Touching the book is not fully silly it's a good an evil thing So With the charmed ones book of shadows it protects it self from basic evil and lets good touch it and Paige friend glen was good from what i remember but please remember that

anything can be manipulated and if the right evil and the right time and more comes together they can break / trick the book and more into makeing it think

evil is good and so on.
