?
Don't you mentioned that we're all punished for rebelling against your god & how even you are still being (& will be) punish? Why are you saying you're not rebelling now? What are you? A new descension of your ever divine? What makes you think you're excempt now? Aren't the Jesus the ONLY 1 who are excempt from the punishment?
Now to the interesting part, you said free will doesn't leads to evil, then why are you acting that mine would & yours won't?
Proof to what? That there was a city under Dead Sea? A stone calendar counting the days of creation? The location of Eden? What is this "Christianity" you refer to? Or you're asking me what do I think about a guy in a rag who were executed for treason?
Or you're meaning all the bed time stories? What a vague question, be more specific.
God's forgiveness does make us innocent. God is transcendent. He is all powerful, and is able to make us right. We may not be able to understand exactly *how* God is able to make us innocent, but that does not matter. God is beyond our comprehension, and that is what you’d expect from God. Can a worm comprehend a man? Than how is a man supposed to comprehend everything about God? You have to trust in God over your own understanding. That is part of what worship is.
So now you're saying you're an immortal? Unlikely, you're a messenger with wings with the title of "angel" as initials then? I feel pity for your throat & the autrocratic way of life you have to face for eternity. I remembered you told me you're not perfect & even you aren't innocent, what changed? Or is it simply because you're a Catholic? Because you really sounded like one (your picture of a black cross over a white background doesn't help either)
I want you to convert because I don't want you to go to hell. I want you to spend eternity with God in heaven. You choose whether or not to accept Christ. It's your choice. Please don't throw away such a precious gift. No, I'm not Catholic. In fact, the Catholic Church really makes me nervous because they put so much emphasis on works for salvation.
You're start to talk like them, you've been telling me all these times I have to convert because I can go to heaven. You also showed me you don't love your god as you claimed to be, you're only a Christian because you want to live forever. So here's to the question, how can you value your life if all you think is afterlife? How can you cherish every breathe you take & every moments with your loved ones? Because to you, you'll live forever anyway. Life must be boring to you.
If I'm a pagan like this, at least I can value my life. In this paganic religion I the majorities are, they taught people to value life, & the highest salvation for individuals MUST be achieve by themselves, the path is perilous, but you'll know the value of everything along the way. Christians loves to spill out words like water though they love to say it's holy. Christianity makes people grows helpless & reliant, that is the folly of a man made religion, nothing special.
Yes yes, I remembered you said Christianity is "special" because it's not a man made, actually, it is man made. As I said before, the only 2 things that made Christianity survived, it's exotic method & the time it was founded, the rest is just like any other religions & those ancient pantheons your ancestor spend much time wiping them off the surface of the earth. I wonder what happened to Buddhism in Europe, never mind, Christians killed all of them & force convert them.
We are saved by God's grace alone and if we try to earn our salvation with good works then we are not trusting in Christ, and we may even be cut off from Christ. I'm not saying that all Catholics do this, but it is something to be weary of. Our works are important but they can’t save us. We can’t earn our salvation. We can’t make ourselves fit for God. Only the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ can.
So you're saying criminals, rapists, terrorists, corrupted officials, tyrants, dictators, & thieves can still go to heaven just being a Christian? No, don't bring the I'm sorry crap, anybody can say that. What you're saying is what all Christians used as an excuse to commit crimes world wide for more than 2000 yrs. So now you're saying Christians are selfish bastards then because god will forgive them all the time?
I suspect we're just going to have to agree to disagree, but there is a lot of evidence of the resurrection. I may have mentioned William Lane Craig and Ravi Zacharias. They have a lot of really good material.
Did you know there's an evidence of an existence of Yggdrasil & the root to the elven world? Did you know there's a sacred world tree in Latvia? Of course you don't believe in those religions, all religions claimed their tales are true & backed by evidences, this is not any different. As I said, the only fact is that this guy you called "Jesus" lived & died, the rest is a hoax. At the end of the day, you know evidences doesn't matter, it's how you are & how you live is.
I highly recommend you look at those. You may see something you’ve never seen before. Please consider what God has done for you, and don’t be quick to dismiss it. If you seek to believe only what you want to believe, then you will only deceive yourself. If you truly seek God, you will find God. Please don’t let such a precious gift go to waste. It would be a great tragedy.
What is there to be seen but bunch of people trying to proof what is written in paper back then is true? As I told you, Kashmir has a record your Jesus ran away to study & lived there after he died on the cross. Of course you'll discard that, so what's the point when we all will perceive & accepting it the way you want it to? Your people still trying to search for Troy & Atlantis, hilarious!
One of the many things Christians & missionaries didn't know is how they accidentally quoting other religions & claimed it's Christianity. Which is why I said your teachings don't add up. Still, my Baptist friend told me your god will take me to your afterlife kingdom anyway because your god is all loving & kind. So why bother?
Here's a side joke, pagans over here knew of this for ages, but your people just found it out & it drove you mad. S=k. log w
I see what you're saying, but there is value in this life because it is created by God. However, it is better to plan for the long term than to live for the past. It is better to give up this life for eternal life than to give up eternal life for this life. I'm not saying that you have to give up this life (following Jesus is hard, but it makes life much more fulfilling) but you can see why one is more important than the other.
So you can't provide me of how you can put up on living forever. How sad, you must grow extremely bored after a couple million years. I can imagine how your god will banish all of the followers & to start all these creation cycles all over again. Christianity isn't that "long run" as you thought it would be. I also can't imagine myself living forever either, though I have a some fear for death, but death is more merciful when you really think about it.
Now here's to the part where I don't like Christians so much, you people kept saying on how being Jesus is hard, it's not even that hard, but you only can't be that Jesus you're talking about in today's lifestyle. It is a folly of humanity who requires a figure that they can't really keep up on. For a while I behave the way Jesus, Muhammad (according to the Qur'an) & the Buddha would, don't really get much of a good feedback.
Now you may say I am not doing it right or that no humans can match those people. But remember, you said being those people is also impossible to you because they are "radically peaceful". So I say, how could you insult the person you revere but still seeing that person as a figure? So I'll say it again, it's a folly of humanity. You need a figure, but you don't act according to the figure. For the least, a pagan like me tried.
I know there are people out there who represent Christianity as bad, but that does not change what Jesus has done for us. You can't judge it by those people. You may thnk that you're a good person (and by the world's standards you probably are) but we're all still sinners. Yes, some a lot more than others, but we all still need Jesus to get to heaven and that's the bottom line. Please don't waste the priceless gift of salvation.
Now to a simple example, you ordered a seal for your papers. You gave it to your advisor to make another, but your advisor messed up the other one, so it turns out your seal & your advisor is totally different. Same case with Christianity, you have so many messed up seals, & these messed up seals are being stamped on countless of papers. So yes, it does matters & it does effect your heaven tales & such.
People who received the messed up seals are told to replicate it, some may be able to replicate that messed up seals, some might messed it up even more. Only few people like you had the seal. Imagine how your god would reject countless of Christians because they aren't "right", so to you, the way still exist, but to the majorities, they're following the wrong way, & the wrong ways are still being pointed to. A religion that is messed up is as good as dead.
So yes, it does matters because Christians themselves don't even understand or love each other as much as they claimed to be. You even told me earlier you're not fond of the Catholics that much. Christians diving among Christians, there is no such thing as "Christianity" anymore, only "Catholicism" "Protestantianism" "Pentecostism" "Puritanism" "Orthodoxism" & such. A religion within a religion, so yes, Christianity is messed up.
Also, don't bring the comparisons among yourselves up, because you'll end up using "we" "them" "we are better, they're not" "they're not us" & all sorts of we's & they's. Those words explains well on how messed up Christianity really is.
Im not worried about how I will stand living forever. Life in heaven isnt like this life. Living on Earth forever would be bad, b/c life on this Earth is so imperfect and filled with so many weary things, but heaven isnt like that. I dont know exactly how it will work but we will not get weary. We will live for eternity and enjoy every second of it b/c it will be perfect. God is capable of creating a perfect place. Please dont let such a thing keep you out of Christianity
Simple, you get a new body which strips you off feelings, and you're constantly feed on the fruit & water of life. But much of your writings suggests you're still capable of emotions but not self aware. Only 1 angel has self aware & I believe you know his name & what did your god done to him. Remember, we all have our own definition for "perfection" it doesn't matter if that heaven is "perfect". Just like communism, thought to be perfect but failed in practical way.
What I'm saying is that perfection is unattainable. It is impossible. That is why we need Jesus. We try our best to follow God's law, but ultimately it is God who must save us. I know there are a lot of different groups out there, but the important thing is to focus on Christ. He is Christianity. What people do today does not change what He did for us on the cross. Please don't let such things distract you from the most precious gift of salvation.
1 of the many things I hate about Christianity. Perfection is attainable, it depends on each & every individual's perception. For me, perfection is imperfection, as they need to rely on each other. Just like now, if there's no non Christians, you wouldn't want to be a Christian. With an existence of those aggressive atheists & other religions or pagans keeps you in that path you believe to be perfect. If we don't have this discussion, you wouldn't value your faith so dearly.
So your section of Christianity believes you need to work in heaven? See? My friend's section of Christianity believes otherwise. Mostly they believe you won't need to do anything. The only "work" I can think of is how you're just a messenger & a soldier. Then you have to answer to your other 8 superiors. Here to the question, when humanity cease to exist, all of you will lose your job. I can see your god will rage campaigns against hell just for fun.
When I say "proof of Christianity" I mean proof that there was a man named Jesus about 2000 years ago who was the Son of God and who suffered, died, and resurrected so that our sin could be forgiven and we could be reunited with God. What would you consider to be proof of that? What would cause you to convert?
Why do you want me to convert? You just told me your god will choose converts, not you, or any missionaries or priests to choose. You also said your god gave me a middle finger, why should I bow my head to an a_hole of a deity? Your teachings never adds up, only way your religion prevails is through blind faith. As for your questions, I thought I answered you before, perhaps a couple times as well? Or you're just testing me?
Why preaching or saying how god can't be understandable when the faithful & the pious like you strive to be the very thing you said we're all not supposed to be yourselves? Does that make you selfish? Also, if your god created brains for us to use, why are you trying to understand god by saying we're not suppose to use what your god gave us all in the first place? One of the reasons Christianity is a bad religion, they never try to understand, they only point & command things.
Besides, none of us is innocent. We have all done wrong. We have all chosen by own will to rebel against God, and we all deserve hell because of it, but God is so merciful that He has taken our punishment for us so that we can be forgiven and have eternal joy.
So that means, none of us will no longer going to hell no matter what we do because your god already paid for us. How does that logic even work? Also, you said your god is all loving & merciful, yet your god can't even forgive all of us & even planning to kill us all. Your god just made Hitler looks like the virgin Mary, I won't be surprised if that murderer live behind the heaven's walls. If your god is all that merciful & loving, you won't organized religion & worshipers
That's not what I said. Christians do not seek to be gods. We seek to submit to God and surrender our lives to Him. What separates Christianity is that in other religions the follower seeks to make himself right with God, but in Christianity God makes the follower right with Himself. It is solely God's work that brings about salvation.
But you said you want to lean yourself to god isn't it? But since your god is undefinable, how can you sure you're leaning properly? Which leads to why there are organized worships which brought the wonderful teachings of your religion down the drain once more.You're leaning to nothing but convinced to be something, eventually you'll fall. With ignorance you have all these years, you'll reject outside help. There's no one to blame for but you yourself.. Oh wait, there's "god"!
If "god" makes the followers "right" with "god", then how can people ever know that value of being "right"? What if other religions was right & Christianity was wrong? I think the other religions was right to make their followers seeking their gods, so they can truly understand such precious gifts their gods trying to give them. Like how you're trying to explain me of a sweet fruit, but I'll never understand how exactly sweet that fruit is. Same old stone age logic!
Every other religion says that it's our works that make us right with God, that we can earn our salvation, but only Biblical Christianity (and not the PsuedoChristian religions) says that it is entirely God who makes us right with Him. It takes the focus off of man and puts it on God, which is exactly what you would expect from a religion that is from God and not man.
So you're trying to give me a middle finger in Biblical text? If you deity decides who is supposed to be the follower, that means your god doesn't want me in the first place & wants us to engage in this conversation for all these times then? Oh right, it's a half finger because you have to remove the veil off me (Muslims defined it as such). But why would you want to do that when your god intends me not to believe in your god in the first place? Isn't that "rebel against god?"

Ahh...
Ends up with how we owe his favor. Not venerable at all
Is it just me or I smells Buddhism?
KubernetePirata 6 months ago
@KubernetePirata Of course we owe God our favor. He was willing to send His only Son to take the punishment for our sin so that we could escape the just punishment that awaited us in hell and be spend eternity joyously praising God forever. God has offered us repentance so that we may not only be saved from the punishment of the sin, but also from the sin itself. We should be infinitely thankful. Christ's sacrifice was the greatest gift ever, and it would be a great tragedy if it were wasted

@ggcage
And here I thought (backed by the missionaries) that Jesus is God, not his son. Moreover, nobody ever said God is a man, by claiming so is wrong.

Part II
Also, I don't see why cannot God take on the form of a man if He wants to. If He is truly God, then should be able to do as He wills, regardless of what mankind may think of it.

@ggcage
I think what you've just said just go against the bible
KubernetePirata 5 months ago
@KubernetePirata
Part I
I don't see how it goes it against the Bible.
The Bible says…
There is only one God. Isaiah 45:5
The Father is God. 1 Thessalonians 1:1
Jesus, the Son, is also God. Colossians 2:9 and John 20:27-29
The Holy Spirit is God. Acts 5:3-4
However, the Bible also says that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are not the same person. John 6:38 and John 14:26.

@ggcage
KubernetePirata 5 months ago
@KubernetePirata I see. However the Bible contains loads of prophecy indicating that it is from God. If it is from God, then God would be able to preserve His word regardless of how many hands it passed through. The ancient Jews were entrusted with preserving God's word, and were very serious about it. They would not have dared edit it.
Also, you say that God is "way beyond" being a person. Exactly what is you concept of God?
ggcage 5 months ago
@ggcage

Exactly what is your concept of God?
ggcage 5 months ago
@ggcage

The apocryphal gospels are not included in the Bible for a reason. They were written long after the other gospels and couldnt have been written by witnesses of Jesus' life. They also contradict the gospels that we can be certain were written by the apostles
Even if the Jews had not written any of the New Testament, that still doesn't change the fact that Jesus fulfilled all of the Old Testament prophecy regardless of who recorded His life
ggcage 5 months ago
@ggcage
KubernetePirata 5 months ago
@KubernetePirata The gospels were written by witnesses of Jesus and those who had direct contact with witnesses. The Roman Catholic Church did declare which gospels would be considered legitimate at the Council of Nicea in 325, but it was already generally accepted which books were and were not forgeries b/c it seemed obvious. All the council did was make it official. YouTube informs me of only 1 reply, but I always check for multiple comments. I'm very interested in hearing your concept of God.
ggcage 5 months ago
@ggcage
KubernetePirata 5 months ago
@ggcage
KubernetePirata 5 months ago
@KubernetePirata Let me get this straight. You say that you are pagan. What exactly does that mean? Do you believe in multiple gods? Also, you say you believe in Jesus and that these 13 gospels tell the real story of Jesus. Also, who sent Jesus and was Jesus divine, was Jesus the incarnate of a god or of God or was Jesus merely a man? Also, you say there were 3 Jesuses. Who were these other two then? Did they die for our sins? Did God have 3 Sons?
ggcage 5 months ago
@ggcage
Your relative religions (Judaism & Islam) says Jesus isn't son of God, but a man tasked by God to save us all
KubernetePirata 5 months ago
@ggcage
KubernetePirata 5 months ago
@KubernetePirata Which historians are you using, and which gospels are you using? There is a video, if you type in "Council of Nicaea myth debunked gnostic" in YouTube's search bar, then the first result, by username Knowwheretorun1984 goes into detail about the Council of Nicaea and how the apocryphal gospels were never considered to be gospels.
Also, if you don't mind my asking, earlier you mentioned missionaries, exactly what part of the world are you in and what religion do you believe?
ggcage 4 months ago
@ggcage

I'm really sorry to hear that. People do twist Christianity for their own power hungry purposes, and that is very sad. However, people twist perfectly good causes all the time. It isn't limited to religion and it doesn't change the original cause. You shouldnt judge Christianity by men who are imperfect and may or may not actually be Christians, but you should judge Christianity by Jesus Christ, who was willing take the infinite penalty for your sin on the cross
ggcage 4 months ago

Part 2
I see what you're saying, but what you have to realize is that faith is only as good as what you put your faith in. Faith in a lie is no good. The truth is not relative. The fact remains that Jesus Christ is the only name by which anybody can be saved from their sin and from the holy wrath of God, and you can't sacrifice that truth or else your faith will be in vain. Christ's sacrifice was the greatest gift ever, and it would be a great tragedy if it were wasted.
ggcage 4 months ago
@ggcage

Sure, they want the best for their "peers", but by smearing, indirect conversions, & indoctrination is not something to be grateful of. It's sickening. Jesus was a poor Jew who lived in ancient Israel. He wasnt a rich white businessman from America. I'm not asking you to believe in American culture, I'm asking you to believe in Jesus. I can understand why you don't like America, but please dont let greedy people distract you from the precious gift of salvation that God has given through Christ Jesus. I’m praying for you, that you accept Jesus and that God blesses you & your nation.

It's all sickening & I want these moronic practices to be stopped!!!!!
KubernetePirata 3 months ago
@KubernetePirata What exactly makes you thing that Christianity is "moronic"? I understand that Christians don't want to modify their beliefs, but that is to preserve God's path to salvation. God has given us one way to escape hell and get to heaven and that way is Jesus. I know it may seem like Christians are infringing on your culture, but it's only because they want what they truly believe is best for your soul. It's not about anyone's particular culture. It's about God.
ggcage 3 months ago
@ggcage
KubernetePirata 3 months ago
@KubernetePirata
Part I
The Pentecostals, Baptists, Anglicans, ect are all different denominations, but they are not different religions. They all still follow the core doctrine of Christianity that we are all hopelessly depraved sinners who need forgiveness and that Jesus died for our sin and we must accept His sacrifice to avoid hell and get to heaven. I know we don’t have perfect unity, but we are still flawed sinners.
ggcage 3 months ago
@KubernetePirata
Part II
I know Christians aren’t perfect, but that doesn't make Christianity false. The truth of Christianity depends on whether Jesus rose from the dead. It doesn't depend on how people today live. Even if every professing Christian were evil, that would not affect who Jesus Himself was. Even if every person who believed the Earth was round was evil, that would not make the Earth flat. Please don't let the flaws of sinful people distract you from the precious gift of salvation
ggcage 3 months ago
@ggcage
KubernetePirata 3 months ago
@KubernetePirata Well, I'm really sorry you feel that way, but churches almost always disagree on the nonessential issues, and whether or not they get along doesn't change the fact the Jesus died for our sin. You can't let the shortcomings of people in the church or me or anybody distract you from God. People are imperfect, but God is perfect. Jesus was perfect. He bore the infinite penalty for your sin, and nobody's actions can change that. Please don't waste such a precious gift.
ggcage 3 months ago
@ggcage
KubernetePirata 3 months ago
@KubernetePirata
Part I
I dont mind merging as long as there are no differences on essential issues. As long as people believe in that, there's no real reason why people can’t merge
ggcage 3 months ago
@KubernetePirata
Part II
We’re completely helpless and cannot save ourselves from sin and God’s punishment. Every other religion teaches people to save themselves, and to make themselves fit for God; but Christianity says that we cannot. It teaches that mankind is utterly helpless before God, and there is nothing that we can do about our condition. It is God who must save us. Christianity glorifies God, and not man. This is what you would expect from a religion that is from God, and not man.
ggcage 3 months ago
@ggcage
Part 2
This is why I don't like Christianity so much, always teaching people to be weak & helpless. The prob is, some people really DID weak & helpless from it. Instead of striving for a better life for their family (not a selfish goal), they simply get on their knees & pray. God won't give you a promotion you know, your efforts would. It just makes people don't want to solve problems but to seek help. To be honest, your relative religions also taught to be weak, but they are stronger.
KubernetePirata 3 months ago
@KubernetePirata
Part I
That's not the point that I was trying to make. I was saying that we cannot change the condition that we are sinners before God deserving His eternal wrath, and that we cannot make ourselves truly good. We cannot solve our spiritual problems. However, we should try to deal with our worldly problems as best we can. There is a saying that "God helps those who help themselves". We should seek God's help, but it is important that we do put forth our best efforts in life.
ggcage 3 months ago
@KubernetePirata
Part II
So it is that when it comes to our spiritual problems that we are helpless, but when it comes to this life we usually are not. We should seek God's guidance in our worldly problems, but we should also do what we can for ourselves and for others. If there is something that you can do about a situation, then simply saying "I'll pray about" is not the solution.
ggcage 3 months ago
@KubernetePirata
Part III
Also, Christianity is supposed to change your life. The Bible says that when we come to know Christ, our old selves die, and we are resurrected to a new life. Christianity is supposed to transform us into better people. The ultimate goal is that we become sinless and spend eternity with God. So yes, people who have been transformed by Christ will resemble Christ in their actions more than their old selves, and that's a good thing. That's a very good thing.
ggcage 3 months ago
@ggcage
You brought the common ground up, so the merge is good
KubernetePirata 3 months ago
@KubernetePirata
Part I
We should beg God, but we shouldn't just beg God. We should pray about everything because God does listen, but we should also do what we can. God has given us the ability to pursue our goals, and we ought to use that. Sometimes, our abilities are the answer to our prayers. I realize what you're saying, and unfortunately there are a lot of people who think that way, but the Bible does not advocate that sort of thinking.
ggcage 2 months ago
@KubernetePirata
Part II
For example, you should pray a better job, but God has given us the ability to work to get a better job. Sometimes the ability is the answer to our prayers. But we don’t have the ability to obtain salvation. We are all rebellious sinners. We cannot be truly good, so we are helpless when it comes to that. We all deserve hell, and there is nothing that can replace Jesus taking our punishment and us giving our lives to Him. Please don't waste the priceless gift of salvation

It does matter if Jesus resurrected. If He did then that means there is a God who is concerned enough with our sin to have died for us. We’ll be held accountable for our sin one day. The resurrection has huge implications for our lives both today and for eternity.

All religions speaks of a mystical man who did miracles, & they all based on that man & his miracles. Christianity is 1 of them, nothing is special about it.

If God created us so that we could not sin, then that would defeat the purpose of creation.
ggcage 2 months ago

KubernetePirata 2 months ago

KubernetePirata 1 month ago
@KubernetePirata
Part I
God wouldnt mess up our brains. Our brains are already messed up by sin. That is why there is so much conflict in the world. People love money and power more than they love God and that is why there is so much conflict in the world. But in heaven there is no sin. In heaven we will be what God originally intended us to be, and thus we will have what is the best for us. It may be hard to imagine a world where everyone is fully fulfilled, but with God all things are possible
ggcage 1 month ago

It’s what Lucifer did, but we have all done it too
ggcage 1 month ago
@ggcage

Its what we were created to do, and ultimately whats best for us
I'll be praying for you

Still you haven't answer how does this "eternal life" is a gift when both Christians & non Christians will also have afterlife, but different side of the wall. The age of blind faith is over, only reasons are only thing keeping people sane, & virtuous virtuous, also, your god intended all of us to be doomed by planting that tree in the first place. I still feel like the salvation is a scam. According to the Muslims, your god won't bless me.

Part I
Eternal life is a gift b/c we can spend that life in heaven.

See?
KubernetePirata 1 month ago
@KubernetePirata
Part I
Being right with God is being righteous in His sight, being fit for heaven and not being in danger of hell. Basically being innocent. If a prisoner is forgiven by a king, then he is made right with the king. Does that make the prisoner a king? No. That's the way it is. Christians seek to worship God, and be made right with God, but not to be God.
ggcage 1 month ago
@ggcage

Science also tries to understnad "God" in a more sensible sense, but that makes you said we are all "rebelling against your god", and what rights do you even have to think you can understand your deity?

God is not evil. He must punish sin b/c He is holy. If He were to simply "let sin go" w/out a punishment, then He would be eternally giving up His holiness. That is why Christ had to take our place, so that sin would still be punished.

So you said you would punish your son for a crime your son didn't even commit? So you're whipping your son just because I am not agree to Christianity? My Christian friends tried that lines already, but what you said makes it is clear on how Christianity sometimes can't answer things & ended up quoting Buddhism.

Part 3

Part 4
