  • To be a bus driver here must be nice LOL

  • what TA did that last flxy originally belong to

  • WOW! Please tell me you've got more vids from Tijuana!? !?

  • i could stand there all day, cabs are not all old chevys and fords anymore

  • like the wide white walls,, rem in my college days going to tj and take ing the bus from the border to down town tj $100 pesos like .45 cents caught the bus back some time s they where the old school bus s i miss those days

  • Was that last Flxible an L10 unit?

  • @zztee - yes. They have a lot of ex-LACMTA and San Jose VTA units down there.

  • LOL @ barious.

  • i once rode a Gillig Phantom in tijuana that said and i shit you not hayward bart on it i assume it was a former ac transit i also seen a former sam trans bus in tijuana ....

  • 0:39 sound great

  • Those 6V92 Gillig Phantoms sound great. Especially the one at 0:22.

  • that was the best part

  • I know, I can only image how that Gillig would sound if it were 8V71 powered.

  • i didnt beleve mx had flex

  • For 123jefm: Please translate this into English.

  • Tijuana uses placards bus wrap in its buses, the Gillig use Cummins as sample the 131 with wrap of Telcel and the Detroit Diesel in the 1-81 or 181 with wrap of Maseca. The Flxibles use Detroi Diesel 6 cylinders in those of 30, 35 and 40 feet, that of 8 cylinders in that of 35 feet, that is very rare to see in a Flxible Metro, therefore the New Look or Fishbowl habia a model with 8 cylinders, and in that of 40 feet that is very common, and the Cummins in that of 40 feet.

  • thats the translation

  • Which 35' and 40' Grumman Flxibles would use the 8V-71 Detroit Diesel and others with the Cummins VTB-903?

  • man thats typical. Ive seen some people try that on this side of the border.

  • Nice! Funny that that old guy was bording that Gillig Phantom while it was moving.

  • What about the ex-COTA Grummans with their V903 Cumminses?

Does Tijuana still have any Flyer D900s with the V903 Cummins?

  • last time I was there, I saw one D900 down in the Central Tijuana area

  • What happend to the GM Fishbowl and Flxible New Looks Tijuana used to have? I saw them about 20 yrs ago. Great classics. They used to have older buses like the one at 1:09 with exhaust tips coming out the back end. Those were loud like they had cherry bomb mufflers. Sad thing was lots of them had cracked windows broken by vandals. Cool seeing those buses, thank you for uploading your video.

  • Listen to that Gillig at 23 seconds

  • in addiiton to all the Smoke coming out. That was the best part.

  • It would of been good if the transit agencies that used to own the buses would of left the electric headsign on them. Its kinda confusing taking buses in Mexico.

  • Tell you what that second Gillig bus with the fleet #131 has one of the coolest Cummins engine sounds I've heard from a Gillig bus as for the Flxible buses true some are ex LA buses but the ones with the sliding windows look to be ex VTA or ex Trimet buses.

  • I bet you move there lol..I wouldnt be suprised!Man,that would awesome if oc would get creative with its fleet like these guys!

  • some of those Flxibles down there were ex LA Metro 2500/2600/2700s. I was happy they left the original Cummins L10 in there. Everything smoke down there. Seems like they removed the particulate filters lol. they run better without them. OCTA and MTA sould do the same thing to their buses

  • man coming to think of it, Id be happy everyday driving that. Those buses are just pimped out. Everything from the steering wheel to the upholsery

  • "Wow" they got a little bit of everything from school buses to city buses running down there in Tijuana Mexico yes all of those good city buses our cities used to have a couple of years ago thanks for the great video.

  • Good Job man!!

Those gilligs were awesome, damn i wish i could take a ride in one

  • yes they were really cool. The flexibles were pimped out

  • tijuana looks like Puerto Rico alot with those North American buses

  • lol yes they sure do. to ride the best equipment, one must travel outside the US borders

  • There is a lot of Flexibles and Gilligs on Tijuana. Ive also seen some GMC-TMC RTS on the San Ysidro crossing. Those RTS are painted red and they say Mexicoach, I think those are tour buses.

Mexico is improving in their transit systems. In Leon, Guanajuato and in Mexico City they have BRT systems with articulated buses.
