The point he makes is a good one. I too have traveled abroad and it is impossible to understand the way in witch the rest of the world perceives us as a country if you have not left the US since 9/11. It may be too late to turn around young fundamentalist muslims, but we can make amends if we show we are committed. People in other countries simply have no way of knowing that the majority of Americans are fed up with the arrogance and criminal behavior of the Bush/Cheney administration.
HELLO?? HOW did the Bush Administration end up in Washington to begin with?
HE WAS VOTED IN BY THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!How many of you are registered voters?Like it or not, those who WE choose to represent US, will be making the decisions. PERIOD! Why not take positive stance, instead, and work on someone's campaign?Someone who represents your values and in whom you can place your trust.Only then can WE bring about change.

Mark is another Sean Penn....getting out there and speaking the truth. I was at the Chicago rally...the mainstream media of course "fudged" with the amount of people there. The Tribune said 5,000...the march organizers said 30,000 but it was probably somewhere in between.
The position of the anti-war movement is to keep it peaceful ala Ghandi or MLK. I wish we could mobilize more people but most don't know the marches are happening. The media won't run the ads and then don't report the marches took place. YOU WILL SEE LOTS OF COVERAGE ON DRIBBLY CELEBRITY PUFF.
I just read there were 20,000 in Los Angeles. (Not 10,000 as I mentioned before.)
I live in Sacramento and went to the SF demonstration. It made all the network news TV stations in Sacramento, but our daily newspaper on Sunday refused to print even one line of news about the 11 cities that demonstrated - I did a rough count and nationwide it must have been over 150,000 who demonstrated 9/15 100,000 marched in DC and it was censored from news OJ's bust & Emmy awards got coverage
Thank you. I cannot watch primetime evening news anymore because it makes me so angry. They cover one story after another of car chase accidents, killings, shootings and repeat and repeat sound bites and then when they finally get to the story they say nothing more than what was repeated 20 times or so already. REAL NEWS HAS BEEN CANCELED.
I salute you, Mark Ruffollo, Charlie Sheen proved that you could speak truth to power and still have the #1 sitcom in America. Its not carreer suicide to state the obvious. Ron Paul forever!
It's always nice to find a good actor with great political views. While I was at this protest, I did not see Mark speak, so it is great to hear it here. I did; however, get a chance to talk to Martin Sheen and Mike Farrell while I was there. Thanks for the posting, and keep up the good fight.
I LOVE THAT MAN..... :)

Well actually he stole the elections... That is pretty much common knowledge.
Hitler was also "voted" into power. What the hell does that prove?
George Bush is a war criminal, he has defied international law.

Well now, you completely missed the point.
Once again..........

I watched Mark Ruffalo give this speech right from about the same viewpoint as this video. I have a new love. GREAT PASSION AND MESSAGE.
I did not see any news reports that there were maybe 10,000 people at this event, how about you?
