  • 1:58 ill give him that that hairpin was just sexy and his car still looks better then others

  • hercegova00@ He actually has raced 1 year in pwrc and 2 years wrc hes won the 100 acre woods 5 times in a row

  • It's nice to know that for all the hype surrounding him, he knows when he's in the company of great drivers and he has no problem showing real humility. My hat is off to him.

  • what did he answer to the last question?

  • 8 points in 4 years of rallying in WRC ? This dude is below average and don't say oooo have youuu seen his cool videos...well f u, every good driver can do them. Just not that great actually very bad when racing in a big boys league :D

  • Kto z Polski łapeczka ;>

    Jednoczmy się ;) ;) ;p

  • So we have an American in the WRC, but yet it's not televised state side, what a bunch of shit...

  • @2008PowerStrokeF450 It is getting more popular in the states I think, I mean Rally America has been getting gradually bigger if I'm not mistaken...? I dunno, I don't live in the States so I'm not sure :)

  • tSturaz@ Give the guy a Break 1 Hes only done 2 Years of wrc the other two Jwrc Secondly Hes not a dickhead unlike some 3rd Hes a crowd pleaser and a nice guy

  • *FACEPALM* Ken Block is 43 but good for him.

  • Every time American racing drivers are mentioned this guy is always there as some kind of phenomenon. Mentioning this flop as a world class driver is the same as trying to rate Evil Kenevil next to Valentino Rossi or Noel Hunt next to Tiger Woods. He's never won, come second, even managed a podium, he's scored a miserable 2 points in 4 years in WRC.

And saying he's good for marketing, come on. That's like saying Katie Price is an amazing singer for the same reason.

  • hes 44 lmao the top comment did a misclick or some shit

  • 55 WHAAAT???? i tought hes like 33 lol

  • check my gymkhana out at mr43newy

  • He looks awfully young for being 43

  • Ken block is next level!!

  • I have more and more respect for this guy. Whether or not he's "teh greatest out there lolololorz" is irrelevant. He doesn't come off as cocky, and like @azarel7 said, he's just doing what he loves. I'd certainly buy him a beer, and face it, he drives better than you.

  • ken from the block! i actualy liked this guy after i saw this and realised that he's quite humble about the whole wrc thing.

  • what is his retarded rapper

  • ITT: People from Europe bashing possibly one of the lowest seeded Rally drivers in WRC by comparing him to Loeb. Come on people, this guy brought millions of American people into the Rally Car world with his Gymkhana video. Shouldn't you like people who make the stuff you like more popular? Stop comparing him to Loeb, its like comparing a person who just qualified for the Swimming Olympics and saying he sucks and ain't got nothin on Michael Phelps.

  • THat car is beautiful

  • 1:30 guy in background nearly trips.

  • modest? meet him. hes a douchebag . that flat brimmed hat stereotype is true

  • this model of the focus looks 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times better than the new one

  • @blakenorco xD that's not Focus...he drives Ford Fiesta...

  • @Coyote3103 no, it's a Focus... in 2010 he drove a Ford Focus, now he drive the Fiesta

  • @Coyote3103 but this one is a focus

  • @DarkWingTDR I thought this was Fiesta...but anyway i like it...

  • give him 2-3 years and loeb will bite the dust

  • @112leo

Nah, Ken block wont get anywhere near Loeb.

He isn't a bad driver, but when it comes to high end rallying, it takes a lot more!

  • gotta love high compression 4 cyl's that have enough torque to cause another earthquake

  • Ken go big on WRC wanna see all those people talking shiet quiet for a bit !!!!

  • I always though it'd be cool if he actually drove an American car (that Focus is not an American car to me, even though it's a Ford)

  • @GuardianOfTrash wich car then, if not a focus? muscle car? lol

  • @bltnxkrw a Ford Mustang is American, not a Focus. A Ford Focus Euro spec is a British car built in Germany, it has nothing to do with American Ford...

  • @SurroundEdByFreaks91 ok then what american car would you like to see in wrc? cuz i cant imagine any other.

  • @bltnxkrw I have no idea, I'm not American... but I don't think there are many cars on the American market good for WRC... the only American thing in WRC is Team Monster of Ken Block, hopefully it will raise some interest on WRC in USA, but it will be anyway difficult...

  • @bltnxkrw i know the Focus is the most logical choice but c'mon a rally-prepared dodge avenger or something like that would be totally cool (of course rally would have to be popular in the US for that, but I like the idea of it)

  • He talk like a cotorep

  • Here in the USA, Ken Block and Travis Pastrana, are our most recognized talent. ( Well ,Travis is now gone left rally ..) Sadly, though I have been following rally since back in 1980, it does not have the following that occurs overseas. I met Ken and he seems like a great person. We actually talked about Rally GB back in February. If there is anything I can say I have heard constantly about rally ,throughout all the years, it is that it takes: experience. You must start somewhere and keep at it.

  • Fantastic person! I've met him on rally GB last saturday morning, he was joking with everybody, signing autographs and posing to the pictures like ordinary person, you just can't not like this guy. Americans should be proud of him.

  • he knows he's got a lot of growing to do but he's definitely training so he's on the right path. u can't get into WRC and expect to be finishing or even placing in your first seasons. its probably the hardest racing sport next to indy and formula.

  • Ken Block is not overrated. He's just good at marketing. Ken makes you know his name. and as for all the shit talkers on here, watch 1:50 then go do that. if you cant then stfu.

  • @DiddledOnce Go watch a Galli, Burns or Solberg video and then tell me that 1:50 is anything special.

  • @DiddledOnce its not ken block most of hate, its the 14 year old faggot skater kids who think they know everything about cars who try to relate to him

  • @DiddledOnce oh wow, at 1:50 that was truly unbelievable, lol.

  • i have his shoes (:

  • ya i think he should still be in a subaru. i like how kens down to earth, unlike travis pastrana, travis thinks hes good at everything and he mite be in a alot of things, but not rally haha ive seen him race and its pretty pathetic, travis couldnt hang in WRC for very long

  • So, he´s good....but he would show more talent at Subaru!

  • @ulissesmarcel and where do u c a subaru at wrc? nowhere. it's a great choice to pick a focus. and believe me, these guys know way better which car is better than you do.

  • @bele77 I see that man, but The subaru team believed in ken and just for "money" he jumped out from the most taditional rally brand ever. Now, talking about Ford X Subaru, How many people that own one would change a Subaru for other make? NOBODY ! I live in Brazil and I drive a 96 Impreza. I wouldn´t change for a brand new Fiesta, I swear. And if you ever drive a AWD, you´ll understand what I´m talking about!!! By the way, what do you drive? Mom´s Prius??rsrs

  • @ulissesmarcel ford cars in wrc aren't only fwd or rwd, they're all AWD. even here shows your lack of knowledge in wrc. even new ford focus rs has proven better performance than new impreza wrx sti or lancer evo. but if you really want a good performance car of the same year your impreza is made, then you should look at ford escort rs cosworth, which is still even now one of the best cars ever made. besides impreza and fiesta are in totally different rank, you can't compare them. i own a m3 '03.

  • @bele77 Well, Ford cars are prepared AWD do get in the rallys, subarus......NO!!! Stock AWD! When I talk about subaru I say to USE the car day by day, if you compare ford to subaru sorry, you just seat behind the stering weel and drive. You don´t understand about "cars". Probably you have to get a stock prepared car cause you don´t have any idea what´s get some ups, and you said that they know better then me, probably, but not you!

  • @ulissesmarcel what, and you think that subaru's awd is not modified for wrc? you are an optimist. and tell me, which car is that you don't sit behind the wheel and drive? so your subaru is supposed to...fly?and let me ylear it up for since you don't understand... THEY know A LOT MORE than you do which car is better for WRC, especially for THEM. besides escort cosworth the same make year as your subaru can also be bought for day by day use, and it is still a better car than yours.

  • @bele77 You never understand what I say, that´s bad...but let me explain again...Focus, Fiesta are NOT AWD and when I say thay subaru are not AWD prepared (please, check last post) I say " FOR DAY BY DAY USE!" When I say you just sit behind the weel and drive, that means you don´t know shit about cars, and keep looking for other people´s opinion on youtube to reply with your arrogance and lack of knoledge. So next time you make some comments about other people´s opinion, make sure you know....

  • @ulissesmarcel you are wierd. i really don't know what you want to prove with this so-called subaru's awd. we are talking here about WRC!! dooooh. but still like i said, for instance rs cosworth also has a awd. besides even awd doesn't help impreza if the focus has better performance even with only fwd. which is kinda shame for subaru, isn't it? and let me that your response was first arrogant, i just that they obviously know better than you do which car is better for wrc.

  • @bele77 Am I arguing about which car is better with a person who not even been to a rally race and have never had something close to that....sorry, I stop here...

  • @ulissesmarcel you are right. you are an idiot. and actually i have been racing in my times, that's why i am saying this stuff to some amateur.

  • @bele77 Well, that`s what you say, but computers accept everything...so you might as well say you are a plane pilot and it would accept. I`d like to see some photos of you during this races. If you don`t have them, I think you are just trying to be someone you are not, and that`s bad! Your mama should have probably told you this, so, you have the chance to prove you are a real man....take it, send me a video, could be a simple one, just to show everybody you are not a looser!! DO IT! DO IT!

  • @ulissesmarcel i do not need and i do not want to brag and prove to anyone who or what i am. like on the other hand you have already proven to be an idiot with your wannabe intelligent insult, just like you know my mama what she just to told me. you are really one fuckin' weird dude. besides if you are "mr. know-it-all", how can you say something like you said in your first post, that ken would be definitly better with subaru? i mean really, how can u say something like that to be sure about it?

  • @bele77 Well, you i´ve got to admit you kind of lost the meaning here...and besides all that, I had made a simple comment cause I got my car and started to like gymkhana because of Ken and he was at Subaru, That was just a opinion! You had no right to say what you said! and you with your "knowledge" about racing and rally disagreed in a very impolite way....

  • @ulissesmarcel So you got what you deserved , and next time you dislike someone´s opinion, just keep it to yourself. Or have enough guts to stand up for yourself with plausible arguments. You won´t probably like what I said, but honestly man, you gotta take that as a lesson learned and grow old wiser. Peace bro...

  • Pedal to the metal and the rubber on the road !

  • Oh, I haven't seen the vidoe yet. Now I have. And I was there, check my Video. And I have a signed CAP! :) Thank you mr. Block and it was a great rally from you! Go ´Mr. Block! :)

  • I still cant believe he is 42 years old

  • @YoungBlood313 42 and just coming to first WRC's, he is so late....

  • Hes definately got the best looking car in WRC ! its a start lol, im sure in a few years he will be great

  • @327yellow

9th overall, 10th overall, shit on it. If one is in 5th pos. and 8 Minutes behind the first it is as bad as he would be in 10th and 8 Minutes behind the first. For a comparison to the others the Times are more important than the position.

Don't missunderstand me, i realy respect him and he is doing well. But he is overrated by so much people, too.

  • He looks very slow during that testing he has alot of work to do if he plans on getting any points this year

  • really hope he'll still be in wrc next year

  • Ken's a champ, he'll do nothing but improve himself in WRC.

  • I am impressed with his modesty .

  • Intelligent, modest. I respect him!!! It's impossible not to like such driver. :)

  • This guys is ok, but he don't know a shit about WRC (rally)!

  • He's forty two

  • Fantastic pilot O.O

  • I like his modesty

  • lol @ "funnest day"

lol @ Getting coaching from Jari Crashi

  • I can't understand why people are comparing him to Loeb, McCrae and spouting all the negativity that he's too old etc. First off, he never said he was better than anyone else, all he said is that he has loads to learn. What's wrong with that? Secondly, if I were 55 and my dream was to drive in WRC and I got the opportunity I would take it. You live once. Let him race. Whether he wins or loses has nothing to do with any of us...

  • @azarel7 Thank you for saying that. I'm sick of all these Ken Block haters!

  • @azarel7 Your comment made me check his age, wow I never knew he was 42. He looks so young!

  • @mrjost55

Yeah he does look young for sure. He must live a happy life...i guess if i were doing what I loved and getting paid for it I'd be happy too!

  • @azarel7 Uhhh you're actually completely right. So many people hate Ken Block in WRC but based on this video I dont see an ego, I dont see a self-righteous ass who thinks he should be handed everything. He says he's goal for WRC is finishing. Honestly, he seems like quite a nice guy from the video and he seems to know his own limits and willing to learn. There's actually plenty of great drivers that might learn a thing or two from Block's good attitude.

  • @azarel7

    why 55 years?

ken block is around 45,i think?

  • @Therealguy78666

That was just an exaggeration on my part.i was saying if I myself was 55 and I got the chance to live out my own dream I would take it. No matter how old I was if I could still compete safely, i would take the chance.I'm sure many of us would as well so I was asking why hate on Block who is younger as you pointed out and is taking hold of a chance that many of us would love to have

If i could rally with the best in the world i would expect to come last but i would still do it.

  • @azarel7 55? what the fuck are you talking about, Ken block is 43 you dick, and hes not cut out for WRC, the reason people give him so much shit is because all his american fans bum him, saying hes the best at this and that and then when he actually comes into the adult racing world (Europe racing scene) he gets creamed day in day out, Proving our point that americans are shit at REAL racing, Go look at F1 and WRC history, Europeans dominate.

  • @x420Raptor1

    1) If you read the comment carefully you would understand that I meant myself. I was exaggerating the age on purpose

2)Judge the man by his words, not his fans. He says plainly that he has alot to learn, he never ever said he was the best.

3)I couldn't care less if he was American or European. The point is the man got a chance to live a dream job. If he sucks or not, how does it really affect you?

    4) Grow up

  • @azarel7 lol he isn't 55

  • @colenbrak

I meant myself...suppose I were 55, if i were that "old" and i had the chance to live my dream safely...i would do it...

  • @azarel7 He's 43 not 55. Just saying.

  • @paaaatrika

i know he isn't, I actually meant myself...suppose I were 55 or 60 or whatever...if I had the chance to live my dream safely...i would do it...

  • @paaaatrika Ah, my mistake!

  • @azarel7

Guys I know he isn't 55...i was exaggerating to emphasize that no matter your age, if an opportunity to do something that you love makes itself available, and you can do it safely, do it...I was saying that if i myself were that "old" and I had a chance to live out a dream, like play Wimbledon or race a formula 1 car and I knew I could do it safely, I would do it...I wouldn't let age play a factor..that's why I'm saying Block is a lucky guy, win or lose in WRC. He's living a dream..

  • Comment removed

  • @azarel7 Who the hell is 55? KB is like 43.

  • @frankovich213

l know that....it was an exaggeration on purpose, basically if I were an old man but could still live a dream safely i would do it..so why not Block or anyone else...

  • @azarel7 lol My bad. I agree.

  • @azarel7 Maybe just because he's got the wrc place, when there is bunch of people better than him, driving all years on IRC, local rallyes and so on. And then comes block who has no clue.

  • @qettyz

He probably knows that and that's why he's so humble...if you were approached by a team who offered to train you in rallying and it was your dream to do it for awhile, would you really say..."No, I'm not good enough, let someone else do it". Would you really turn it down?

  • Comment removed

  • @azarel7 it's Block who approached Ford, not the opposite.

  • @SurroundEdByFreaks

Wow...That makes it even more interesting. Takes guts to approach a major company and ask if you could rally their cars and you're a complete newbie to WRC...chasing your dream yes..thanks for the info

  • @ausdave555 the difference between the arms on ken and chris driving just shows you how much of a difference there is between a good amature which block is and a true WRC driver

  • @biggestsubiefan98 Subaru only have 3 world titles the last been 5 years ago and the other 2 been won by the two best drivers of the past 20 years Lancia Ford Audi Peugeot and Mitsubishi have won more driver and manufactures Championships, yes they are a famous team but by no means an extrermely succesfull team and yes ford are a huge company but its bp and cosworth who run the teams and come to ireland and see what people want to see rally a olc ford or a new Subaru 9 out 10 will say ford

  • I think kenny knows exactly who and where he is. He doens´t lift his self to high. and he knows good enough who he´s dealing with!!! and that makes him very sympathetic.

  • He is not the best driver but he is the most entertaining driver :)

  • Ken Block is my all time HERO!!!

  • At least he's a humble guy.

  • ken block aint got shit on loeb at wrc

  • @02danhaz got that right.... for now ;) i mean give him credit for all hes done and hell probly learn pretty fast

  • Why is Ken Block being compared to Colin Mcrae, they aren't even on the same planet when it comes to driving rally cars.Colin has battled the best and beaten them at the top of the game.Driving Xgames and the WRC are night and day. There is no one in the WRC like Colin when he is fighting back or if you have just a slim margin to victory over him.Doing donuts and sliding around in open spaces is like walking for these guys at the top level of the WRC.

  • @keeturbo

so true! You made me think of Colins "Mad Max Day"

  • Mad skills block, ur mah fav deffo, just keep up with the ambition and drive u have ryt now to become a future number 1. U have what it takes no doubt!!

  • @Alihappychappy future no.1? he has no chance of ever becoming no1 at WRC he is older than most of the driver has been driving a rally car for decades less than the rest and cant compete at JWRC level let alone WRC he should stick to rally america i cant wait until next year and to see if he shows to the rally in ireland where he will be kicked about the place by the local boys

  • look at me

  • for the first time following his career, i don't quite hate wanting to wear a DC Monster KB shirt. He's showing some potential and willingness to learn. I just wish the kids around school could see him for what he's doing, not just the fact that his shirt says Monster and DC on it.

  • @people regarding subaru to ford

subaru dropped out of the wrc so he went to ford.

And it's hardly a downgrade, ford are at the very least on par with subaru..

Ken blocks driving style is alot like colin mcraes, "if in doubt, flat out" he certainly crashes about as much,

1 championship and he's basically the same on paper.

  • @blucrave Mcrae is a fucking legend

I would love for an american to be remembered the way he is

  • @blucrave Colin McRae ffs, you better show some respect for the man. Comparing

Ken Block to Colin indicates a serious problem in the head.

  • better do ur homework kiddo...all the fans support u....just take lesson from the pros like loeb or gronholmm. This ain't X-Games, this is the real racing against the pros.

Keep up the good work...show us how good american racing driver against the europe best. U can do it dude.

  • Seriously, go watch some Sebastian Loeb videos, you'll get what i'm on about, they make Kenny boy look like a learner! Loeb is 7 times World Champion now :)

  • @D41H4T5U He looks like a learner because he is exactly that.

If you didn't get it - Gymkhana is just a very very good commercial for a shoe company, that this guy built from scratch.

Better last in WRC than being first on the PlayStation if you ask me :)

And if you ask me - I don't like Loeb's driving style - he pushes only when in danger for the win. Colin McRea was mutch better "If in doubt - flat out" :D

  • Hey, Daihatsu, I used to drive one of those ;) important to be in the right gear for a car like that. Rally cars have such massive and consistent torque bands (plus antilag) i wouldn't have thought correct gear selection was such an issue. I've seen the solbergs do whole stages in 5/6th. With that much power foot right down = bad idea (instability)

  • Ken Block, ahahahah No driver in this video. ULTIMOOO

  • I like how this guy talks like he knows what he is saying. Ken is noobish........if he were he wouldn't even be given a chance. Before you say stupid ass shit like he is letting off early at least know what your talking about. He is on pace and doing ok for first ever go at WRC. Bad luck is usually how your first time goes in motor sports. He do Hollywood but I would like to see you do those stunts in 5 or less tries and some times 1.

  • Ken's a modest guy. Thumbs up. He's got a long way to go but least he's out there doing it. Looking forward to that stage win (few years. probably. but still awesome.)

  • @ausdave555 he has a long way to go and is too old

  • @doyla10101001 good point. And he may not appreciate the strenuous fitness regime alot of professional drivers keep up. Think Chris Atkinson

  • if they ever get that ford to not fail, he would have wrc points

  • Ken makes very noobish mistakes, he's currently last in the rally. Nice one...

Typical American driver i guess, stick to the highly edited, highly practised Hollywood bullcrap hey Ken?

  • @D41H4T5U TYPICAL AMERICAN HEH

More like you're a typical intolerant obnoxious youtube commentator.

and before you say anything, no I'm not some dumb fat American, infact, I'm not American a tall.

  • @devilselbow So am i not allowed an opinion? Even i can see, he's changing gear too early, he exits pretty much all the bends in the wrong gear, his corner posistioning is terrible and he's easing off the throttle too often, you don't do that in rallying, you change down and keep your foot down. He needs lots and lots of practise...

  • @D41H4T5U

Maybe you should go show him how its done...

  • @D41H4T5U

Your opinion on "typical American" anything is incomprehensibly moronic. Just my opinion.

  • perfect driving skills

  • Go Ken!

  • Pureracing what is your problem? Why are you so disrespectful? Ken Block is very good, maybe not top ten at this moment, but who cares? This is his first time ever in WRC!The guy basically sponsor himself,he is living his dream doing what he loves!Real cool guy, never brags about himself .So far he did more than anybody else to bring WRC to America. Can you do better than him?If not just shut up!

  • I'm glad Ken's doing a favor by increasing the popularity of the sport. He may not have the results, but I'd definitely thank him for making me a HUGE fan to rallying!

  • anyone else notice how many times ken block has crashed out lately? or is that just me? i mean come on, the guy even spins out during a test run, the point of a test run is to not go 100% and jack the car up. clearly he should just still to gymkhana

  • @Plummer92906 Practice makes better man, can't expect him to get out there in his first season ever and be as good as... anyone. I'm just glad he's out there trying :D GO KEN!

  • @Plummer92906 dont you know that in test runs you should go 100% to know if the cars setting is already acceptable for the tarmac? almost everyone spins more alot in there test runs not in the actual race. clearly you have no idea of racing :D GO KEN

  • @dawg1012 haha no you dont go 100% yeah maybe on the straits but not in the corners. i do know what im talking about because im involved with off road racing so i have an idea guy. and i have never seen anyone spin out in a practice session before, KB shouldnt have gone to WRC this soon, i agree with him going to get rally big in america but with him switching to ford then going into wrc right away was a bad decision should have had more seat time in the car rather than going out and doing this

  • Ken Block may not be the best, but I like the fact that he is educating many of his fans about rallying (this channel for example). Hopefully all the X Games fans will appreciate true rallying one day thanks to Ken. He is popularising Rally which is great! Same with Kimi Raikonen (even though he is much less err... vocal)

  • This happened on my birthday :D

  • fair play to the kid!!!

  • verdammt gut ^^

  • Block is SHIT

please return in USA to make your drift videos

the WRC is not cinema, it's the real racing, not for you !!!!

  • @ThePureracing OH K YOU DO IT BUDDY!

  • @xMonsterKx125 no but Sebastien Loeb can DO IT !

  • Well he's doing good for a WRC tarmac newbie. 9th overall after day 2! But if he's looking for a good tarmac coach, he should get the Panizzi brothers or Markko Martin.

  • I have the utmost respect for Ken Block for making it to WRC in his 40s, having started at a very late age. European drivers do bring it to a completely new level, especially when it comes to going balls at places normal person's heart would start skipping beats. Top 10 is very respectable. Wish you the best.

  • DiRT 2 ftw xD

  • Obviously Block is a fantastic driver... but there's a skill set to international rallying that takes even the best racing drivers years to acquire.

Like he said, give him a couple of years and he will be winning rallies.

  • block is so slowly shit!!!!!

  • he has not crashed yet ?

  • Ken Block drives a Focus for the WRC but for other events its is Fiesta.

  • such a nice car,

  • @melis1987d you sound really angry...you wanna talk about it?

  • @PotatoMajor hes right. he drives a ford EWW!

  • Block o Brasil te adora brother.

  • he needs to stick to gymkhana.... he's not made for WRC

  • perfert

  • Block is a really down to earth bloke. He is an excellent driver who is set to prove himself against the likes of Loeb, Hirvonen, and Latvala, all of which i have seen both in rallies and out of the seat. If Block has a learning curve anywhere near the likes of Tommi (and with the 'monster' financial backing) he will excell, because as we found out with Lancia and the delta, the team, and initiative has a lot to do with it.

  • thats a fucking focus not a fiesta, idiots
