@GriftingGriff - Classic example of the result from NOT working a WORKING dog. Herding dogs are bred for athleticism, smarts, and are designed to put in a full day's work. Sporting/working breeds MUST get a ton of exercise on a daily basis, or they become destructive, obese, develop anxieties and I've even seen some of them die as a result of "soothing or Comfort licking". Their paws became raw and infected , I knew one who had an open wound down to the bone and died as a result :(
