They were like us. They had plans and dreams. You step left, you get cancer. Step right, a madman shoots you down. That's death. So remember their lives. Beautiful song, beautiful video. Thank you.
I am from Virginia! Matthew Gwaltney graduated from my high school! Thomas Dale High School has had SEVERAL students graduate from Virginia Tech! I know they would want me to say they will always miss you! RIP MATTHEW AND ALL 31 OTHERS
He was in my 2001 h.s. graduating class. I met him when I moved to Virginia near the end of the 4th grade year. We got into a fistfight a few weeks later, but quickly made amends and always treated each other respectfully after that. We went through middle school and high school together, remaining buddies. Matt Gwaltney had near limitless potential - he was a great athlete, student, and friend. He had a great sense of humor and I know he's forgiven Cho - regardless of such a disgusting act.
I weep for the loss of all these people, especially the young. I am 75 and I know how much they could have given to the world and how much they have been cheated from enjoying. My deepest sympathy to their families and to all their friends. The passage of time helps but the hurt does remain.
0:10 hahahhahahaha ill forget...i forget everything because im brainwashed and the gov beams voices in my head makeing it impossible to remember stuff all the time.
I say fuck all 32 of 'em.. Human beings fucking suck. Period. Fuck you, and all your damn social hierarchies, exclusion methods, and harmful intentions. I've been where this motherfucker has been. Isolated, rejected, no friends, bullied, beaten up, and to this day, alone. Every time I hear about one of these brats getting their face peeled off by a Glock, is a joyful time for me in which I have a big fucking smile on my face.
People that plan to do things illegally with weapons will always have a way to get them. You put more laws on people and you merely take the weapons from the law-abiding citizen allowing bastards like cho to do this.
Cho is one out of a billion and it seems kind of funny when he killed 32 innocent people. These events don't occur very often and it surprises the world when it does occur. This is worse than the columbine high school massacre. You handle bullies with your fists and get friends to attack them. Using guns will only destroy urself
to see that he took his precious ass time to kill 32 beautiful ppl that could have offerred alot to the world, is horrible in itself! He wasnt too sick to just stand there and do it and then those videos he made....dont get me started! NOBODY'S ONE SIN IS GREATER OR LESSER THAN SOMEONE ELSE'S. MURDER DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM!IT JUST DIGS A DEEPER HOLE TO HELL FOR HIM!...I'm so saddened by this! :(
Fucking Burn in Hell Cho, NO one here deserved to die. To think one person could take Multiple INNOCENT lives just because he was TEASED...This is why we should get along with everybody and help to stop violence, then shit like this wont occur. May you all R.I.P
i kno this was two years ago but they're familys still have lost a son or daughter niece or nepew grandchild father or mother and cousin and my heart still go out to there familys becuase i kno how it feel to lose someone this crazy way even the the young man that did this crime is gone also but justice has not been served but GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND THE KILLER FAMILY may all the victims rest in peace and my there familys live in peace
sigur ros is not from china faggot even cho? cho was the reason they even were victims that dumb korean bitch could of put himself out of his own shitty life just cause his life was shit doesnt mean he has to end others who have something to live for
@ebos89 Why do people like you have to be such asses??? Thats probably why he fucking did it!! because nobody cared about him nor did they offer to help him.. I really do fucking wish somebody will waste your fucking ass maybe that will leave one less arrogant idiot out of this world...
My cousin lost his live in Virginia Tech and I thank you for making this video. It does mean a lot! He will be rembered as well as the rest of the victims.
This happened nearly 3 years ago and the incident still gets to me. I'm the same age (19) as or a little older than many of the victims when I should be the youngest had they continued living and growing older. It's just sad. Makes me put things into perspective and appreciate the life I have.
And the legalization of guns in schools is a good idea think abount it If a person at Va tech had had a defense gun they could have blown that shooter back into histroy and the outcome would have been much better
watching this makes me so sad i grew up with jarret as a close friend i was devistated when i heard the news it still brings me too tears we all love and miss you jarret lee lane
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten CHO SEUNG HUI, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jesus was NOT a Jew you fuckers! And he wasn't black as well you dumb Spooks. Jesus was Korean! Jesus was CHO! The book of Revelations and Acts said that Jesus would return in the Second Coming! And Jesus did return in the form of CHO! Cho was the Son of Man! And you fuckers killed him again! No one is saved...you will all burn in fucking hell!
Why did these people die? Did they succumb to terminal illness such as cancer? Airplane crash perhaps? Maybe planes crashing in some tower? Or I guess I know, HIV. They should distribute more condoms in these schools, you know girls gone wild, too much lesbianism and people fagging it out. Rather than crying after the fact, why we cannot prevent lesbianism and faggotism
I lost a old friend. Henry lee. He didn't deserve to be shot, noone does. All he wanted in life was to have fun and go far with people he loved. The bullies in schools should be held responsible for this incident but not even this event will change people. That's how bad the world is, most minds can't understand this. As long as theres violence in lifestyles there will always be murders. May the victims rest in peace.

He suffered from being harrassed by his classmates and teachers. He was like that girl Carrie in that stephen king movie. An outcast, rejected by ignorant people who thought he was a "freak". Those people who had harassed him died from their own ignorance, not from his bullets. The others who were innocent were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
You fucking loon! Say that again if it happened to your Son, Daughter, Mother or Father! You arrogant little person! You know NOTHING! Not a thing! How DARE you justify what he did!
Yes...maybe people did torment him, maybe they DID ignore him, bully him, tease him...but tough shit! It happens in classes, that doesnt mean we can walk into a classroom with a gun and fire more than 200 rounds into innocent human beings! How DARE you justify a cold blooded killing spree because he was TEASED! IDIOT!
You are not getting the point, and your programmed mind is preventing you from understanding. Read the last line of my comment from 2 weeks ago.
Teasing is not mean, but light play. Harassment and humuliation, which is what he expereined all of his life, along with a neglect, is what is cruel and undeserving of anybody. Before you condem the 'killer", take a walk in his shoes. You'll be susprised what you find.
You have to open your mind to universal feelings. You have to be able to understand a persons pain to truely feel pain yourself. You know how people can get mad and go on rampages without realizing there harm or change there personalitiy due to anger or sadness? Being shunned, bullied, critized by everyone you know can make you feel the same about everyone. He chose the wrong action against the wrong people. But Its not solely his fault, Its our emotions and actions. Were not perfect.
I'm so sorry..... great guys with families.... boyfriends and girlfriends..... i hope they're in paradise..... i'm italian but i've american heart....
Just as our existence is like a moment in eternity, they will go on. The lesson we must all learn to be better people who help the outcasts even at the cost of our own reputations...people with no reputations talk to the outcast(s) and that doesn't help because the weaker is not "lifted up". You know what's weird is that the "chuch" is a barrier for those who stray instead of reaching out. I'm saying this b/c those who turn away from the truth always go straight the other direction.
my sister's friend was killed. i believe Cho should be memorialized too. nobody deserved what they got that day, but without Cho's mental illness and mistreatment in his early school years, nobody would have died that day. i firmly believe that cho had Schizoid Personality Disorder and Paranoid Schizophrenia. I think there should be more emphasis on the killer's mental state when these things happen, rather on just how they got their guns. R.I.P. all 33 victims.
I agree, if more emphasis was put on helping people, and mental health awareness, I believe less crap in the world would happen. I believe a more caring and understanding world, would prevent some of this stuff from happening
I agree that more could have been done about his mental illness BUT many people suffer of mental illness and they dont go around murdering people, so there was intent and premeditation on his part. Also, look at Canada, UK and other countries with strict gun laws, they dont' have crazy shootings like we do. We need more gun regulation in the US.
why do people who dont deserve to die, die? when there are serial killers on the loose, and rapests, robbers, why dont they get punished.... it makes no sence.... i wonder why god does the things he does....i had a friend die because some stupid ,senceless, idiot, went on a rampage shooting people who did nothing to him or anyone else.... its bull shit, and i hope that ass hole rots in hell. R.I.P. to all who died that day.
I still remember this very day, I knew about Columbine, an I knew its anniversary was coming up and was kind of expecting a highschool shooting again around the month of April. I came home that day, urned on the tv, and there it was. Campus shooting at Virginia Tech, I watched as the body count rose to the worst school shooting in American History. Tomorrows the 20th. Aniversary of Columbine, i wouldnt be surprised if something happened again. R.I.P all victims to both Columbine and V.T.
In part, you are very correct. It was reported that he was on the autism spectrum. Highly intelligent, yet anti-social. With 1 in 150 children these days diagonsed, what does our future hold? And the goverment keeps denying therapy. in 45 of our states, autism is NOT covered!
Weep over them because they were brutally gunned down for no reason. So the problem here doesn't lie here in lack of health care you idiot, it lies in gun control. How the fuck did this kid get his hands on what he used to blow away all these innocent people.
i guess its an april kind of thing. R.I.P victims and bless your souls. Theyre in a better place now wherever they are. Cho had no reason or right to do this, Once again R.I.P
i dono y but i feel the worst for these victims than any other victims in school shootings. except for the shootings in elementary schools. those shootings and vtech have the biggest effect on me. i dono y.
I remember tat day. I was sitting in PSY191 at Augusta Tech here in Augusta, GA and my kept callingt and clling my cell. I finally stepped out of class and walked outside and answered. She was frantic and crying. She kept saying are you ok? are you ok?!? I had no idea the shooting happened. Apparently my mom just heard about a tech college mass shooting and didnt bother to hear the rest of it. She and my dad were so so scared.
evil become the best justice, beacause we live in an evil world, im not pessimiste, but these thing will always happening, this particular thing was not neccesary and was done by a sad man, but in a context, from politic, for survive, and for cause, violence is the only way to express our desagree, without it, we should still be at prehistoric age, and im sure of that. And this kind of action in a society who support gun and way to do his own justice, and stars, well, shit happen, sad for victim
wtf you have it backwards. we had no real way of communicating in the prehistoric age so we used violence to express our disagreements. sure that exact kind of thing still happens today and may never stop happening but we're evolved now, there are better ways to deal with these problems. and even if we do live in an evil world, that can't be used to justify wrongful acts such as this.
shit, i didn't know they had computers back in the 7th century. we have to use the progressive knowledge and better judgment we as human beings have gained because that, not simple violence, is what's allowed us to outlast and become the greatest creatures on earth. it's the only way we'll survive and if you can't understand that, sad for you.
Hi my name is Esmeralda from Peru. This song really touched me since the first time i Heard it. I wanna know who sing it. what is the name of the song. This song match with the events. I really like it. I cried when I watched the news. Not only for the peruvian student, for all the students who was killed. I was in shock. I couldn't believe it and when I heard the song it really like me. How I told before it match with the events. I hope someone can answer me. Bye and greats from Peru
I just read, with tears in my eyes, a paper of Professor Loganathan's and wanted to pay tribute to a fellow scientist and engineer. I'm just so saddened that such a brilliant man met such an untimely end. Prof. Loganathan was a personal friend of my PhD advisor and 4/16/2007 was a miserable day for all of us at Vanderbilt. We grieved with you.
I hope all the families and friends of the fallen can somehow, some way, some day find peace. Their spirit is inextinguishable.
Only because he got bullied he had no right to do this! Why couldn't he just change school? The people he killed had nothing to do with it (many of them didn't evan knew him)!
i'm not saying he had any right to do what he did, but if you read about how fucked up his life was you would understand what would make a person do this.
Its sad... how fucking dumb and idiotic people are.. It doesnt make any sense. He had no right to shoot all those people for the reason he had. Peice of shit..
Its very hard here in Jamaica to get a legal gun. The diff. between Jamaica & the USA is, here the gangs are wanting the guns, while in the States your average folk wants a gun.
it's not that simple. we have too many legal proceedings and with the way the rights were originally written, the USA has to worry about infringing on basic rights of people to bear arms.
he was such a quiet person but very devoted in his work.. i wish it never came down to this.. but to be in shock when i turned on the news and the first name that poped was him i shed tears .. knowing out of everyone it happend to him .. i miss u Matt till this day i still look back on the old days. See u up there my friend. ill see u again
sad to think this could have been solved this guy could have gotten some real help all these innocent people killed because 1 man, its sad to think this could happen in any school =( my best friends brother got shot here.. r.i.p all those poor victims, i pray for there familys.
R.I.P (Rest In Power) This goes out to all the people who had to go on that wery ufortunate day, and to all the families that lost a loved one. I am so sorry for all those families. Anyone o fhose students could have changed th United States into a better place. Its so sad how the human life can be taken at any second, and how it is so valuble. Why cant the world just be a better place?
wasnt he like a ex mental patient or summit ? this video is very sad those people didnt deserve to die for his issues may they all rest in peace and americans vote for anti guns in your country i hope this never happens again its just not the anwser to any issue peace everyone
The whole VT thing is unbelievable, unreal. Jeremy Herbstritt was a nice guy from our town. His younger brother graduated just last year and now its his sisters turn today. No one ever thought that something so serious would ever happen to someone from Bellefonte/State College. His sisters 2006/2007 graduation is today and many memories are still lingering with us all here in central pa. may god bless you all.
can't belive it... all these people spent their lives preparring for a future that would never come... sometimes I wonder... is it really worth it? If this is how it ends, then you might just live for the day... all these people didn't deserve it... and yeah, you might say you are sorry for the guy too, you may be right, but nothing it's a good excuse to what he did...
I feel bad for all of them and thier families also for the shoter cause it says that his gf dumped him and he was so hurt that he took it out on the people at VT so it must hav hurt him bad and even though he is dead i bet he still regrets doing that
Yes we should support our troops but it was there choice to join the army and go fight. These were innocent people paying for an education or giving one. It was just a normal day and then there lives were over.
I pray for all who lost their life that day and those who knew them. I know what it's like to lose people. I know what it's like to watch someone be killed and not be able to stop it. He was provoked. Though I would never resort to killing to end someone's bullying, I would not just let it go without retaliation. People who bully others need punishment. It's very sad that he decided to punish them that way. What's done is done. He's in Hell now, forever being punished.
Sound's like you have some discrimination in your mind. Yes, he was bullied and yes that's why he did it. Pretty much the same thing happened at Columbine. The guy had mental problems. That's why he took such drastic action against the people bullying him. They didn't deserve death, but they shouldn't have bullied anyone.
this massacre makes no sense to me
how does one person kill 33 people with a handgun?
makes me wonder if anyony every attempted to ambush him or take him down.

I think there should be more emphasis on the killer's mental state when these things happen, rather on just how they got their guns. R.I.P. all 33 victims.
SkunkApeDrone187 2 years ago 4
I agree, if more emphasis was put on helping people, and mental health awareness, I believe less crap in the world would happen. I believe a more caring and understanding world, would prevent some of this stuff from happening
nirvanakat 2 years ago
i agree. the tides are definately going to shift very soon.
JUKIO01 2 years ago
I agree that more could have been done about his mental illness BUT many people suffer of mental illness and they dont go around murdering people, so there was intent and premeditation on his part. Also, look at Canada, UK and other countries with strict gun laws, they dont' have crazy shootings like we do. We need more gun regulation in the US.

gun regulation wont solve anything

I can't understand sometimes why evil can overpower good in this world...
The horror these people must have experienced is beyond most of our comprehension...
The only comfort I hold is that there is another place now of pure good that these victims now exist in...
and in turn, we all shall see them again someday...

evil become the best justice, beacause we live in an evil world, im not pessimiste, but these thing will always happening, this particular thing was not neccesary and was done by a sad man, but in a context, from politic, for survive, and for cause, violence is the only way to express our desagree, without it, we should still be at prehistoric age, and im sure of that. And this kind of action in a society who support gun and way to do his own justice, and stars, well, shit happen, sad for victim
GJGJ654 3 years ago
wtf you have it backwards. we had no real way of communicating in the prehistoric age so we used violence to express our disagreements. sure that exact kind of thing still happens today and may never stop happening but we're evolved now, there are better ways to deal with these problems. and even if we do live in an evil world, that can't be used to justify wrongful acts such as this.
retardstupidass 3 years ago
shit, i didn't know they had computers back in the 7th century. we have to use the progressive knowledge and better judgment we as human beings have gained because that, not simple violence, is what's allowed us to outlast and become the greatest creatures on earth. it's the only way we'll survive and if you can't understand that, sad for you.

Its very hard here in Jamaica to get a legal gun. The diff. between Jamaica & the USA is, here the gangs are wanting the guns, while in the States your average folk wants a gun.
Tougher laws or get rid of the guns altogether.
344Rhino 4 years ago
it's not that simple. we have too many legal proceedings and with the way the rights were originally written, the USA has to worry about infringing on basic rights of people to bear arms.

BurningGundam02 4 years ago
did that guy kill from bullying? i thought he just didnt get a short asian dick up his ass that morning?
Johncenaisbeast 4 years ago
Sound's like you have some discrimination in your mind. Yes, he was bullied and yes that's why he did it. Pretty much the same thing happened at Columbine. The guy had mental problems. That's why he took such drastic action against the people bullying him. They didn't deserve death, but they shouldn't have bullied anyone.
BurningGundam02 4 years ago
