I actually like seeing Henry V in different dressings (medieval, WW1, WW2, Modern) but this speech has to be something strong and gentle at the same time.
If you present the speech alone then your voice needs to remain strong even when you are being gentle and showing the light in your words. It then also needs to stir the blood.
Whilst the voice of the actor in this was far too weak for the part what was worse was the people around him standing around like parts of the set. Unforgiveable
The music is more than a little off-colour for most of the speech. Sounds like a touching moment in a sitcom. Your delivery isn't awful or careless, in my opinion, so much as it is spastic -- almost unstable. Pacing, pacing, pacing. In any case, kudos for the enthusiasm and the frequent attempts to connect with your men (listless and awkward may their responses have been).
you're crazy... this kid has acting chops all day and night - better, I dare say , than branagh, who really comes across quite fey... what is this kid's name? I'm gonna keep an eye out for him..
NAY YOU FIEND!! lolz, i love branagh and i seriously do not think this guy is better then him..yet, who knows? with a few years in school and perfecting his technique, he could be great. I do believe this rendition was better then most high-schoolers, but please...it is NOT better then branagh..
well that was awfull voicework, he put no effort in it and really does not have the voice for it but i gotta give him credit for not screwing up his lines :)
why are they in ww2 and ww1 gear when this is supposed to be set in medieval times at the battle of agincourt.
i mean its a well done but r u trying to re-enact the ww2 band of brothers films, they were based on what happened to the 101st airborne easy company 506. they were ww2 and if u watch it the only person who ever said this was lipton in his interview.
yes. henry V is the book that gave the band of brothers/ crispin day speech beautiful isnt it? the book is based on the 12th century agincourt battle. i do admit i quite enjoyed this well done. it looked good. did u use cut out cardboards of replica dry fire weapons for this. just wondering. ok thanks for the info.
ok you going to have to tell me about agincourt i may do re-enactment but im not a genius when it comes to medieval history. ask me bout the last two centuries of warfare and i kno quite a bit but medieval no.
i am a battle re-enactor i do zulu wars and saxon era. i do some really good events. but i dont study the period medieval i just fight in it. get my ass kicked half the time, the only times i win is when i use my weight and shield to push forwards and throw people off their gaurd. so i cant talk about the history i just love the play by shakespeare.

Have you Seen Branagh's performance, it's magnificent! This isn't as good, but Branagh is considered one of the best.

Where's the passion, the understanding? Poor performance, not worthy of the great bard!

It is Shakespeare who mentioned a 'band of brothers' in THIS play - the tv series was centuries later.
Many plays are 'updated' to modern dress or clothing the audience can identify with - hence C20tn Army uniforms.

Er, sorry, but the Battle of Agincourt was in the year 1415, which was the 15th century, not the 12th. You were close though =D

I probably know more about medieval history than I do about the last hundred years!

I love Shakespeare books, especially his school textbooks and that series of murder mystery novelettes. The comic books were a bit poor tbh.

Shakespeare did not write books, he wrote plays.
